Setting up my home at the foot of the snowy mountains, living amidst the scenery – this hotel fulfilled all my fantasies for a snow mountain getaway. Opening the window, I was greeted by majestic snow-capped peaks, wreathed in clouds, like a fairyland. In the morning, I witnessed the golden glow of the sunrise on the mountains; in the evening, I quietly admired the sunset painting the snow. At night, I gazed up at the brilliant starry sky – every moment was so beautiful it left me speechless. The room had a wonderful texture, with warm-toned design elements incorporating Naxi style, making it both cozy and luxurious. The private hot spring tub melted away all my fatigue. The staff were gentle and enthusiastic, with meticulous service. Every day here felt slow and peaceful, accompanied by the snow mountains, healing and wonderful. It's definitely worth countless return visits!

Second stay at Qieman, this time with family. If you're going to Lugu Lake, I highly recommend staying at Qieman. First off, its location offers the best and highest vantage point among all hotels for viewing Lugu Lake. The hotel service is impeccable. There are apple and pear trees all over the grounds. They also offer afternoon tea, traditional handicraft workshops, and evening bonfires. The restaurant's food is superb. If you want to walk down to the lake, the friendly 'Baozi' (bun) guy will gladly drive you there and pick you up. This time, I didn't get to see the lumberjack – 'Chaikovsky' (a playful reference to Tchaikovsky, implying a character or performer). I hope more of these unique 'souls' return to add even more fun! 🪓🪓🪓 Wishing Qieman continued success and improvement! 👍

Lijiang Kuanshang: Stepping through the doors of Kuanshang, it doesn't feel like entering a hotel, but rather a relaxing aesthetic space. The air is filled with the scent of tea, and the staff presented me with a blessing that magically appeared on paper when touched by water. The bed was incredibly soft, perfect for lounging and reading all day. I chose the pomelo and fir scented aromatherapy, which made me feel like I was walking through a forest after a fresh rain. The linen curtains offered 99% blackout, leaving just that 1% sliver for natural light. That night, I had no dreams, no sudden awakenings, and didn't even check my phone. I picked up a copy of 'The Moon and Sixpence,' and woke up to a thin beam of light peeking through the curtain. By the time the morning light reached the ancient town, the hotel's breakfast was already prepared. It's no exaggeration to say this is one of the best hotel breakfasts in Lijiang. It's a semi-buffet with an à la carte option, featuring over 10 hot dishes and unlimited main courses. There was even Yunnan-style porcini mushroom fried rice and curry chicken. The fragrant and fluffy French toast was made fresh on the spot – I loved it! (You can ask the butler to order it for you in advance). Breakfast extends until 12:00 PM, making it a great option for brunch too. Truly a foodie's paradise!

This hotel is really unique, with a Chinese-style wooden structure. The room is spacious, and even with an extra bed, it doesn't feel crowded. It comes equipped with a TV, capsule coffee machine, tea set with tea, and plenty of drinking water. They also offered a free travel photography consultation, which was very helpful even though I didn't get to use it due to time constraints. The hotel service is very thoughtful, and the breakfast is abundant. It's part of the same group as the Intercontinental across the street, so you can use their breakfast and facilities as well. The bathtub is generously sized, and from one of our windows, we could even catch a distant view of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. Its location right next to Lijiang Ancient Town makes it super convenient for exploring the town and getting to Zhongyi Market.

This has been the most satisfying B&B I've ever stayed in. The facilities are excellent, the service is attentive, and responses are quick. They offer free high-speed rail pickup, luggage transfer, welcome afternoon tea, and bedtime milk. When we found a drain odor in our room, the staff checked it out and upgraded us immediately, resolving the issue promptly. The toiletries are also high-end, and you can even take home the slippers, bath towels, and regular towels. Aside from the slight noise issue and a limited breakfast selection, everything else was perfect. I would definitely choose Po Xin Yun She again next time.

The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic. A few minutes walk to the left takes you to Heilongtan Park, and a few minutes to the right leads you to Lijiang Ancient City. It's truly in the heart of the city. The service is excellent; they cater to all guest needs, which was very satisfying. It's clean and hygienic; the room was spotless and all the details were well-maintained. A very pleasant stay overall. There are also plenty of dining options nearby.

I booked a designer hotel right by the lake in Daluoshui Village this time. The butler contacted me in advance to arrange my check-in, and there was a dedicated car to pick me up from the entrance of Daluoshui Village. The hotel is very new, the room had no strange odors, and the amenities were quite comprehensive. The butler, Zhaxi Yangge, provided warm and thoughtful service, and even gave me a souvenir when I left. P.S. The scenery was incredible all three days I was here, and coupled with the hotel's exceptional service, this trip to Lugu Lake was absolutely worth it!

Our stay at the Lijiang Old Town Amandela Hotel was a really positive experience overall, with many noteworthy advantages. The hotel is converted from an old Naxi traditional house, exuding a rich ethnic charm everywhere you look. A faint scent of pine wood permeated the room, creating a wonderful ambiance. The public areas featured cozy nooks for playing Go, reading quietly, or just relaxing, which was very pleasant during downtime. The hotel staff were all incredibly gentle and polite, making for an excellent experience. I especially want to commend one male staff member who helped us with our luggage on the morning we checked out. Our two suitcases weighed nearly 50 catties combined, and he effortlessly carried one in each hand down from the second floor. He was efficient and his service was truly outstanding. The bathroom hardware was top-notch, with a Hansgrohe Axor showerhead and a sink faucet with ample water flow, making for a comfortable experience. We had a choice of toiletries, and we opted for L'Occitane. The breakfast was exquisite and meticulously prepared, with outstanding flavors – easily on par with high-end restaurants. The hotel also offered a complimentary afternoon tea, including fruit, nuts, tea, and pastries. Before 9 PM, we could also get fruit, nuts, and drinks, which was a thoughtful and convenient perk. The bedding, bath towels, and hand towels were all of high quality, thick and soft, contributing to a great sleeping and washing experience. I'll also objectively mention a few minor drawbacks of our stay: The room size was a bit small. We had two suitcases, and could only fully open one, while the other had to be placed on the desk. The entire room had wooden decor, so there was some noise when walking on the floor. Room soundproofing was average. The overall indoor lighting was a bit dim, which might not be ideal for families with young children. The light switches had no labels, making them a bit hard to find initially. During peak breakfast hours, the food service was a bit slow, there were too few restaurant staff, and the entrance lacked personnel to maintain order, making it feel a little crowded. Overall, both the hardware and service were exceptional, and I would still highly recommend staying here.

If you're visiting Lijiang's Shuhe Ancient Town, you absolutely cannot miss the amazing Guanxin Inn! The environment here is beautiful, with lush greenery in the courtyard and fresh air that instantly helps you relax. The bedding in the rooms is exceptionally comfortable – a good night's sleep here will leave you feeling completely refreshed! The service is incredibly thoughtful and attentive; no matter what you need, they'll help you out, making you feel as warm and welcome as if you were at home. Step outside the inn and you can immediately experience the ancient town's unique charm and leisurely pace of life, making it perfect for a relaxing vacation and capturing some great photos! I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and immersive experience of Lijiang's culture!

Traveling to Lijiang with my two nephews, we decided to stay in the ancient town. We knew nothing about it and had no time to plan, simply wanting to stay at a high point for a good view. Unexpectedly, we stumbled upon a hidden gem of a hotel! We arrived in the evening during a light rain, but the view from the parking spot was breathtaking. The staff who came to escort us immediately went back for umbrellas so we wouldn't get wet. Their family-like treatment truly made us feel at home. The hotel isn't huge but it's exquisitely designed, with a courtyard that exudes a low-key, elegant charm. Knowing the room type we wanted was fully booked, they specially upgraded us for our last night. And it certainly didn't disappoint! As soon as the kids entered the room, they could play on the swing and climb the stairs. The upstairs room overlooked the ancient town – truly idyllic. The only slight regret is that for our four-day, three-night stay, breakfast was always rice noodles with pretty much the same side dishes 😂 The kids kept asking why it was always the same. This truly is a gem in the ancient town 💎
