4-Star Hotels in Kandy

The hotel is hidden away in the mountains outside Kandy, a great spot to relax and unwind. It is about 45 minutes out of central Kandy and 20 minutes to the botanical gardens  but the hotel will helpfully arrange transport if you decide to head into town. The view from the hotel is one of the best I have ever seen and sitting, relaxing in the beautiful grounds was one of the highlights of our time in Sri Lanka. The hotel food is also excellent, with a wide variety of delicious curries available. All of the staff are extremely friendly, warm and welcoming, they went out of their way to make sure we had a good time They also have a very affectionate dog, which was a huge win!

Misty Hills Villa Kadugannawa boasts the most incredible view over local mountains, best enjoyed if you are taking a cooling dip in the (small, but perfectly positioned) infinity pool! My husband and I were very well looked after during our short stay. The hotel staff served lovely breakfasts, organised two dinners for us and booked a tuk tuk for a day trip to Kandy. They also surprised me with a beautiful little cake on my birthday and even sang to me! The only small points I would make is that the dinners are not actually cooked on site - and that the staff did not offer to clean or make up our bedroom during our 3 night stay. Nevertheless, much kindness and warmth was demonstrated towards us and we loved the rural position of the property.

The hotel is located on a high mountain. It is a bit risky if the road is not easy to walk. It is very enthusiastic to enter the store, hot towels, tea, attentive, but the first room is not well arranged, it is just in time for Christmas, it is very noisy, scared to bring the children The rest was affected. At first, the front desk manager said that there was only one room. At my request, another room was replaced. It was not cleaned when I entered, and I waited for another 20 minutes. People come to debug, but if it doesn’t work, someone else is hired to debug. In short, the environment is great! The view is excellent, but it takes time to spend on the road, cost-effective, and the price is high

Melheim Kandy Villas is a charming hillside retreat that blends comfort, nature, and warm hospitality beautifully. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully designed, with large windows or balconies that let you soak in the serene surroundings. The beds are comfortable, and the overall ambiance feels homely yet refined. While the property is generally well-maintained, a few minor maintenance touches could make it even better. One of the highlights is the service — the staff are genuinely friendly, attentive, and eager to make your stay memorable. The breakfast is hearty and flavorful, often featuring fresh local produce, and dining on the terrace with a view is a treat in itself

On the outskirts of Kandy, the top of the mountain. The road up the mountain is steep and rugged, but after entering the hotel, it is small and exquisite, full of human touch, the restaurant overlooks the Kandy Valley, the scenery is very good. It is worth mentioning the service attitude: We bring a child, and we add the extra cost of 15-20 knife in basically all hotels, but here we are exempted and a child breakfast is also given. Especially to highlight is the evening buffet, originally wanted to order a single point, the manager repeatedly persuaded, in the mentality of not giving them trouble to barely order the self-help, the result found to be an unexpected surprise. Just... It's really quite meticulous and delicious. Especially after eating a few days of five-star unflattering buffet, it was absolutely a surprise here. Оставались на одну ночь, приехали в 8 примерно, до 9 работают стойка регистрации, помогли отнести все сумки, с виду кажется отель новым, ещё где-то красят, где-то что-то доделывают , бассейн был совершенно пустой, мы купались одни и было ощущение, что это вся наша вилла, заказали рис с овощами, был вкусный и огромная порция, проживанием остались довольны, был кондиционер, вентилятор, чай, кофе, целый кулер воды, шампунь

This one has a good environment, but the location is too biased and there is nothing around. Originally, Kandy is the mountain city, eating is not convenient, The overall view of the top of the mountain is not as good as I booked before, but I can't see anything, because I went out to eat and passed by, the grand location is excellent. The room facilities are old, the roof is covered with foam, the service is not bad, the price is high, and the price is not high. Breakfast is also ordered.

The location is over the hill, it’s a little difficult to get a tuk tuk or car that is willingly to go up to the hotel from city Center, especially at night. From hotel to city Center is about 8 mins of tuk tuk ride. Otherwise the service is great, staff are really friendly, nice hilly view from the balcony, western style breakfast platter with pastries.

The best location close to the temple and to the show. The staff was very nice and help us with everything. The room is beautiful that let us feel the vibe of Sri Lanka. Recommend.

Kangti is a mountain city, and the houses are basically built on the mountain. This hotel is actually like a resort, by the river, there are no attractions and no residents next to it. The river is flowing rapidly, the flowers are fragrant, and the sound is quite lively. At night, the hotel is dark and dark, and find a small supermarket to buy something at least three kilometers away. The accommodation building seems to be three or four floors. There is a small swimming pool in the garden. Sitting on the balcony, the eyes are full of green mountain and garden views. Come out early in the morning and take a mobile phone to take a photo of 20 different flowers! The fly in the ointment is that the facilities in the room are old.
