We loved our stay at Hotel the Mitsui. Super nice and zen design . Absolutely adore their lobby area, which I think is designed by Andre Fu. Always drawn into his work somehow. Breakfast food was okay, but the view really made up everything l. Super relaxing & beautiful Service was great. Most of them were able to speak English proficiently. There’s a thermal spring at their basement, which you have to call the reception before you go to ensure there’s enough space. Everything was well prepared, including swimwear, disposable underpants, towels, water, etc. Since they control the # of people, everyone has their own space and it still feels very private. Room is nice with many details. Love their huge selection of pillows available for guests. It’s not huge, but the space is well used. Location wise, I wouldn’t say it’s the most convenient, but if you take a cab, everything is reachable in 20 mins max, so it’s not too bad. There are still good restaurants and touristy places to go that are in walkable distance, so it’s not middle of nowhere. Overall, fantastic experience which I will recommend for others!

Wonderful stay, the design/interior is confortable, breakfast is great, service is very good. The spa was also nice with the thermal bath. We really enjoyed also the shower in the bathroom. Japanese breakfast was also nice. Overall a good experience, we had a room facing the street which was not ideal, I would recommend to book a room facing the garden or the castle.

The staffs were really helpful and kind. Breakfast was good. Parking was easy with valley parking available. We did however got complaints when kids were being kids in the room. I didn’t think the kids were making excessive noise though. Overall good, but a bit pricy.

The hotel is very pretty, Andre Fu never fails to impress! Breakfast was nice with good variety to choose from, would be great if we can have a drink menu as well. The room was a bit small for 3 ladies and the bathroom is quite transparent. Would be great if switchable smart glass is used instead for the bathroom window for privacy. Despite the minor inconvenience, the bathtub is amazing and spacious. It’s perfect for couple. The thermal spring is clean and is usually not busy. The hotel provides swim suit for guests as it is a mixed pool. The service was smooth and the environment is very relaxing. The only thing we didn’t like about the spring was that there is no natural lights as it is located in the basement. Don’t miss out on the morning breathing session! Special shoutout to the concierge team as they very efficiently helped us with restaurant and workshops recommendation and bookings prior to our arrival. Taxis were arranged promptly every time. We had a really good time in Kyoto and we can’t wait to come back again!

Hotel Mitsui is a very new and well designed property. Stylish. Catering to overseas guests. Very good breakfast. Very good gym. Using the spa though, the Japanese soaking pool, is troublesome, so we didn’t. Amenities are first class.

The most gorgeous hotel i’ve ever stayed at. it’s also an EXPERIENCE to stay at the hotel Mitsui because the used to be the residence of the Mitsui family. it was such a cool experience. from the moment you walk in to the moment you walk of out this property, you feel so welcomed and accommodated. There is welcome tea and snacks while they check you in, instead of you standing and waiting by the desk. everything just make sense and they really go above and beyond to make you feel like a valued guest. their garden and japanese breakfast is some of the most unforgettable sights i’ve seen. i love this place and highly recommend anyone to experience this once in their life.

The hotel entrance and lobby have a Christmas atmosphere. You can see Nijo Castle from the room. If you are lucky, you can see the colorful clouds. The breakfast is very exquisite. The night bed making service is very considerate. Free facial mask. It is also a high-end hotel. The mini bar is not free. It is a pity that I did not experience the spa.

The hotel's SPA is not a traditional Japanese hot spring. It is a mixed bath for men and women who need to wear swimsuits. I was a little disappointed that I didn't feel the authentic Japanese hot spring bath. The other facilities are OK and standard. The French food in the hotel is also standard and can't be said to be amazing.

The whole is the work of the world-renowned designer Andrefu. Every corner of the hotel is an exquisite design artwork. Whether it is the appearance of the building or the details, functions, and creativity, it has exceeded my expectations. A treasure hotel that is highly recommended and treasured. Facilities: Creative design, novel and unique Hygiene: Well-organized, clean and refreshing Environment: Japanese garden model combined with modern architectural design concepts carefully crafted. Service: Enthusiastic. I was very happy to help me buy the VIP ticket for the fireworks at Lake Biwa.

The room was very comfortable, but the hotel's SPA was mixed for men and women. Although swimsuits were available for rent, it was still inconvenient. In addition, I forgot to bring my credit card when I went to Japan this time. The hotel room fee had already been paid when I booked it, but other expenses such as dining could only be paid in cash or by bank card. It was not supported by Alipay and WeChat, which was inconvenient. The service staff were very warm and thoughtful, and the breakfast was good.

The hotel is very good, everything is good, but the room is a little small

The design is very good and full of details. The design is very user-friendly, and the public courtyard is beautiful and artistic. It is very bold to build a high-end hotel in the city center and give such a large area to the courtyard, but it is worth it.
