Best stay in Kyoto. Good location and very good room with private onsen in the room. Service is the best for our stay

Hotel is well designed, clean and comfortable at premium location. Breakfast is difficult to reserve if it’s not included in the booking package. Takashimaya - department store is cross the street where you could find delicious quality foods at less than 1/2 of prices comparing to Nishiki Market or resturant. Highly recommended.

We couldn't have stayed in a more amazing hotel while in Kyoto. From the first moment we stepped in, we were greeted with hospitality. Every staff member we encountered was respectful and extremely helpful. Our room was well appointed and had more amenities than we could use. Not to mention, the private in room onsen. This was the whole reason we chose this hotel and it did not disappoint. The water was refreshing and you could really feel the healing effects. As for the meals that the hotel provides... I must say both the Japanese set and Western set breakfasts were delightful and had many options. The fresh ingredients and the diligence of the dining staff were impeccable. We felt truly valued as guests. It is safe to say that I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wishes to stay in Kyoto. We most certainly will be back!

We reserve the rooms with in-room onsen facility. The room is big and clean. Not only in-room onsen but also other room facilities are wonderful. The platform roof with beverage service is a also good place to enjoy the view of Kyoto.

My husband and I have been to Kyoto many times and stayed in various luxury hotels, but the Kyoto Bettei at the Sora-niwa Terrace this time is definitely our favorite and most satisfying one! Although the room rate is nearly 6,000 per night, it is worth the money. If it weren’t for the fact that the bed was a little too soft and not elastic enough, it would almost be a full score💯 The hotel is in an extremely advantageous location, with subways and trains nearby, small rivers and large rivers within easy reach, and beautiful scenery; The room has a private hot spring in Shijo Kawaramachi, which is extremely rare in a hotel in the city center, and the hot spring water quality is excellent. After taking a bath every day, I feel that my skin and body are in great condition; The service is first-class, the front desk guy is handsome and gentle, not only carefully and thoughtfully explaining all the details, but also recommending several particularly delicious restaurants for us (we have almost tasted them, great!) The hotel room is spacious and very comfortable, making us almost reluctant to go out... There is a warm outdoor terrace overlooking Kiyomizu Temple, a TV that can be projected, and a refrigerator full of snacks and various drinks for free... What surprised us most is that the hotel has a "secret exit" only for guests. From here, you don't need to go through the front desk and go directly to the nearby streets. Every time you walk, you feel like you are on a "Roman Holiday". I strongly recommend friends who come to Kyoto to stay here. We will definitely choose this place again next time we come.

The hotel is located in Shijo, within walking distance of Takashimaya, and there are restaurants downstairs, which is quite convenient. The room is small but comfortable, and the balcony is a plus. The bedding is extremely smooth, and the first round of the mini bar is free, which even includes alcohol. The service is excellent, and I was served on my knees when I checked in. If I have to find fault, there is a problem with the water replacement of the private soup. I don't know why it keeps running cold water; and the lobby only provides ice cream and drinks, and there is no snacks or cup noodles. It is a bit inconvenient when I am hungry in the middle of the night

The room is very good, with a private bath and balcony, you can see Kiyomizu Temple, complete facilities, and reasonable separation of dry and wet areas. The large bath is also very good, men and women switch every day, and the service attitude is also very good.
