Hotels in Inside Dayan Ancient Town, Lijiang

This hotel is located inside the oldtown. All the main attractions are within 15 minutes of walking distance. The room is spacious and clean. Cassie is helpful in recommending restaurants, day trips, souvenirs but there is no force selling. The whole place is nicely setup to provide a zen feel. We stayed in 2 rooms for there 4 nights and the hotel provided free from/to train station transport. I will definitely stay here if I ever visit Lijiang again.

This place is definitely the best option for you! The owner is incredibly kind and helpful. They’ll assist you in planning your trip and even help with booking tickets. Not only do they serve breakfast, but Laoban also prepares lunch and dinner for guests—and after each meal, you’re offered tea or coffee. he does this because he genuinely wants to see his guests happy and to have good memories. The atmosphere is very friendly, making it easy to meet new people from all over the world. They even take guests to nice bars at night! The price is very affordable, and the rooms are clean and fully equipped with everything you need. If you ever have a problem, Laoban will be there to help, anytime. I’ll definitely be coming back again!

The host is very friendly and welcoming. She gave us recommendations on attractions and restaurants. She invited us to join go shopping in zhongyi market upon arrival and also offered us some food and tea in the next afternoon. However, we were about to leave for the 3.5 hours evening train, so the host offered to pack them in the plastic bags for us. The food really saved us because our train to Kunming was delayed to over 5 hours due to earthquake in Dali. The room is big and clean. Hot water works well. The whole guesthouse has an ancient style, which give us a sense of being in the Lijiang Old Town. The guesthouse also has two super adorable cats and some fish in the garden. Overall, I really like the environment, especially the peaceful vibe. The location of the hotel is a few minutes walk from the road (the whole ancient town does not allowed car or shared bike to get in). The guesthouse is located at the end of the small alley making it very peaceful. There also many restaurants nearby, especially, breakfast.

It’s a small cosy bed and breakfast with the cutest and most attentive hosts. I was upgraded to a bigger room with a window and two floors. Heated blanket is provided but I didn’t have to use it as the room was already toasty warm just with the heater. The toilet has a bidet, just the perfect addition. The host is extremely attentive and helpful, always asking if I need any tea or snacks whenever they see me. I also got help from the hotel in securing my day tour at jade dragon snow mountain. The host also packed some food for my mountain day trip, and when I came back, offered some ginger tea and snacks. I was so touched as I was completely exhausted and extremely hungry! Everyone at the hotel was so nice and attentive it made for a very comfortable stay. Oh yes, and don’t have to worry if you don’t know much Chinese as they are able to speak English as well! The location is very convenient, right next to Mu’s mansion. So even if i just wonder around or if my phone map doesn’t work, i just followed directions to mu’s mansion and found the hotel very easily. Overall I was very happy with my stay here. Thank you!!

Amazing location, literally in the middle of the ancient town! The hotel is very beautiful, the room is great and the bed very very comfortable with perfect sheets and blankets, almost like at home. The staff helped me with pick up/drop off of my luggage from/to the carpool point, which I appreciate it as the ancient town is a labyrinth on your own to navigate. I wish there was breakfast, but that's the only downside. Also avoid the bakery right in front of the hotel because yes the coffee is very good but 1 pastry and 1 latte is 50 CNY which is very overpriced in my opinion. Enjoy your trip, you won't regret it. Ps: to the staff I would also like to suggest that it would be better to avoid watering the tables and the chairs outside while watering the plants, because otherwise there are no places to sit and chill outside :)

I booked this hotel simply because I love their vintage vibe. Their location is inside the old town, just walk about 300 meters from the front gate, don't worry about the baggages, they offer to pick it up, just tell the owner ahead when you'll be arrive. The bedroom size not too spacious since we have 3 big baggages so it is quite cramped. Their amenities are standard, the toilet has heated seat but the bidet is not working. I wish they also have heated blanket tho. What I want to highlight is the lady boss really really kind and helpful. Once we arrive, she recommend places to go in LiJiang and restaurants, even help us booked tour for JDSM also where to go for taking Hanfu pictures without getting ripped off. When we got sick, she really took care of us, and you don't need to worry if you need anything, just come down stair and ask her. It was a bit pitty we didn't spent much time in LiJiang, otherwise I'll definitely come back again. Thank You 🫶

The location was excellent, and the surrounding area was beautiful. The room itself felt a bit old and outdated. While there was a convenient pickup service from the south side of the old town for check-in, there was no similar assistance provided for check-out. This is worth noting, as the bumpy road conditions can make it difficult to manage luggage on your own. The staff was not very helpful when I asked about hiking information for Tiger Leaping Gorge. The manager didn’t seem to be very familiar with the hiking routes, which was disappointing. The problem was the manager’s attitude—he repeatedly made jokes at the Korean culture while claiming Chinese culture to be superior. Although he insisted he was joking, the remarks were not funny and came off as disrespectful and unpleasant. It gave the impression of cultural insensitivity, if not outright bias. The dog at the gate was cute.

Last minute booking but this hotel i will give 5 star because near attraction location at old town lijiang and the hotel very unique.. all attraction location only 5 minutes walk from this hotel. Cleanest hotel all good and this hotel provide bathtub good for my kids to stay in hotel room..

I saw it on Ctrip after we all got off the plane. When we got to the place where we were staying, we were sure to stay here. The boss showed us the available rooms on the 2nd and 1st floors. I finally decided to choose the room on the 1st floor considering There are no stairs to climb on the first floor, and there is a massage chair, which is just right for my mother. Living here is much quieter than those in the center of the ancient town. It’s nice to come back and have a rest after being tired from shopping. You can also sit and make tea in the public area outside when you are free. , eating fruits and chatting with friends from all over the world. It was very pleasant. The boss was also very nice. He recommended places to eat and play.

Great accommodation experience! The B&B is in an excellent location, just 20 meters away from the inn. It is very convenient to take a taxi to the surrounding business district and scenic spots, and the driver picks up and drops off. The room is very clean, the supplies are neat and new, and the details are carefully considered. The boss and staff are warm and thoughtful. Not only do they patiently answer various questions, but they also provide travel guides. The stay experience is perfect, and I will choose here next time!
