The hotel staff was really helpful as we lost our passport at a rest stop in Northern Kyoto and they helped us call the rest stop several times. In the end, we managed to retrieve our passport! Thanks for helping to communicate whilst we are unable to do so fluently in Japanese!

It is the best experience to stay in this hotel.
We like the design of room and toilet are separate into dry and wet.
Besides, it provide public hot spings at the upper floor.

The location is good within walking distance from Kyoto station. Opposite ALA there are many eateries around, and convenience shops: family mart, Lawson and 7-11 here. There is an ice cream shop next to it too. The hotel gives a very good spa vibes, clean and soothing ambience with a public bath on level 10. Only need to improve : no proper place to hang your clothes in the bathroom.

Nothing to complain! ALA is a superb hotel! Friendly staff and the location is great! Breakfast choices are great and onsen was also wonderful. Highly recommended to everyone else!

Amazing hotel stay experience! Highly strategic location with convenient access to Kyoto station. Friendly service from service staff. Top-notch cleanliness. Toiletries and other amenities are available at front desk. The gender-segregated public bath was safe and relaxing. Breakfast buffet variety was great too.
In the early morning of my second day staying here, both the hot and cold water supplies were unavailable, but the hotel management fixed the issue promptly and resumed the water supplies within a few hours' time.

We had a great stay in Ala Hotel Kyoto. It is pretty close to the Kyoto Station about 8 to 10 minutes walk away and there is a convenience store just right opposite of the hotel. Many good restaurants around and there is this particular one called Yakiniku Hiro that I highly recommend recommend. The room is of decent size for two person. I like how the shower and toilet are separated and the dressing room is outside of both. Very good services from the staff as well. The check-in was fuss free.

We enjoyed this hotel very much. Very new with a sauna and public bath. 5mins walk from Kyoto station. Plenty of good restaurants around the hotel. The room is actually quite spacious for Japanese hotel standards. Good breakfast spread with fresh matcha soft serve ice creams!!!! We highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel was not good. The receptionist was bad, and they don’t care about privacy at all. Would not recommend.
