Hotels in Kagoshima

"Hotel is really convenient located within the shopping and food area. It’s just a short walk away. Cheaper parking is located nearby if required. Only weird thing is the room comes with 2 different types of pillow and we are unable to request 1 more of the type we like."

"Huge bath tub within the room. Slightly bigger room than japan's average because of that but living area is smaller as a result. There is a sofa in this room but that takes up the space for luggage. Overall pretty good. Just opppsite the jr station with underground access. Sakurajima was covered by clouds when I was there."

"So surprise the entrance of hotel is inside the station. This is even nearer than JR hotel at Oita. So convenient!! Their breakfast is good too but a bit expensive at 1980 yen which is same at Oita. With lots of eating places around and of course the ferry wheel not to be missed. Got the CUTE pass at tourist centre to take bus to City Aquarium / port for ferry to Sakurashima to view volcano. Spent around 4h from hotel and back to port for the trip only as we didn’t stop at all bus stations in the Sakurashima. Glad to try the longest leg bath there. Watched few mins of free dolphin show at the canal of the port too. Took tram back to hotel to rest. Then went for ferry wheel and took bus to tenmonkan to visit donki. Back to kagoshimachuo for dinner at 7pm and rested for the day. Really very super convenient place / city. By the way only 2 washer and 2 dryer in the hotel North Wing, so if you need to do laundry do plan else long queue."

"Was upgraded from single bed to a large room with a sea view. It has a little balcony and was a great value. I could tell meals in the restaurant would be fabulous but too expensive for me. There are outdoor hot and warm pools but you have to change in your room and although there is a sort of back way in, it is not completely private as some rooms look down on it so may be expected to wear swimwear. The swimming pool is closed except for July and August."

"Hotel is at a convenient location. Hotel car parking is 1100 yen per day but only for vehicles with height less than 1.55m."

"A very good memories staying in Richmond hotel Kinseicho, the staffs are very friendly, and it is convenient that there are laundry serivce(washing machine at the hotel) and free ice cube to take at 9th floor. The room was big though for one person staying. The environment was clean and quiet, I hope next time can bring my family here to stay. For the location, temonkan is nearby and easy to walk around Kagoshima city, I walked from hotel to Kagoshima Chuo Station, very convenient"

"A new hotel with excellent location. It’s just next to the shopping streets with lots of restaurants & souvenir shops. Got amenities such as bath salt, tea bags, drip coffee & cleansing oil/ lotion at hotel lobby for you to pick up. The restaurant where you take breakfast commands a stunning panoramic view. Will stay here again."

"It was a wonderful stay. The hotel management was excellent, and the room was in great condition. I want to give a special mention to Miss Gotanda 五反田, who guided me after check-in. Her detailed explanations and warm smile set a positive tone even before I checked in. The hotel's hot spring overlooks Sakurajima volcano, enjoy hot spring while watching the sunrise was a truly delightful experience. I will definitely come back again next time."

"Room was a decent size, fully equipped with washing machine, kitchen utensils, fridge, microwave. Very clean. Unfortunately I did not receive the email with the entry code for the main entrance. That resulted in my waiting outside in the cold for almost an hour before getting the code through Trip.com customer service, before I could enter the building and into my room. Also, Staytus only has a phone number to call for emergencies - it would be helpful to have at least an email alternative also, since foreigners may not have a mobile phone that can make calls in Japan. "

"As always, the Japanese hotel is clean and sanitary. It is located in the center of the city. It is about 15 minutes walk from the station and about 10-15 minutes walk to the pier. Life is quite convenient"
