The pool was disappointing for a hotel of this level – the water was warm and not very clean. The service was excellent, especially Mer at reception and Fahita in the dining room (hope I spelled her name correctly). Both were outstanding and very professional."

Another big plus is that the hotel is very close to the immigration area, which is convenient for travelers. Overall, Bundhaya Villa is a great place to stay, and I highly recommend it."

"Tide was crazily high with lots of debris and rubbish, sandbags at front door exposed so all around looked pretty untidy. Very clean room, lovely staff, no English spoken, wrong time of year for Koh Lipe, not many shops open in the street, rubbish all over the island and only a few hotels open and ready. Motorbikes/sidebars whizz up and down walking street which is narrow, so look have to look out for them constantly. Retailers not friendly as so bored without customers in Sept/Oct. Covids had a huge effect on this beautiful island, won't be coming back for a couple of years unfortunately...all looked very grim!!!"

"Summary: the hotel charged heavily for it, but didn't live up to its 5-star rating, rather a 3-star. Main reasons: Maintance not enough, everything seemed worn and in need of repair. Beds (round) were terrible, very hard and the round shape is useless for a tall person. Pillows were the worst. Pool wasn't kept clean and also not full, so not infinity , as intended and described. First few days the phone wasn't working, so didn't feel secure, in case of emergency. The style of the restaurant wasn't attractive in comparison with others on the island. Also missing spa/gym/massage offers, not in Thailand. No body lotion in the bathroom, not OK for a premium hotel. Wrong instruction for the safe. Positive: the staff, very friendly and helpful, but some seemed not trained enough for a 5-star hotel. Location and the beach was amazing. Breakfast and laundry service was good. Nice layout of the villa. Loved to have our own pool and secluded beach area."

"This bungalow-style resort by Sunset Beach is really lovely. The check-in deposit is just 100 THB. I really enjoyed the hotel's layout—it's only a five-minute walk to a 7-Eleven, which is super handy. The hotel's beach area is pretty small and often has boats around, so if you'd like to go snorkeling, I'd suggest walking about 10 minutes to the east side of the beach. For calm, beautiful turquoise water, head to the north tip of the island—it's about 30 minutes from the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The resort offers massage services, a diving club, and yoga classes. A quick note on the bungalow I stayed in: there was no hot water, quite a few mosquitoes, and the lighting was fairly dim since it's nestled among gardens and other houses. The hotel also follows an eco-friendly policy to save electricity."

"This was a nice little hotel on the quieter side of Koh Lipe. It’s a fairly energetic walk to Pattaya beach and walking st. Tuk tuks are very plentiful and cheap and they were fun to use (if a little dusty) The hotel itself is quite pleasant. The rooms are quite small and lack storage space. If you’re happy to be a little creative with how you store your luggage and clothes it’s fine. The bathroom is rather open plan (and compact) we got used to it. The view from our room was stunning so try and request one of these. The staff at the hotel are very helpful and friendly. Breakfast selection was small but enjoyable. Coffee was good and fresh orange juice. You better like eggs! Again, view from breakfast area was stunning. All in all an enjoyable stay."
