Great room, very clean and comfortable. The host is incredibly helpful and speaks perfect english. The location is ideal to easily reach all the incredible temples, shrines and zen gardens. The room feels very japanese with a warm wooden ceiling and a japanese painting. Fantastic bathroom with huge soaking tub and the rain shower was amazing.

Out of all our hotel stays in Japan, this was by far the comfiest and spacious hotel. We loved the spacious beds and living room area! Our host was super friendly and helpful as well. Bonus points for being able to communicate with us in English! The location is super close to all the mega shops and in walking distance to so many restaurants. This boutique hotel was such a gem and we would definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a great location and comfort in the heart of Kyoto.

I visited here with my boyfriend on a Golden Week trip. It was a surprise, so I didn't know about it (lol). The bathroom was on the first floor and the room was on the second floor, so the moment we got up the elevator and entered, I was excited to see the stylish furniture and cute accessories everywhere!! There was also a bouquet of flowers that my boyfriend had prepared as a proposal, and he proposed to me in such a wonderful space!! It was the first time I'd ever had such a happy day, so it became a place with great memories. I'll definitely come back to stay again!

The spacious room, the big, fluffy bed, and above all the tea room in the detached bath were wonderful and very relaxing! As it was also our honeymoon, it was perfect for a luxurious trip♪ On the other hand, it was disappointing that there was trash on the carpet, dust on the ventilation fan, and the trash can was small... The welcome cupcake was delicious, but it would have been nice if it came with a tray or something. It was a nice inn, so that bothered me even more. Everything else was good! I would definitely like to stay again if I have the opportunity.

This is my second time staying here. The owner is very kind. It was very clean and comfortable. The TV is very large, and you can watch Netflix and Amazon Prime. If you are planning to spend the whole day at the hotel and are on good terms with your partner, I think you will be able to enjoy it. Every part of the room is designed in a Japanese style, so it is a place where Japanese people and foreigners alike can relax. It's a stylish hotel. It was quiet, probably because there were only a few rooms. The receptionist was also very friendly. However, I booked a private bath, but the bathroom was not very clean, which was disappointing.
