The rooms were spotless, and all the basic amenities were provided. The owner was incredibly welcoming, and there's free parking in the courtyard, making it perfect for those with a car. Overall, a fantastic stay, I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in Lijiang!"

It's located right on the edge of the old town, with its south gate opening onto the main road and the north gate leading directly into Lijiang Ancient Town. The location is truly exceptional. The stay itself was fantastic too – clean and tidy. The hotel manager even provided timely advice based on the weather to ensure the most comfortable experience. After checking out, I accidentally left a white top behind, and the manager promptly contacted me to arrange its return. I'm so grateful! I'll definitely be staying here again on my next visit."

"I heard this hotel was built by the municipal government, so the service was really perfunctory. It felt like they were taking advantage of guests because it's a big establishment. The room was also quite old and rundown. We were three people staying in a quadruple room, and the price included four breakfasts. On our last day, when we asked for one extra breakfast to go, they refused. The staff even claimed breakfast was complimentary, which we didn't believe – it was clearly included in the room rate! Unlike other hotels, the overall experience felt very disingenuous."

"The location of Shannian Hotel is absolutely superb, right next to Lijiang Old Town. It’s only a 5-10 minute walk from the main city road, so lugging suitcases isn't too much of a pain. Plus, the hotel has its own parking, which is very convenient for those driving. It's also near Amand. The butler proactively helped us with our luggage, and the service was very attentive. The hotel is nestled halfway up the mountain, and our room's window faced Jade Dragon Snow Mountain directly. On a clear day, sipping a drink in the room while watching the sunset over the snowy peaks was incredibly therapeutic. It's about a 15-minute walk to the bustling Sifang Street, and you get to wander through the old town and browse small shops along the way – the pace is just perfect. I have to give a special shout-out to the butler team here; they are genuine and warm Naxi people who made us feel truly welcome. The butler even gave my son a small couplet written in Dongba script, which he loved – it was such a thoughtful and personal gift. The breakfast selection is a bit simple and could be improved, but the free freshly ground coffee in the morning was a pleasant surprise; the beans were excellent quality. My only minor suggestion would be to have the coffee available for the entire breakfast duration (which starts at 8 AM), as many people like to have coffee with their meal. Overall, it's about a 30-40 minute drive from the airport, and spending three days and two nights here to relax and unwind was far more enjoyable than visiting many popular destinations. It's definitely a place I'd love to return to."

The sun-drenched, sun-drenched wooden Naxi courtyard, adorned with succulents, instantly soothes the soul upon entering. The owner's hospitality is impeccable; he personally serves Pu'er tea and thoughtfully hand-draws a map of the Old Town's culinary delights. The rooms are rustic and cozy, with soft bedding and underfloor heating making the highland nights exceptionally warm. The most delightful surprise is the view of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain's snow-capped peaks from the window; waking to birdsong in the morning, I felt as if I had stepped into a painting. After a day's stay, sharing my travel stories, I felt a pang of reluctance to leave. This place is more than just an inn; it feels like home on a journey. Next time I'm in Lijiang, I'll definitely push open that familiar wooden door again."

Plus, there's a lovely afternoon tea served daily, which was a very sweet touch. 🥰 The view from our room was absolutely breathtaking. I could see the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain the moment I looked up, with layers of clouds swirling around the snow-capped peaks. Below, the lush fields and clear water created a beautiful tableau. We could enjoy this stunning natural landscape without even leaving our room. The room itself was spotlessly clean, and the amenities were refined and complete, making for a very comfortable stay. The staff provided warm and attentive service, taking great care of our entire family throughout our trip. Celebrating my birthday at the foot of the snow mountain, surrounded by beautiful scenery and supported by such thoughtful service, created an incredibly atmospheric and memorable experience. This high-quality accommodation made our birthday trip extra special and truly complete.
