Lake Villas Premium Kandy
"Booked an attractive well maintained two story villa in this well landscaped, gated community with security guard, at short notice directly with property through WhatsApp. Booking process was smooth and owner was responsive and permitted payment on arrival. On site staff provided a warm welcome and provided assistance in securing a tuk tuk transfer to the T20 cricket in Pallekele which was the reason for our visit. Moreover in the morning they delivered and set up an extensive English breakfast in the property. A modest sized swimming pool and gym were available within the complex but not utilized by us on this occasion. Exceptional value and strongly recommended."
Bougainvillea Retreat
"As soon as we stepped in, we found ourselves in paradise! It is a very private and beautiful villa surrounded by a stunning jungle. Shannon and the staff have been great in accommodating us during our stay, always ensuring our comfort and satisfaction. The food is amazing—light, delicious, and thoughtfully prepared, perfectly complementing the serene environment. Thank you so much for your friendly hospitality. We are looking forward to coming back and experiencing this little slice of paradise once again."
Blissful Ridge Bungalow Kandy
"Would stay at this premises again. Originally told that room did not come with AC (No remote in room) or Wi Fi. The Wi Fi was clearly stated in the booking and this was later provided as well as a remote when challenged about this. Room was modern and spacious, bed was comfortable with good quality linen. No fridge or kettle in the room. Room was off a well furnished common room and could potentially be a problem if other guests stay and are a little too loud, if you are an early to bed type."
Cinnamon Citadel Kandy
"Nothing to complain. All good. We enjoyed very well."
Adigars Manor Kandy - A Boutique Heritage Hotel Built in 1804
"We had a very enjoyable stay at Adigar's Manor and we received excellent service from Ajantha. The hotel is very comfortable and the restaurant is excellent, providing a good choice of menu and delicious freshly made food. The hotel is located near Kandy, and local traditional entertainment is provided on some nights. The surrounding grounds are well maintained."
Cassendra Hotel Kandy
"Nice hotel with great hospitality and staff were so nice and humnle specially a lady namely Hasma received with plenty of smile good hospitality"
The Theva Residency
"Overall an excellent hotel with excellent service. We had a room which ended up having a small leak in the wall and they gave us an upgrade to a better room with a jacuzzi which was very nice but honestly the other room was nice as well. As it’s ultra low season there was never many people in the hotel so the staff couldn’t be more helpful Things to be aware of It’s quite a way up the hill from town you can walk down in 40 mins if you don’t get lost but it would be quite a slog up . I got a tuk tuk up for 700 Rupees which is just over 2 dollars. Ok what about the food ? …,overall excellent. Wonderful breakfasts dreamy dinner love the possibly too small portions of meatballs with so many flavour profiles and the black pork curry was fantastic maybe could have been a bit more spicy but I guess they are catering for a very international audience. If anything wasn’t quite as you wanted it you they did this best to change it. They could have mean more generous with the free water in the room rather than 2 tiny bottles ( but when asked they always provided them free of charge . The mats for the sun beds need to be replaced as they slip off all the time as all the straps are broken These though are very very minor points So would I stay here again definitely and for what I paid due to the season excellent value. Food is a real positive. Definitely high end Asian fusion The range of juices all freshly made are all excellent. Great hotel glad we decided to stay there and will certainly come back next time I’m in Kandy. The Staff make it. One final point up so high on the hill the air is much much cleaner , there is a lovely breeze and it’s much calmer than down in the town. For an extended stay this for me is the only location I would stay in"
Amaya Hills Kandy
"Very friendly and helpful front desk. Food was good, the restaurant staff very average! Super good location and facilities."
The Trees, Kandy
"Had an incredible experience here. Great hospitality and amazing views. The pool on the roof top was beautiful."

Jetwing Kandy Gallery, A Luxury Reserve
"Jetwing Kandy – Absolutely Flawless! I’ve just stayed at Jetwing Kandy, (unfortunately just for 1 night) and I have to say, this is hands down the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at so far. From the moment you arrive, the experience is nothing short of spectacular. The welcome ceremony sets the tone perfectly, making you feel truly special. The service is incredible—I was even given a mobile phone with my own private butler, which made everything effortless. The staff are attentive without being intrusive, and there is literally nothing you could wish for that they wouldn’t provide. The views are absolutely stunning, whether from the immaculate, modern rooms or while enjoying the hotel’s amenities. Each room comes with a coffee machine and the most beautiful view, making mornings unforgettable. Food here is another highlight. The à la carte breakfast is divine, and the complementary afternoon hors d’oeuvres and evening drink service are delightful touches that elevate the stay. Every meal I had was amazing, with flavors and presentation that exceeded expectations. The hotel is located about 20min from Kandy town. It is quite secluded but perfect it you are after tranquillity. You can simply relax, have a massage, swim in the infinity pool. Bliss! I could not fault this hotel one bit—from the design and cleanliness of the rooms to the impeccable service and breathtaking scenery. Jetwing Kandy is truly a five-star experience in every sense. If you’re looking for perfection, this is it."
Taru Villas Kandy
"The hotel has a total of nine rooms, an English-style villa with a swimming pool. The food was quite good, and I especially appreciated the tea selection, the brand Peekoh Tea, which had a sweet aftertaste. The curry and rice for dinner were both delicious and beautifully presented. There was some noise from insects chirping at night and trains passing after 6 a.m., so there was some noise. For example, room #1 is right next to the restaurant corridor, so the soundproofing was average. At under 1,000 yuan per night, I think the value is much better than the Eleven Hotels in China. This villa is part of a chain with about nine locations. I hope their business continues to grow."
The Golden Crown Hotel
"I absolutely loved this hotel! The location was great, and the views were nice. I only wish I could have stayed longer to enjoy more of the peaceful atmosphere. My room was cozy and relaxing, and I especially loved the bathtub which was perfect for unwinding after a long day. The infinity pool was another highlight with gorgeous ocean views, though it was a bit on the cool side. I do wish it had been heated, but it was still a beautiful spot to relax. Room service was great too! Good selection and reasonably priced for a hotel. Cons: On my last day, I treated myself to a 90-minute aromatherapy massage at the spa. Unfortunately, I’d rate the spa a 5/10. Living in Thailand has definitely spoiled me with incredible massages, so I admit my standards are high! Still, I think the spa could use a bit of a refresh. The rooms smelled a bit old and weren’t very visually appealing. It was also quite cold during the body scrub and massage, which made it hard to fully relax. Breakfast was okay, but I wish there were more Western-style options available. Overall, I’d definitely stay here again. Everything about the hotel itself was lovely, I’d just skip the spa next time!"
Kings Pavilion Luxury Hotel
"We had a lovely experience at the kings pavilion all the staff were so friendly and welcoming ! The housekeeping did an amazing job leaving a great towel arrangement in the room! The food was also amazing and the service really attentive!"
Hotel Suisse Kandy - since 1890
"Hotel Suisse carries a colonial charm that takes you back in time. The food is good, offering a fair range of choices. However, the dining experience was slightly marred by some worn napkins. The air conditioning in our room was a bit loud, but it didn't keep us from having a comfortable stay. I might look into other hotels in the area next time to experience something different."
Skyloft Kandy by Aaradhya
"The highlight is the incredible rooftop infinity pool. Perfect to chill in at the end of a day of seeing sights. The rooms, gym, restaurants were all good. It was a little difficult to get a taxi from the hotel sometimes as it's quite high up, but walking 10 minutes down and ordering solves this."
Villa Vajrapani
"Absolutely beautiful place, approx 14km from Kandy. A beautiful villa, in 9 acres of beautiful, hillside garden. A well maintained infinity pool just caps it off. The homecooked food is absolutely delicious - the Sri Lankan dishes and the feta salad are a must. What caps this place off is the staff - kind, helpful and attentive; just really nice people. They helped me when my driver couldn't access the usual road due to a landslide."
Oak Ray Regency
"Very good and hamble staff specially front staff, foodies very yummy"
Thilanka Hotel Kandy
"Very nice hotel in a great part of Kandy. There are very nice views from the infinity pool"
Mount Blue Kandy
"The hotel staff were very friendly and made us feel really welcome . Our room was large, comfortable and had the best views of the valley below . If you want to explore Kandy on foot this is not the best area to be in. The hotel is up a very windy, steep road and remote from the city. It's a peaceful place away from the town. If you want a 1 night stopover whilst passing thru Kandy then it's perfect . We had a minor issue with our room and the staff dealt with it instantly ."
View360
"Slow & poor service Chef rejected our breakfast @7 am Room arrangement was bad Calls never answered Quantity of food is good We were in half board basis as a honeymoon couple.we request our breakfast @ 7 am but chef rejected it and they informed us that they start their shift at 7 am and unable to prepare our breakfast to the requested time THE Manager was not in the property and we had to struggle a lot to arrange our needs The waiter had no idea what to do in this kind of small circumstances Calls were never been answered The hotel owner should be exra cautious regarding the guests needs and wants Most importantly the manager does not know how to manage the staff and the maintenance of the property We as hoteliers never recommend this hotel to anyone Never recommend this hotel to anyone Owner please contact us"
Fox Kandy by Fox Resorts - Luxury in the Mist
"I am giving a good rating here, but also want to be very fair and objective. This hotel definitely does not deserve full points, but I was forced to leave a 5/5 review on Tripadvisor the day I checked out, which I had since deleted. While I understand that tourism is a big thing for Sri Lanka, this isn't the way to do business and it isn't fair if travellers get misinformed. Yes, the hotel is perched on a hill and is suitable for you if you prefer peace and quiet after a day in the city, but extended stays might get troublesome due to the winding, narrow hilly roads. There's an infinity pool with nature views but slippers are surely recommended because the changing room/bathroom is away from the pool. The room was also nice and comfy except that the air-con blew directly at the bed despite having adjusted the vane and fan speed. Definitely do not open the windows at night to prevent bugs from entering."
Hasthi Boutique Hotel
"Stayed two nights when we explored Kandy. This hotel is new, with wonderful rooms and a pool. Managed and owned by a nice family. The breakfasts were superb. One of the mighty were tempted to eat dinner too, we did not regret that. Highly recommended."
Mahaweli Reach Hotel
"Nature view and pool is superb Iron box was broken Curtains were damaged but other than that all were good"
French Garden Kandy
"This place is amazing! The room is so nice has great ac and the bed is great. The dinner and breakfast is amazing and good priced. They have a great pool and the owner is amazing! 100/10 recommend staying here! It’s also great for the price. Stayed in other places in Kandy and this one is way better!"
Kandy Victoria Eco Resort
"Had a pleasant stay here. NB it’s 20-30 min ride outside of Kandy and you will need to ask the accommodation to arrange transport for you going from there as PickMe doesn’t work. However it’s got great views and is far from the crowded, polluted streets of Kandy. It’s up quite a steep hillside. Possible for a tuktuk but if several passengers a car would be better. The accommodation is simple but good value for money. Food was nice apart from one dinner of beef curry - cook used meat that needed slower cooking so it was fatty and tough. However sauce and rice were very tasty. Breakfast was plentiful and good with a choice of Sri Lankan or English."
Suki Villa with free Breakfast
"Everything is fine, the hosts are attentive and responsive, the location is good, the views are gorgeous, the breakfast is not bad, the room is also in good condition, it’s perfect for a couple of days, I recommend 👍"
The Elephant Stables
"This was my second visit to The Elephant Stables - and it was amazing! This beautiful and inviting small boutique hotel is incredibly hospitable. The hotel is designed to make you feel at home and pampered. Everyone there works together to ensure that you have an absolutely amazing time. Our group explored Kandy during the morning and returned in the afternoon for a much-needed swim. Nihal, the delightful barman, brought us refreshing cocktails poolside to help us cool down. While we were there, we had the most amazing breakfasts and dinners made by Indika, the master chef, and his team. All 6 of us agreed - the meals we had here were hands down, the best meals we had in Sri Lanka!"
Oak Ray Heritage Hotel
"I had a great stay at Oak Ray Heritage Premium Hotel in Kandy. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable, with a beautiful view that made the stay even more relaxing. The food was also delicious, with a good variety of local and international options. Overall, a pleasant experience—would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Kandy!"
