We loved our stay at the cinnamon citadel. The hotel and the amazing pool were perfect for relax time after sightseeing the area. The view was amazing and calm. The service was impeccable, we enjoyed dinner and music every evening and finally stayed longer than planned.

The hotel itself and its facilities are fantastic. The rooms are nice and the food is absolutely superb. Unfortunately the service in the restaurant was really poor, which made this stay absolutely unpleasant. We were given dirty table cloths (and they didn’t want to replace it after asking for it), our table was given to someone else while we were at the buffet, we had to order drinks several times until finally served, we were given the bill to sign while still eating the main dish (not even dessert) and actually wanted to order more drinks, after being seated, we had to wait min 10 min to place orders for drinks or get silverware etc. From a 5* hotel we definitely expected something better. This is the only hotel during our trip, where we experienced bad service. which is a pity, as otherwise the hotel is really nice. We would not book it again.

Location: Halfway up the mountain in Kandy, a few hundred meters walk to Kandy Lake Room: There is a small balcony, newer facilities, good bedding, and a view of the city Food: Buffet breakfast, with fewer varieties Environment: A building halfway up the mountain, with a small swimming pool next to the restaurant, and a starry sky bar on the top floor (but I didn't go up to see it)

We had such a great time staying at The Summit. The staff are friendly and helpful, they made us feel at home. We had dinner on the rooftop and it was such a lovely experience. The surrounding is peaceful and quiet. The room is clean and spacious. The view is just gorgeous.

BPR Asgiriya is a hidden gem in the busy city of Kandy. The location is great. 5 minutes drive to Dalada Maligawa. The rooms are very clean and spacious. They have family suites with adjoining bedrooms and are ideal if you are traveling with grown kids. Food was delicious and they were able to provide us with everything we requested. Mr. Gihan, Mr. Saman, and all the other staff were extremely helpful and made our stay a wonderful experience. Mr. Gihian assisted us from day 1 even before we made the reservation by providing us with all the details and answering all of our questions. We will definitely go back there and recommend BPR to our friends who are planning to visit Sri Lanka.

This hotel maybe new and had a few hiccups, but the staff more than makes up for it! Thilini made our check-in a breeze, and Ruwan was super helpful throughout our stay. We couldn't get a room with a full view of Kandy Lake, but Thilini hooked us up with a partial view that included the beautiful Temple. We were thrilled with it! Every staff member we met was so friendly and attentive, especially at the breakfast buffet and restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious. The room showed a bit of wear and tear for a hotel only a year old, like a shower that didn't drain completely, but overall, we were very comfortable. A huge shoutout to Thilini and Ruwan for their amazing service. When we were checking out and waiting for our car to Colombo, I accidentally left my handbag with all our passports in the lobby. Just five minutes into our drive, I got several calls from the hotel, which alerted me to the issue. Thilini even called from her personal phone to make sure I got the message. We turned back and got the bag, avoiding a major headache. Thank you, Thilini, for your dedication and care. We had one of the best cappuccino in Sri Lanka here.

Lovely view and soft, comfortable beds to sleep in for the night. The single, only problem I had was the waiter at the restaurant kept asking me, “are you okay, is everything good?” literally every 2 minutes. After saying “yes, thank you” multiple times, he stands there and starts a conversation, and once, just stands there and looks at me. The only thing I want to do is eat my food in peace. Lastly, after the only thing he brought me was a cappuccino (as it was a buffet so I fetch my own food), I gave a 1000 lkr tip. He was visibly upset with this and his over-friendliness completely disappeared. I didn’t dare to go back to the restaurant after this. Food was good, however!
