"Sakura Terrace is only 3 mins walking from Kyoto station, there are 2 blocks seperating by the main road. There is a taxi stand next to it too.
I like the free Spa and sauna. I also enjoy the free drink offers in the evening with a variety of alcohol. . You need to be early for the breakfast else you will be stuck in the queue outside."
"The hotel facilities are a bit old. When booking a room, I didn't pay attention to the difference between random room types, which refer to smoking and non-smoking. I arrived late and stayed in a smoking room. Both of us had coughs in our throats and didn't sleep well all night. The purifier didn't work, and the smell was just smoke. Alas! However, the small bathhouse downstairs is very good, the hotel is close to the subway, and the front desk service is very good, although the room is not very satisfactory. Everyone must pay attention to choosing a non-smoking room~"
"Very good design hotel, beyond expectations, the room is very large in Japan, the design is very strong, each house is different, the color is different, and the designer is very careful and the details are in place. The service is also very good, the breakfast is very exquisite, even the mother is full of praise. Completely exceeded our expectations. Will book this next time. Good location"

"The room is very clean and has enough space. It also has a TV, a refrigerator, and a nice bathroom.
The only problem was that the day before check-in, I discovered that I had missed booking a room for the next day, so I immediately rebooked it, which meant that I would have to stay for 4 nights in total including my rebooked reservation. This was explained when we arrived at the hotel. However, on the second day after our stay, we were suddenly notified that we needed to change rooms... Checking the order (in Chinese and English) on the platform showed that we had booked the exact same room type. Unfortunately, the front desk's English was not very good. We couldn’t fully understand the more complex questions in Japanese. It ended up being replaced, which caused trouble with packing. And we made multiple reservations for the same room type (and presented the order in Chinese and English). The front desk was obviously aware of the problem (he said what was going on), but still emphasized many times that we had booked different room types, leading to a change.
Moreover, the room after the change is more spacious than the one on the first day, and the bathroom space is also larger. It is difficult not to think about whether it was a mistake on the first day or whether there was no suitable room before making another arrangement?
If there is a situation like booking separately, please confirm the room type with the hotel.
Other than that, the room was nice."
"From the entrance to the inn, I was able to have a luxurious experience in a historic townscape that was beyond my imagination. The room is clean and I am very satisfied!
In addition, when using the lounge, the hospitality of the staff was excellent, offering fragrant tea and alcohol, and we were able to have fun conversations. They gave me a lot of suggestions to make my stay in Kyoto wonderful, and it was fun! The service was excellent, with alcohol being brought to your room instead of just in the lounge. thank you."
"Hotel Material was a great value stop in our tour of Japan.
We stayed for 2 nights as a family of four and it provided everything we needed. The bunks were large and ample for even adults. The sunken king bed was unusual, but easily the largest bed I slept in in Japan and well worth the investment. The shower was also excellent with both great water pressure and was tall enough to accommodate me at 6ft without sitting, a first for me here.
The room was clean and well presented and even came with some games to occupy the kids. The staff weee helpful and happy to look after our bags before check in.
The hotel also has a lovely roof terrace available which we weren’t expecting."
"A very cost-effective hotel, very convenient to various attractions, and the price is really good for the same location and conditions! There is also a large bathhouse where you can take a dip, and the breakfast is also good. Overall, it is really an excellent hotel."
"The location is only a 6-7 minute walk from the 10th subway station, and the price is reasonable.
The hotel has a great sense of design
The 30-square-meter room I booked has obvious shortcomings. I don't know what the designer was thinking. The two doors to the bathroom are heavy. If you open them hard, the sound is loud. If you get up to go to the bathroom at night, it will disturb the people you are traveling with. We used a stool to hold the door.
So, the hotel looks good, but the interior design of the room is problematic and not practical."
"The place that left my first trip to Kyoto as a happy memory until the end
I will bring good memories with me whenever I remember Kyoto.
The well-organized and tidy feeling makes you comfortable from entering the hotel to leaving.
It blends Japan's past and present well, giving it a unique and sophisticated feel.
Hinoki bathtub and plenty of warm water
It relieved the regret of a ryokan that I had not experienced on this trip.
It is recommended that you try the breakfast you ate every morning.
The menu, which used to be Korean food, was changed to a buffet format.
The food is unusual and unique. I'm very satisfied ^^
I'm going back after getting along well with the warm consideration and help of all the staff.
(The food photo below is the Kanna Hotel Teppanyaki Hanoku dinner course, not breakfast)"
"Gorgeous hotel with a convenient location close to the core of Kyoto. It's quiet yet easily accessible to the noisier/crowded parts ie. Sanjo station or department stores. It's comfortable enough for a couple with a huge bathroom and a separate toilet area. A delicious welcome drink & snack was offered upon arrival and they have a free snack bar downstairs where the onsen & laundry area is. The onsen was very clean with amenities provided and enough lockers/ cosmetics station(hair dryer & lotions/gels). I saw a lot of tourists from different countries staying here and everyone seemed to enjoy their stay. Saw some comments about the fire station/ noise but it didn't really bother me or my husband much so I found it quite minor as everything else worked out well with my itinerary and trip plans. Greatly enjoyed our stay and hope to revisit again soon."

Excellent
MMs TCSelected Room: Harmony Suite
A very clean and spacious room with a distinctive layout that boasts ample living space for a couple or family with small children. The big bathtub and plenty of natural light coming from the large windows were the major highlights of the room.
Location: Prime location. Situated right next to Kyoto Station, it is a 1-minute walk from the hotel to the station.
Staff: All staff members were very hospitable and gave you the best support they could when attending to requests.
Gajamer was amazing! He helped us check-in and was very professional and polite in any possible way.
Meals: We did not select any meal plans for this stay.
Overall experience: A very pleasant stay, with all expectations met as shown in the photos and descriptions. Strongly recommended.

YYI HUEYThe accommodation experience in the townhouse is really authentic. The house is beautiful and very comfortable as soon as you enter the house. No matter how you take photos there, it is very interesting. We were very satisfied with the food at the hotel because we have family members who don’t eat beef. Although the hotel couldn’t do it at first, they were willing to communicate and let us choose different foods. Thank you very much!

GGuest UserRoom was spacious and clean. It's a nice hotel in great location for the price. Although one thing that could be improved is that there is no cold water fountain on the ground floor, there is only a kettle.

PPui SheungThe hotel is located near the Kyoto Station. The room size is larger than many hotels in Japan. The hotel provide free dessert and drinks after lunch hour, some snacks with beer or wine after 6pm. The breakfast is delicious and had lots of choice. During my stay, the hotel provide materials for making a tatami coaster. It is worth to stay in this hotel. I will choose this again when I come back to Kyoto.

AAiliIt is a lovely place to stay with a fancy roof top bar. The location is okay, not far away from Kiyomizu dera temple, but still several bus stops from Kyoto Station. The hotel does provide shuttle bus to Kyoto Station but only allows carry-on luggages. The breakfast from the a la carte menu is mainly omelette, so you will probably get bored of it after trying for two consecutive days. The drip coffee provided by the hotel is amazing. Overall, a good experience to stay at this hotel. The bonus goes to the skincare products they provided for free.

GGuest UserGood location and modern. 7-11 store is linked to the hotel lobby and there is security as hotel guests have to tap the room card to exit 7-11 to enter the lobby. Easy check-in as there are many staff at the check-in counters. Checking-out is a breeze as guests are able to do it by yourself at the machines. Will definitely return when in Kyoto :)

GGuest UserFirst of all, thank you to the front desk staff who check us in when we encounter error on the self check in and gave us a free upgrade… ours was the compact room or something and was at a lower level, she upgraded us to a higher floor on level 7 with a view of the train station. Thank you for making our trip in Kyoto a memorable one. The room was big with a long sofa which we can sit and have our meals, enjoy the view and even put our large luggage. Will book again next trip to Kyoto. Sorry didn’t managed to ask for your name. Throughly enjoy my stay with this hotel and it’s pretty near to aeon mall and konbini stores. Thanks again!

GGuest UserVery polite and helpful staff. The hotel and rooms were very clean. The breakfast was ok and they offered both japanese and continental options. The standard rooms on the 2nd floor had no view as there was a large wall in front of the window so i would definitely not recommend this option. The premium rooms are on higher floors and offer better view, if that is what you are going after. Overall it was a comfortable and clean place to stay for a few nights

PPOCHENGThe hotel is close to Karasuma-oike station. However, if you have a luggage, it is easier to exit by elevator from Exit 5 and cross the road to the hotel.
The rooms are clean and comfortable. Space is decent for a family of 3.
We also liked that they have a common place at the lobby where we can eat or snack. They also offer coffee, water and other amenities (toothbrush, cotton buds, face wash etc) too.

GgzsylviaThe hotel is newly opened, with a very elegant design. It continues the Banyan Tree's usual wooden elements to give people a fresh and natural feeling. The rooms are spacious. I love the wooden private bath in the room the most. The hot spring spa is amazing. The hotel provides exquisite dinner and breakfast. Walking in the hotel's small garden in the morning and looking at the dense bamboo forest is very healing. The staff is warm and thoughtful, polite and meticulous, and the ceiling level
