Dormy Inn Kagoshima

Fantastic hotel! I'd definitely choose to stay here again next time. It's not far from Kagoshima-Chuo, and there's a tram stop right outside the door, making it easy to get to Kagoshima Station. The onsen (hot spring bath) is wonderful, and after a soak, they offer ice cream, drinks, and ramen. Highly recommend!

Highly recommended hotel! The front desk staff are all super enthusiastic, and I even met a lovely Chinese girl working there. The breakfast is really rich and delicious, and the late-night ramen (Yeming Noodle) was also very tasty – the lady serving it was really busy! The hot spring on the 14th floor, though not large, is very clean. I stayed in a single room, and there's an extra door between the room and the main corridor, which made it very quiet. The airport bus stop is very close to the hotel, just two traffic lights away. Kagoshima is a beautiful place, and everyone I met was so kind and helpful. It’s also been a sister city with Changsha for over 30 years.

The location is fantastic, with incredibly convenient transportation; it's just steps from Takadanobaba Station, and the planetarium is a mere 2-minute walk. They offer a generous breakfast spread and even complimentary late-night ramen. The highlight is the large rooftop public bath, complete with free popsicles. Although the room facilities are a bit dated, they were spotlessly clean and well-maintained.
