My first trip to Lijiang. I chose this hotel on Trip.com, drawn in by the design aesthetic in the photos, and of course, the afternoon tea, free airport transfers, projector, and especially the laundry service (so convenient when traveling). I initially planned to try it out for one night, and to my surprise, I was extremely satisfied. We had communicated the drop-off point in the old town the day before. The location is just right â not too far from the entrance and close to Sifang Street. The owner and staff are all young, exuding enthusiasm with a touch of politeness, maintaining good professional boundaries. The rooms are standard but very clean. Since I was taking it one day at a time, I ended up staying for three nights, changing rooms three times (next time, I'll book without hesitation). I highly recommend the rooms with ancient town views. Whether in the room or the common areas, it's very comfortable to just relax. I only realized I'd taken the key card when I got to the airport. I guess I'll return it to the owner on my next visit.

Guest UserThis B&B boasts an excellent location. Waking up and opening the door, you're greeted with panoramic views of the snow-capped mountains and the ancient town. Even the toiletries and tissues in the room are brand-name. Staying here means you can save on visiting other scenic cafes, as the B&B has its own coffee area, and the barista makes excellent coffee. What's more, the staff are all very warm and helpful; they assisted with luggage and offered many thoughtful tips, which put me completely at ease.

Pauline's was easily one of the best hotels we stayed at during our trip to Yunnan. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. The hotel manager was incredibly attentive and thoughtful throughout our stay. When we had an early morning trip planned to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain (Yulong Mountain), they even arranged a takeaway breakfast for us so we wouldn't miss out on our meal.
The hotel is located in the charming Yuhu Village, which turned out to be one of our favorite places in the region. Since the village has controlled vehicle access between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m., the hotel helped coordinate our license plate registration with the gatekeepers, making arrival completely hassle-free.
Yuhu Village itself is a destination worth experiencing. Horses and cars share the same narrow streets, giving the village a unique and authentic atmosphere. The village is filled with locally owned cafés, bakeries, and restaurants. One local restaurant we visited served vegetables and free-range chicken grown and raised by the owners themselves, making the meals feel especially fresh and authentic. We also loved the croissants from a nearby bakery and the burgers from a café down the road. The mountain views from many of these spots were simply beautiful.
The food at Pauline's was another highlight and never disappointed. We ended up having dinner there several times during our stay, enjoying both local dishes and Western options. Breakfast was hearty and satisfying, typically consisting of freshly prepared noodles or wontons accompanied by a selection of side dishes. Nighttime desserts were also provided and something to look forward to. Everything was well made and provided a great start/end to the day.
Because we were staying for an extended period, the hotel also arranged complimentary pickup and drop-off services from the train station, which was greatly appreciated. Compared to the more famous old towns, Yuhu felt cooler, quieter, and far less crowded. Didi rides were easy to arrange, although food deliveries could take a little longer due to the location. That said, we never felt the need to leave the village as it had everything we needed.
The rooms and facilities were modern, comfortable, and beautifully designedâevery corner felt photo-worthy. We happened to visit during the rainy season, which was both a blessing and a curse. While the clouds and mist often obscured the mountain views, they also created a magical atmosphere and meant significantly fewer crowds.
Overall, Pauline's offers a perfect combination of warm hospitality, stylish accommodations, excellent food, and an unforgettable village experience. We would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a more authentic and peaceful alternative to the busier tourist areas around Lijiang.

Traveling to Lijiang with my child this summer, I chose to stay at Le Mansong and was pleasantly surprised throughout our trip. It's perfect for self-driving, with convenient parking available, saving us the hassle of searching for a spot around the Old Town.
The guesthouse's courtyard is elegant, and the large waterwheel inside is a unique feature â great for Instagrammable photos. The room amenities were impressive, including a Dyson hairdryer and a Dyson humidifier, which really elevated the quality of our stay. The spacious courtyard allowed my child to play freely while the adults could relax in peace. It's a tranquil oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the Old Town.
Overall, the living experience was excellent, suitable for both family trips and road travelers. I highly recommend this guesthouse for anyone visiting Lijiang; I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit.

Choosing JĂčshĂš B&B for my Lijiang trip was absolutely worth it! The location is perfect â quiet yet close to the action, just a few minutes' walk to the Big Water Wheel in the Old Town, making getting around super convenient. The courtyard is lush with greenery, and the wooden style is elegant and cozy. The room was great too! Plus, there was a dedicated butler who helped with luggage, made sachets, and was really enthusiastic. He even offered to take us on a tour of the ancient town! It happened to rain during my stay, and listening to the rain at the downstairs bar in the evening while enjoying the complimentary sweet soup from the B&B was incredibly comfortable and created such a wonderful atmosphere. The value for money is outstanding. It's also right next to the entrance of Black Dragon Pool Park, and you can see Jade Dragon Snow Mountain not far away â it's just so ideal for a stay! I'll definitely book here again on my next visit!

Guest UserI really have to praise the Lijiang Yunman Mushan Snow Inn, it was the biggest surprise of my trip to Lijiang! The location is just perfect â you can walk to explore all the streets and alleys of the Old Town. It's quiet yet central; the courtyard is incredibly peaceful at night, completely undisturbed by street noise. The overall design is an elegant Song-style courtyard, adorned with greenery and flowers. The play of light and shadow in the courtyard corridors is beautiful, making every casual photo feel like a professional shot. You absolutely *must* visit the rooftop panoramic terrace! During the day, you can gaze at Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, and in the evening, overlook the twinkling lights of the Old Town. Just sitting there feels incredibly therapeutic. The rooms are neat and dry, the bedding is comfortable, and the facilities are complete, showing great attention to detail. The staff's service is just right â friendly but not intrusive, and they patiently share local food recommendations and travel tips.
The inn also has its own leisure and entertainment area, so you can relax without even leaving the premises. I genuinely recommend it to anyone visiting Lijiang for a holiday; the experience is top-notch! It's already on my list for a return stay next time I'm in Lijiang!

Guest UserStepping out, the snow-capped mountains loom majestically over the garden. In the morning, they're shrouded in mist, transforming into a rose gold spectacle by evening â a truly enchanting and therapeutic view. The room's window frames act like a living painting, allowing you to watch the clouds drift by from the comfort of your bed. The service is incredibly attentive, from hot milk delivered late at night to sharing secret photo spots. The most heartwarming touches were the Bernese Mountain dog bringing my slippers and the cat curling up on my lap for a nap, making it feel like a home nestled in the forest. When I left, the dog even walked me to the car. I've already made plans to return. đïžđŸ

I appreciated the convenient location and service, but the misleading tour arrangements, unexpected extra charges, and poor coordination made my overall stay frustrating and disappointing.
Location: The hotel is in the southern part of the Old Town, which has fewer crowds than other areas. Itâs quieter, still beautiful, and easily accessible.
Service: The hotel offers one complimentary train/airport pickup if arranged in advance (for 3 night stay). The staff helped carry my luggage from the South Gate (cars canât enter the Old Town) and provided welcome fruit upon request. Breakfast was as described, though the noodles were undercooked. The staff were responsive and helped me book tickets, including a trip to Jade Dragon Snow Mountainâbut this is where things went wrong.
Initially, the hotel staff quoted me a reasonable price that matched my research and said the schedule was flexible, I could spend as much time as I like. When I went to book, they suddenly told me I needed to pay about 200 RMB more because I was a foreignerâsomething I knew wasnât true from my experience in other cities. They also said lunch was mandatory. I was short on time and wanted convenience, so I accepted the extra charges.
Although I was told that jackets, oxygen bottles, and water would be provided, the driver took me and other Chinese tourists to a store to buy additional oxygen and energy drinks at four times the normal price. There I was told the âfreeâ oxygen bottle was too smallâinformation the hotel hadnât mentioned. I bought one just in case but never needed it.
I booked a sunrise tour with a 5 a.m. pickup, but we didnât actually see sunrise at the mountainâpartly due to weather, partly because the schedule wasnât designed for it. The driver took me to Blue Moon Lake first, then the cable car, and the Impression of Lijiang show last. He kept saying I was short on time, so I needed to buy an additional ticket for battery car to get around and rushed through Blue Moon Lake without knowing how long the walk should take, only to end up waiting an hour at the cable car.
After the show, we were taken to lunch, which had no menuâjust a very basic hot pot shared with random strangers seated at the same table. The driver texted me to hurry up because other passengers were waiting and even told me that they didnât pay for lunch because they knew it wasnât good. That upset me even more. Overall, I felt rushed, overcharged, and misled, and the whole experience made the trip far less enjoyable.
Amenities: The amenities were as described, but there was no daily housekeeping or towel replacement.

Guest UserThis hotel's location is absolutely unbeatable! Situated right near Baisha Ancient Town and at the foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, it boasts a prime, front-row view of the mountain. With unspoiled agricultural land in front, the panoramic views are completely unobstructed. You can soak in the majestic snow-capped peaks right from your room, and even witness the breathtaking 'Golden Mountain in the Sunlight' spectacle from your bed. The ambiance and viewing experience were incredible, making this the most delightful stay of our Lijiang trip.
The service was incredibly thoughtful and attentive. As we stayed for two nights, the hotel kindly arranged airport transfers, making everything seamless and stress-free. They also provided daily shuttle service to and from Baisha Ancient Town, which was super convenient for exploring and saved us the hassle of driving or finding taxis. Beyond that, the hotel offered immersive Naxi cultural experiences like tea pressing and 'Jiama' woodblock printing, which allowed us to truly delve into local customs and added so much richness and fun to our journey.
The staff were consistently warm and attentive throughout our stay. They greeted us cheerfully, patiently recommended local specialty foods and off-the-beaten-path routes, and all their suggestions were incredibly useful. During downtime, they'd even invite guests to gather downstairs for tea and a chat. Their genuine and heartfelt approach made us feel completely at ease and welcome, as if we were visiting our own backyard. Their meticulous care and concern were evident in every interaction, truly making us feel at home.
The guest rooms were spacious, and the amenities were comprehensive and well-equipped with everything you could need, ensuring a very comfortable stay. The combination of the unparalleled scenic views and outstanding soft and hard services far exceeded our expectations. Whether you're looking for a relaxing vacation or an immersive Lijiang experience, I highly recommend it. This will definitely be my top choice for accommodation on my next visit to Lijiang!
