GGuest UserNice brand new hotel in a good location. The room is very spacious, and the onsen is the best. You must try it. I didn't try the breakfast, so no comment on food. There is free shuttle bus service from Kagoshima Chuo to the hotel every 30 mins.

GGuest UserThe location is superb, room was clean, spacious and with a nice balcony. The room provided all you need on a leisure trip.
The only downside was it was super complicated and time consuming to contact the hostel for entrance pin, check-in procedure and check-in number. We asked the front desk receptionist of our previous hotel to call the hostel number stated on trip.com booking confirmation email in morning, but no one picked up; called again at 3pm, and the hostel hotline said the number was wrong and referred us to call another number. If we did not have the assistance from a Japanese local receptionist from another hotel, I dont think we could get the entrance pin and check-in procedure information smoothly.
I recommend this hostel to Japanese local, or tourists with a Japanese mobile number to make calls/able to find assistance from Japanese local people.

If you plan on frequently using JR trains, this is your top choice. Beyond the prime location, the rooms aren't small, and amenities like washing machines and a smoking room are available, though there's no communal hot spring bath. The hotel offers two breakfast options: Japanese and Western, with the Japanese breakfast being more extensive. Many might worry about noise due to the proximity to the station, but in my personal experience, it was perfectly quiet for a good night's sleep. One thing to note: full room cleaning only happens on the third consecutive day of your stay. For the first two days, only a light cleaning is provided (towel and pajama replacement, and trash removal – bedding isn't changed). However, if you need a full cleaning, you can inform the front desk before 10 AM. Overall rating: 4.8!

3320742****The hotel's location is incredibly convenient. It's right across the street from Kagoshima-Chuo Station, the city tram stop, and bus stops, making it super easy to get anywhere. What's even better is that the hotel elevator goes directly down to B1, which connects to an underground pass. This means you can easily get to the other side of the road to catch transportation, whether it's scorching hot or raining. Plus, there's an airport bus stop on the hotel's first floor, providing a seamless connection to the airport. The transportation here is truly convenient beyond imagination.
In terms of daily necessities, there's a 5-story Aeon mall just across one traffic light, and a Lawson convenience store on the hotel's first floor. You'll never have to worry about stocking up on food and drinks.
For views, there are two directions. To the west, you can see the Ferris wheel at Chuo Station, and to the east, you can catch a glimpse of Sakurajima volcano, though it's completely dark at night and only visible during the day.
The hotel rooms are quite small, with most of the space dedicated to the bathroom, which surprisingly has a separate wet and dry area. The bedroom, however, couldn't be any smaller. With two beds placed, they practically merge, leaving almost no space for luggage. Moving around is a bit of a squeeze.

GGuest UserThe room is genuinely cozy, sparkling clean, and feels like a new apartment. It's about a 7-8 minute walk from Tenmonkan. The street downstairs is lined with nightclubs, so it's probably best not to return too late. There's a 7-Eleven downstairs and a local supermarket diagonally opposite, offering all sorts of fresh meat and vegetables. It was perfect for us to buy ingredients and use the room's kitchenware for a satisfying yakiniku or shabu-shabu meal. The local wagyu and kurobuta pork were incredibly fragrant and absolutely delicious! Check-in and check-out are fully self-service, which has its pros and cons. The advantage is the peace, quiet, and freedom it offers. However, the downside is that if it's raining and you need help calling a taxi, there's no staff member available to assist you. A taxi ride to Kagoshima-Chuo Station costs about 1000 yen. I would definitely choose to stay here again if I have the opportunity.

TTOSHI Japan555I came to Kagoshima for work, so I stayed at this hotel. I actually bought a ticket to Kagoshima Chuo Station, but I got off at the next station, Kagoshima Station, and the hotel was within walking distance from there. It was so close that I arrived while walking while watching the tram. At night, I ate in the famous downtown area called Tenmonkan, had a meal and a drink, and felt good, so I took a taxi back to the hotel. I think it would have cost about 1,200 yen even if I had a convenience store stop. It was very close. The room here is 13 square meters, so I thought it would be small, but it was compact, but the facilities were well-equipped and very comfortable. I didn't mind the smallness. The bed was a semi-double, which was quite large. I came to Kagoshima for work, so I used a desk and chair. So that was the only disadvantage. As you can see in the photo, the chair had no backrest and was not comfortable. It was a compact room and the price was cheap, so if I wanted to do proper desk work on a chair with a backrest, I thought I would have to get a slightly larger room. But I was very satisfied with this room this time.

MM313222****The hotel isn't too far from Kagoshima-Chuo Station by taxi, and it's right opposite Sakurajima. You can see Sakurajima and the ocean from the room, so the view is fantastic – a really beautiful ocean view room. Plus, the room size is quite large for a Japanese hotel. On the second floor, there's an outdoor swimming pool and a hot spring, and you can also see Sakurajima and the ocean from the pool area, which is great. The Japanese restaurant on the second floor serves delicious Japanese food. Getting a taxi from the hotel to Kagoshima-Chuo Station can be a bit inconvenient, but there's a bus stop near the ferry terminal, where you can catch a bus to the city center and Kagoshima-Chuo Station.

RRomanLet’s start with good things. There is little kitchen you can use. There is free tea. There are two showers and one toilet room near the former entrance. Washing machine is free. The place is opened 24 hours. Wifi is fine. The mat and pillow are comfy. English-friendly.
Now, some bad things. It seems that the place knew much better days. Now, as many others, it became a home for those who work, not travel. It means it is still noisy after 22:00 in the dorm room. Guys can turn on the lights and leave them on. Locker doors slamming, etc. A few tenants did not care about clearing shower after them, same with the toilet slippers that are mandatory but tenants use the ordinary ones. If you are sensitive for this, consider choosing another place or at least a private room.

Mmu～chan～Very clean and the atmosphere is super good;
The first floor is coffee, the second floor is a mixed dormitory, the third floor is a female-only dormitory, the facilities are complete (kitchenette, laundry room), and the room is relatively large. And it is only 5 minutes walk from JR Kagoshima, which is very convenient.
But please note the CHECK IN time, because it is not a hotel, but a homestay, so the staff stays until 7 pm, come
