We had an overnight stay during our visit to Yorkshire and Peak District area. The reason that we chose this hotel is because it had 3 people rooms and it was part of the Accor All program. While being a budget hotel and providing rooms for three people to share, the rooms are very small and quite uncomfortable. If you want a budget short-stay, it is an option but I'm sure you can find more comfortable stays at a premier inn. Location wise, it was at ok distance to city centre however parking was hard to find and overnight parking expensive. HINT: Use the NCP parking nearby and the hotel can provide a validation that will give you a discount of 11£ (still I paid 9£). Here are some details: Welcome: The staff were helpful and attentive. However, there was no recognition of Accor All program status. They didn't provide any welcome drinks and no room upgrades could be offered since it is a standard room hotel. Rooms: The beds are comfortable but everything apart from that is uncomfortable. For three people rooms, the hotel has bunk beds which is hard to climb. There is nowhere to move in the room. The toilet is just a small cabin where you have no place to move and there is no bathroom, just a shower in the middle of the room. The sinks are in the room. Anything more than 1 night would be impossible for us. Hotel: It is an aged building and it is obvious at every corner. The elevators are smelly. The reception area is not inviting. Location: The hotel is central and a short walk to Leeds city centre. However, there is no free parking around. Park at NCP car park and the hotel will provide an 11£ discount voucher. Breakfast: They provide a basic breakfast with some cold food and sausage/bacon options. No eggs. The coffee wasn't great. It was affordable (6£ per person) but it is nothing notable. Staff: Very friendly and helpful. They helped us to find some extra pillows at night when we found out that only 1 was provided even though there was a special request for extra pillows in our reservation. Overall, I would not want to stay here again even though it provides all the necessities. This is mainly because the rooms were very small and claustrophobic and the hotel was quite aged. Apart from that, if you are looking for a good-value stay near Leeds, it could be an option.

Got a Groupon deal at only £79 for a double en-suite with breakfast and a bottle of Prosecco. The reception staff were very helpful and even got a free upgrade with a nicer room including soft drinks and 2 Kit Kats with great views overlooking the canal and late check out too. We parked nearby at Leeds dock about 10 minutes walk away as we have done before at a reduced rate of £8 for 24 hours. Nice modern hotel in a great location with free quick wifi and close to Leeds city centre with a couple of bars on the doorstep.

Hotel is very nice, however there were some significant issues with this stay. I booked a king room yet it had two single beds, the coffee machine in the lobby was broken and there was a fire alarm at 2am! Everyone in the hotel was out in the street for an hour and it really disrupted my sleep and working day.

Despite a nice welcome and the Leeds city centre location of the Discovery Inn this accommodation was disappointing in almost all aspects of my stay. The Inn does not have a bar or restaurant (serves continental breakfast in the lobby only at extra cost). On the way to the room I noticed the old and stained carpets and tired paintwork, the lift had a disgusting smell during the whole stay. The room I was allocated did not have a view of the outside, it had frosted glass on both windows which did not open beyond a letterbox gap, so you had no idea if it was raining or not for example (the hotel should inform guests of this). The room and bathroom had decorative order issues in this case a massive hole in the wall and many places mildew and stains in the bathroom. The television was so small it was hard to watch though the Wi-FI was very good however do not expect air conditioning or a fan. The room benefited from one hard wooden chair in front of small impractical desk space. The compact corridor-like bathroom was very dated in terms of décor, required a good clean and the noise from the extractor fan was annoying.

The booking and check in service was easy to follow which was a relief. I found this hotel to be clean and presentable throughout. The room was clean, relatively spacious and a lovely working shower. The staff in this hotel went the extra mile to make my stay as comfortable as possible. Every staff member I approached was friendly and helpful. An quality experience in a value hotel.

Great location in the Moto services on a roundabout that leads to York, Wetherby and the A1M. Really convenient for going out. Loads of parking, although would be better if there was a dedicated area for hotel guests as the bit nearest the hotel seems to be where everyone wants to park, particularly vans. Basic budget hotel with tea and coffee facilities in the room, a TV and a shower room. Would have said it was clean until I found a babies dummy under the bed on the last morning of our 3-night stay. Odd numbered rooms face the car park. On the ground floor rooms from 021 to 037 overlook the grass between hotel and car park where people stand to smoke and everyone takes their dog to do its business. Got a bit annoying when people stood almost against our window even when it was open. Closed window pretty good at keeping out the noise day and night. Additional door in the corridor just before room 021 also cut down on the early morning shouting of people leaving their rooms. Room surprisingly quiet. Did have one issue but it was sorted out pretty swiftly by management with no argument, so can't fault them on service. Breakfast is available for £7 but not much variety. Some cereals, yogurt, fruit, cheese and bread/cakes. Greggs next door much cheaper.

I want to say how wonderful my stay was at Holiday Inn. The room was fabulous. Amazing facilities. A shout out to Anthony one of the night staff who had such a welcoming smile at all hours and down to earth attitude. Also to Hannah who was so helpful regarding transport services both should be extremely proud of themselves. Thank you so much

We arrived on Saturday 1st of October around 2pm having driven up from Birmingham. We checked in ( having booked a superior room) which apparently entitled us to a free coffee, a bottle of water and a free biscuit during our stay. Upon arrival we asked if we could eat in the restaurant as we were hungry. We were told it was shut, then it was open, then it was shut, nobody seemed to actually know. We wandered in and were seated and told by someone ( who I think must have been their first day) that MAYBE we could eat. It was getting a little ridiculous by now. YES, indeed we could eat. Great. He came back to take our order having not given us a menu. Eventually someone else who seemed a little more clued up gave us scruffy photocopies of about the five dishes we could choose from, when i mentioned the menu I had seen in reception seemed a little more varied he replied in a pleasant but not even vaguely apologetic manner ” oh yes we haven't got a proper chef in so we have a very limited menu”. Hmm, right, so we ordered a pizza and some fries to share with a couple of soft drinks. In fairness we didn't have to wait too long and it was tasty enough and filled a hole. We then negotiated a long queue in reception to get the lift up to our room. EXCEPT WE COULDN'T. Because the door TO the lift would not open with the key card we had. Neither would it open for the receptionist with HER key.. she then got us another which got us through the door to the lift, lift safely deposited us on our floor, we got to our room, only to find our key wouldn't open our door. Our door to our ”superior” room. Great. Except it wasn't because now my other half had to go down back to the reception and explain this, a task not made any easier by what seemed, on first glance, to be half of Spain populating the reception area. Never mind, no matter, so now he has to run up seven flights of stairs to get back to our room because he couldn't get into the lift. Ok, right, so NOW we are into our room, which did not turn out to be in any way superior and exactly what you would expect in any budget hotel and not even as spacious. It had all the basics, just soap and shower gel in dispensers ( not very superior) it was clean and the bed was comfortable. The tv was a night mare to negotiate and one of the lights did not work. No matter, we only changed and slept in the room. All in all the visit was pretty much comedy and, while we didn't pay a fortune for it things that work ( like room keys) and people who knew what was open or shut ( like restaurants and menu details) MAY have been nice. I knew we should have done Premier Inn for less because the Jury's DEFFO in on this, and we found it guilty on several counts. Shame.

Excellent
GGuest UserMy husband and I stayed as part of a conference with over 300 people in attendance. We had a very large room which was obviously set up for 4. Two very large king sized beds pushed together meant that whilst we could have a bed each if we wished to sleep as usual my husband had to climb into bed from the bottom! We stayed Friday through to Sunday afternoon and ate in the restaurant friday night. It was relatively busy but we had a lovely meal, the cocktails were lovely and the staff attentive and we happily paid the service charge and a tip on a bill over £70. As a result of our experience on the Friday night we attended the restaurant again Saturday night. It was awful, we had to find a member of staff to take our order, a member of staff to order our dessert, and we had to find a member of staff to pay the bill - we nearly left without paying the wait was so long! When we did get the bill a service charge had been added - we refused to pay this element as we had been given no service! On Sunday afternoon as the conference ( which was in the hotel ballroom) finished at 2pm and we did not need to be at the airport until after 6pm we thought we would see if we could get something to eat in the restaurant. Disappointingly a vegetarian colleague could not get the simple cheese and tomato sandwich he wanted as the only food the chefs were willing ( or able?) To prepare was what was on the menu ! We left and ate elsewhere so he could be accommodated. The hotel is very disabled friendly with access to all bar one room without the need to use lifts ( although we are now intimately acquainted with the service lift!) The staff in the hotel were all friendly and approachable. ( Even when refusing service!)
GGuest UserMy daughter and I spend one weekend every December Christmas shopping, ‘cocktailing’, and eating in Leeds. We choose a different hotel every year in the city to use as our base. This year we chose Quebec’s and now we know we cannot go anywhere else in the future because this hotel easily tops everywhere we have stayed in the past eight years ( including the Hiltons and Plazas)! The building itself is rich in history which is lovingly preserved by the owners for us to enjoy. Rich oak panelling and stained glass windows make this such a unique hotel. The room was beautifully appointed with mini bar, coffee machine etc. The products in the bathroom are first class and the beds are superbly comfortable but best of all despite a ‘full house’ the hotel was so quiet. The staff are unbelievably friendly and we honestly felt, despite the five star ‘feel’ of the hotel, part of the family as the weekend came to an end. Their style of making us feel welcome was wonderful. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel, it is quirky without any halt on style all glamour, it is a superbly romantic hotel and ideally located for central Leeds shopping and right in front of the station.
GGuest UserI booked to stay here last minute rather than getting a late train back home after meeting friends for dinner. It ended up being on the day that the Queen passed away so it's a hotel that I'll remember for a long time! - great value for money - think I paid £83 for the night including breakfast - hotel (including the room I stayed in) was very clean - room had everything I needed for a comfortable stay - amazing location (close to the train station and the city centre) Teeny tiny negative: - breakfast room service option was limited to bacon / sausage sandwiches (however I left a note on the order card cheekily asking for a chocolate croissant - which wasn't an option - and they very kindly sent one up with my veggie sausage sandwich!) As a Mum to a 10 month old, I'm usually up at 6.30am - so a chocolate croissant in bed at 9am was an absolute treat! It's the little things as they say - and definitely warrants a 5/5 review!
GGuest UserStayed here 8 times this year & have booked for another 2 nights this month. Stayed on most floors & different room types. Some of the rooms are looking tired & our last 2 different stays in May the air conditioning wasn’t working in some of the rooms. Hopefully they have sorted it when we arrive in 2 weeks. Hampton Inn Leeds is one of our favourite hotels in Leeds. Great location less than 5 minute walk to Victoria Gate shopping centre, large secure parking spaces great choice of breakfast items, friendly staff.
GGuest UserRecently stay here. And with it being a Britannia my expectations weren’t high. But I’ve got to say what a great experience. James the manager went above and beyond to make our stay an enjoyable one. I went to tell him myself the next day. However when I asked a member of staff where he was she said he was unavailable as he was at their sister hotel which he also runs. What a hero!
GGuest UserAnother lovely stay at the Crowne Plaza in Leeds. Always a warm welcome, rooms are well serviced and comfortable, and being on the edge of town, the location is much quieter but only a ten minute walk into the city centre and railway station. Staff are always cheerful and happy to help, check-in and check-out is always efficient and swift. Excellent on site car park. Breakfast is always a delight and the cooked to order omelettes are amazing! Tina and Gigi (and all of the other restaurant staff) go out of their way to make sure you have everything needed for a good start to the day. Overall, just a lovely hotel with lovely staff. Just what's needed when working away from home and definitely worthy of 4 stars.
GGuest UserThe room I stayed with my friends is lovely and the staff are extremely helpful and have gone above and beyond. We could ask for any more and this will be the place we will stay in on future trips to Leeds. Thank you to staff for making the experience the best!
WWhiteJohnThis was definitely a mixed visit. On arrival we were checked in quite quickly receptionist was firmly enough although the reception desk itself seemed more like an information hub then a check in desk so the initial walk in was a bit confusing for me and my partner who don't stay in many hotels.. the one main thing that I noticed in the reception area is just through a set of double doors towards what would seem to be a fitness studio with an overlook of the pool had a chair with quite a nasty looking stain picture included. On arrival into the room things seemed clean tidy and presentable although there were a couple of things that could have been better for example one normal sized towel and 3 hand towels wasn't great and 2 towels would have been better, the toilet roll was very basic and clearly the cheaper stuff which you wouldn't so much expect when staying at a village hotel, there was a tile missing on the bathroom floor with a questionable amount of dust and dirt inside and around this hole and finally the doorframe seemed to be hanging off pictures of this are included. We had a look at the restraunt menu and it's safe to day if you don't fancy a burger, salad or chicken wings you will have to make other arrangements as we did by visiting the local residence 74 cafe about a mile away where we had a lovely time great food and a reasonable meal price. The bar is quite an open space and at first a bit confusing as there are some cinema chairs and big tvs but only playing the news. We had a drink I'm the evening this was probably priced for the venue but at £15 for a single vodka and lemonade and a double whisky we decided on only one when we found out that the bar closed for residents at 11pm which we found a bit early as other places stay open for residents. Room service would have been an option but from what I read this finished at 9.30pm and the is no in room phone to order such. Sleep was comfortable and sheets were clean it was just very hot as the window barely opens, there was no fan provided and no aircon. The TV also says its an Internet TV but upon attempt of connection no services were available. This morning the hotel seemed alot calmer and relaxed, we weren't sure of the breakfast procedures at all so we just sat down and were asked our room number but my partner got quite frustrated as she is autistic and no clear instructions were given it took us a while to source out breakfast and when we did we noticed it was very limited consisting of mushroom scrambled egg starnge potato circles beans tomatoes sausage and bacon. Honestly for me hash Brown's and black pudding are staples of English breakfast and should always be included when possible but unfortunately they were unavailable. I was going to ask a staff member but only one was seen briefly. There was also a High table next to us that was very dirty and when the staff member went to clean she simply sprayed it didn't wipe it and moved on, this didn't seem very hygienic. Breakfast was very average the addition of streaky bacon and chipolata sausages as opposed to tradition thick sausages and back bacon seemed very odd and definitely not our cup of tea! Coffee was not good atall however they do have a starbucks with is great because we do enjoy it. The night receptionist seemed to keeping a very close on me without speaking I found this quite lntimidating as a hotel guest and would have preferred him to ask me any concerns he had other than staring at me until I awkwardly said hello in which he just smiled and looked away briefly until I did then followed me with his eyes towards the stairs and no doubt watched me on camera until I entered my room. Overall a fair experience perfect I guess if you just need a quick room and have to extra money to burn but not ideal for us so probably wouldn't return.
HHollandI have stayed at the hotel so long it's clear that it feels like home and I can honestly they they don't go less than above and beyond to help you feel at ease and at home I have not one complaint to make other than, can't you just let me live there guys xx 🥰
Helen on the desk is one of the loveliest people you'll probably encounter and if there's an issue they try their best to deal with it in a favourable manner so that you don't feel awkward or embarrassed, well once they know you better, you'll have to remember how many people they all deal with minute by minute and they aren't all reasonable, understanding or rationale but they all seem to keep their cool and keep a light humour to the situation which is lovely xx
GGuest UserHad such an amazing experience was meeting family I'd not seen in ages so that in its self was exciting for me. Then was served by Macey in the bar area who joined us for a chat and was just such a pleasant girl who was so welcoming and just gave us amazing service throughout the evening. All the staff were friendly and very attentive GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! ***** The hotel is of a high cleanliy standard and the room smelt lush dont know what it was. This is definitely a place I would recommend and will definitely return. Thanks to all the team.
