The hotel could probably be considered modern 40 years ago... and the room was somewhat kaput (chain lock was broken) and not well-cleaned (lots of hair on the floor, bad smell from toilet bowl, moldy refrigerator...). But the double room I had was spacious and well furnished (wardrobe, tea table and chairs, desk, etc).
