Hotels in Kandy Lake Front, Kandy

The room was quite spacious. There were three of us, and they provided an extra bed. When I booked on Trip.com, I saw that the beds were listed as 1.3 meters, but they all turned out to be quite large – the double beds were mostly 1.8 meters, and the single beds were about 1 meter. This hotel is located on a hill, and we stayed on the second floor, which didn't have an elevator, but the staff helped with our luggage. Breakfast is available at the hotel. The staff confirmed our breakfast time the night before, and we could choose between local Sri Lankan breakfast and English breakfast. One of the local dishes was extremely spicy; I took one bite and started coughing non-stop. A young man saw this and immediately brought me a glass of water – the service was absolutely fantastic. The milk tea was delicious, sweet with a slight bitterness, a bit like Hong Kong's Yuanyang. Very good!

The hotel boasts a prime location in close proximity to the Maligawa and the lake. The accommodations are well-maintained and equipped with ample amenities for a comfortable stay. It's worth noting that the rates may be slightly higher compared to other lodging options in the area.

The hotel's location is excellent, right next to the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. It's also a historic hotel in Kandy, so it seems like a popular spot for Sri Lankans to take wedding photos, which I think makes for a good experience. It also appears to be a chosen accommodation for group tours organized by Japanese travel agencies. The breakfast offered a truly wide variety, and there was even a live kitchen where they made hoppers right in front of you. However, the hotel facilities seem quite old. In the room I stayed in, the button to switch from the faucet to the shower was partially broken, so no hot water came out of the shower. I probably could have asked the front desk to fix it, but since I was traveling alone and had already taken off my clothes, I found it too troublesome to deal with and just made do using a water bottle.

The people at the hotel were kind and easy to talk to. I thought it was dangerous to have no air conditioner, but unexpectedly I could only use a fan. The inside was beautiful and very good!

This was a really great hotel – excellent location and service. The views of Kandy Lake and the Temple of the Tooth Relic from our room were amazing! The restaurant served delicious food, and breakfast had generous portions. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The service was excellent; they were very attentive and quickly noticed our requests. Thank you for being so kind and friendly to my daughter.

Thank you for the upgrade to the room with a balcony, and I absolutely love the huge bathroom. Thank you for the friendly service staff who answered my every query. Waking up to the quiet of Kandy Lake before the rest of the city wakes was a really peaceful feeling and I really enjoyed just standing on tje balcony soaking in the sights. Loving the wide breakfast spread too, ranging from local fare to continental selection. I was spoilt for choice and my tummy really loved the chicken curry & daal. Thank you.

This hotel is on the top of the mountain. The view is very good, the environment is OK, the building is very distinctive, including the decoration of the room, but the worst thing is that the hygiene is very worrying, the door is a bit old, the refrigerator is so dirty that you can't get it off, and there are stains under the toilet seat There were urine stains and hair on the bed. The bed was two beds pushed together and it was uncomfortable to sleep on. The quilt was a sheet and was too tight to pull out. It was very uncomfortable to sleep on. Fortunately, there was a blanket in the cabinet to cover it with. Regarding the food, it’s not good either.

Stunning hotel with a perfect view of the lake and Tooth Relic Temple. The staff are very welcoming and check-in experience was smooth. The room was very spacious and clean with good room service food. Recommend to sit by the infinity pool to try local arrack drink and freshly baked pizza while enjoying the good view.

I stayed for two nights on a room-only basis. It's in the heart of the tourist area, with plenty of restaurants nearby. The room was clean and spacious. There's a restaurant on the first floor that's featured in guidebooks, and the staff were friendly.

The best location close to the temple and to the show. The staff was very nice and help us with everything. The room is beautiful that let us feel the vibe of Sri Lanka. Recommend.
