[Devon Rest, the cutest hotel in Kandy]
The Devon Rest that I stayed at in Kandy, Sri Lanka was absolutely amazing!
It was cute, spacious, clean, stylish, and just so comfortable.
The breakfast had a wide variety of Western and Sri Lankan dishes, and was carefully presented.
The staff were also very kind, and I felt like a princess!
I would wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone who wants to make their hotel a part of their travel memories.

We stayed ten days at Devon Rest Kandy in May 2025. It was most memorable stay for both of us. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Room was very cleaned and modern. Big thank to housekeeping staff also to restaurant and front office staff. We will definitely stay at Devon Rest our next visit to Sri Lanka.

It was a torrential rainy day and I went with my friends by foot. We were not sure how whether they will even open the door to us. We were that awful looking at the time with dripping wet shoes and all. But from the security person to waiters and the manager all were super nice and helpful. We had a great time had great food for a very reasonable price! Definately coming back with my family.

Great place within walking distance to the major attractions. Loved the atmosphere and the view of the lake from the balcony. Clean and spacious rooms. Food was also delicious and served warm. Helpful staff as always. We will definitely be back.

We booked in for High Tea on Sunday 11 May 2025, not really knowing what to expect. We can honestly say that we were 100% satisfied with everything: Value for money - LKR 2500 per person for all you can eat buffet High Tea for 2 hours. Includes welcome juice, water, Tea and coffee. We were also able to purchase Mocktails at extra cost, and these were delicious and well priced. Staff: Went out of their way to make us feel welcome, as we were the only 2 Non Locals there (we are from Australia). A special mention to Akeela. She was absolutely delightful and checked in on us to ensure we were completely happy. I can highly recommend the food and service.

A very clean and comfortable hotel, the staff are very friendly and helpful, especially Akeela. The location of the hotel is by the lake and the lake view is superior, I also recommend this hotel for families because of its location and cleanliness.

Such a pleasant surprise Our room was beautiful with a great view of the lake. Spotlessly clean. Very comfy bed and luxury bed linen. Great location overlooking Kandy Laje Friendly, helpful staff. Delicious restaurant food We will return for sure.
