Kyoto Gion Hotel Reviews

One of my favourite hotels during my trip! We paid SGD120 per night in December 2023 and it was great value considering the location. I didn’t realise it when we booked, but this hotel is a 10 min walk to Yasaka Shrine, which was great because we had a Kimono rental and did not have time to travel to the other shrines in Kyoto. There is also a convenience store located beside Yasaka shrine, which is great for your late night snack run. I loved the private environment of the hotel, and how the sunlight shines through the shoji windows in the morning. The hotel feels really cozy and the bed is extra comfortable and feels like a premium hotel bed. Do take note that to get to this hotel, you will need to get on a bus from Kyoto station and it is about a 15-20 mins walk from the bus stop - for your consideration if you are bringing elderly and children or heavy luggage. Although considering this, this hotel is still highly recommended by me ^^

Hotel room is small but well-equipped for a casual traveller. Heater works well in keeping the room warm from the cold weather. Hotel seemed to be lacking in manpower as reception counter was not constantly manned by at least a staff during my stay. It was also hard for me to contact the hotel (either by call or by email) for support when I have further enquiries to make regarding an item which I might have left behind in my hotel room. Would recommend the hotel for its clean rooms and well-maintained amenities but would not recommend the hotel for its service.

The toilet and shower was separated, and its one of the tinier accommodations we stayed at in Japan. Staff was professional and helpful. close to many different bus stop which is great!

Really cool places to stay. Close to Gion street and Nishiki Market.

The room is beautiful and quaint. The toilet is clean. When checking in at the counter, you always take your passport to the small room at the back to register. It's a bit strange. There is no computer at the counter, which is hard to understand.

The room is not big, but it is fully equipped with a bathtub and rain shower. It also provides a variety of skin care products, bathtubs, eye masks and earplugs. The hotel is well soundproofed and the location is very good. You can reach the scenic spots just outside.

Hahahahaha. Good customer service and patience. The hotel is clean and hygienic. Although the space is a bit small, it is still acceptable I like the fact that I can take a bath. If I’m still too tired, I can take a bubble bath to relieve fatigue. recommend

Stayed for three nights. The hotel is very good, clean, tidy, warm and lovely. Although the house is small, it is well-equipped with all the necessary care supplies and facilities, and even has an air purifier lock box. However, the open windows are sealed and cannot be seen outside. The soundproofing is excellent. Even though it is so small, you can hardly hear the sound from next door. Unlike the four-star hotel where I stayed later, the soundproofing was average. Facilities: The setting is very reasonable. It looks ordinary at first glance but you will know it after using it. There is no extra charge for mineral water. Environment: You can walk to the surrounding Nisanban and Yasaka Shrine. There are many shops around and are convenient for life. The bus stop is Gion Station. You can also walk to the bustling business district Takashimaya.

The hotel is quiet in the middle of the hustle and bustle, and the price is applicable. It's definitely not comparable to domestic hotels, but the price/performance ratio is relatively high. The only drawback is that the price changes too frequently, from more than 900 yuan to 400 yuan step by step.

The room facilities are new, the hygiene is average, the room is small, the hotel is in a good location, right outside the busy street, close to Kiyomizu Temple, it is a small hotel with high cost performance.

In addition to the price doubling on weekends, the price on weekdays is really very cost-effective, and you even feel like you are making a profit. The hotel is very cozy.

It's nice that it's close to the subway station. However, the bed is hard and uncomfortable, and the heater must be operated by an air conditioner. Overall I am satisfied.
