I was very satisfied with my stay here. The owner was extremely friendly and attentive; the service was excellent, the rooms were beautifully decorated, and the cleanliness was top-notch, making me feel like I was at home. The location is also perfect, right at the south gate of the ancient city. Upon arrival, the owner personally helped us with our luggage by riding a tricycle. The inn is very comfortable, and it’s very quiet at night. The owner is also a great talker; we enjoyed a cup of tea while he shared stories from all over the world with us. If only there wasn’t such a tight schedule, I would have loved to stay longer. Looking forward to our next meeting!

We stayed here on 22 May 2026 for 2 people for 3 nights , and we had a wonderful experience in Lijiang Old Town. We had two very heavy suitcases, but it was not a problem at all. Jack, the owner, took very good care of us. He speaks English very well, which made everything much easier. We booked the hotel through Trip.com, and right after our payment was confirmed, Jack contacted us immediately. We stayed in touch through WeChat during the whole trip. On the first day, Jack helped us carry both of our heavy suitcases through the old town. He also gave us many useful recommendations. One of our suitcases was damaged during the trip, and he kindly suggested a place where we could buy a new one at a reasonable price. The room was beautiful and had a very authentic traditional Chinese old town feeling. We booked a large room, but we did not expect it to have a loft area and a tea corner inside the room. The night view from our room (Room A201) was absolutely amazing — we could see all the beautiful lights across the old town from the window. We were truly impressed. Jack also told us to visit the rooftop at night to enjoy the rooftop view and city lights of Lijiang Old Town. Unfortunately, we only had time to go there on our last night, and we really wish we had gone earlier. The room was very comfortable, the weather was nice, and there was free tea to enjoy. Housekeeping cleaned the room every day. The bathroom had a hot water system, and we especially loved the strong water pressure. When it was time to check out, we informed Jack in advance that we had to leave very early in the morning to catch our train to Shangri-La. Once again, our heavy luggage was never a problem. Jack was still willing to help us carry both suitcases all the way to the nearest road where we could wait for our DiDi. We truly appreciated his kindness and support throughout our stay We are very thankful to Jack for making our vacation so perfect and memorable. We would definitely love to come back again in the future.

My room was on the third floor, so I couldn't get a direct view of the distant snow-capped mountains. The weather in Lijiang these past few days has been quite good; waking up in the morning and drawing back the curtains revealed beautiful mountain scenery. If the weather is clear, you can wake up early and head straight to the rooftop for a distant view of the 'golden mountain' sunrise over the snow peaks (I'm not sure if it's Jade Dragon Snow Mountain). The room was spacious, very clean, and well-equipped. The guesthouse is located in a quiet village with many other guesthouses nearby, and electric scooter rentals are also available. The courtyard was beautifully maintained, with some flowers and plants. The hosts were very welcoming; the owner even gave us flower cakes and oranges. Every morning, the hostess personally prepared breakfast in the kitchen (rice noodles, dumplings, steamed buns, soy milk, etc.). It was a very satisfying stay.

Traveling with friends, we blindly picked this guesthouse and it was such great value for money! The owner was also super friendly, confirming our arrival plans a day in advance and even helping us with our luggage. There's also a very cute and friendly corgi at the guesthouse that you can pet. The place was very clean too. Definitely the top choice for accommodation when visiting Lijiang!

I am very satisfied with the service of the inn, the rooms, the decoration of the inn, the environment is very clean and beautiful Big brothers and big sisters are very nice people! Very enthusiastic, I am very happy to stay here for a few days. Although it is short, it is very comfortable and comfortable. I will definitely stay here again if I have the opportunity to come to the ancient city again, and will also recommend friends to come here! I highly recommend this inn, especially if you like small animals. You can come here to pet cats and dogs. They are all well-behaved and cute. You don’t want to leave even if you stay here!

I've stayed at this hostel for 5 days, in a male dorm once you get that place, you might be noticed that this hostel is a bit far from Lijiang old town but trust me, you will not like Lijiang old town it is too commercialized to feel the Nasi culture, and literally you will be in the middle of human waves, especially at night(cuz night food market is just next to it) Whilst this hostel is located nearest Suhe old town around 2 min away by foot if gate keeper ask you to pay entrance fare ( I never been asked) just take a detour, you don't need to pay also, baisha old town is also close, 10 RMB by taxi hostel owner Willy ( not sure about spelling) he speaks very good English, if you have any questions, he's willing to help you also other staffs are very friendly and nice👍 even there's two cutest cats! ( just if you have cat allergy, be aware of them, they only stay inside of reception room ) the other things you should know is, if you want to visit Jade dragon snow mountain by public transportation such as bus 🚌, you need to take another bus( bus station is just in front of hostel ) to chongyi market ( better need to take the bus here rather than other stations ), and the first bus of the day departs around 8:50 from hostel side so if you want to see earliest Jade dragon mountain, you better need to book an tour program or take 7 persons mini van or Taxi second thing is, I was in the 10 person's dorm and the shower room is inside of dorm, room condition is not 100% perfect, apart from your bed, so if you are the one that cannot sleep easily, maybe not a good choice for you, plus around 8 am, the town has a bit loud sound of Nasi style Azan songs, I woke up by that Azan sound 1 ~ 2 times but all the same, if i have a nice chance, I would comeback to this hostel, probably for long term stay in the future with my partner if you come to this hotel I hope you are also able to enjoy your trip, good luck!🫡

Right in the old town, no need to walk far after getting off the car. **Ambiance:** **Facilities:** Quite complete, even has disposable toilet seat covers. **Cleanliness:** Clean. **Service:** Attentive, though there are quite a few foreigners. It might get a bit noisy late at night. Great value for money, definitely an option to consider.

Choosing this Lijiang Ancient City B&B is so worry-free! Just in the center of the ancient city, it takes only ten minutes to walk to Sifang Street and the big waterwheel. You don't have to get up early to catch the traffic. You can go back to the hotel to rest at any time when you are tired. The most pleasant surprise is to be quiet in the middle of noisy, the window is the blue tiles and white walls, not noisy at night, sleep particularly fragrant. During the day, follow the ancient city to visit the attractions, and bask in the sun in the yard in the evening. This kind of holiday feeling is comfortable when you go out and come back, and it is directly full!

This was my first time in Yunnan, and my experience in Lijiang was made truly memorable thanks to this charming, family-run boutique hotel. I arrived very early in the morning after taking an overnight sleeper train from Kunming. Check-in was officially after 2 p.m., so I simply intended to leave my luggage and freshen up before exploring the area. To my pleasant surprise, I was warmly welcomed by Chun Kai, the owner’s son, who was managing the front desk that morning. Upon learning that I had an overnight journey, he kindly offered to let me check in early if a room became available. Within 15 minutes, a freshly cleaned room was ready for me, and I was like wowww and really appreciated it. Throughout my three-night stay, Chun Kai continued to be extremely helpful. Despite having to return to his hometown for his grandmother’s birthday, he was very responsive to all my inquiries about local food, attractions and tips through WeChat. The room was clean, well-maintained and comfortable, with an ensuite bathroom, a water heater and an air-conditioner that doubled as a heater. For the price I paid, the room offered excellent value. In terms of location, the hotel is not situated within Lijiang Ancient City, but that turned out to be an advantage. The surrounding neighborhood is quieter and more affordable, with a wide variety of local eateries and two major supermarkets nearby, i.e. Likelong Supermarket is less than a five-minute walk away, and Walmart is just a bit farther. Above all, it was the kindness and genuine hospitality that left a lasting impression. I found it difficult to leave, despite my short stay. If I return to Lijiang, this hotel will certainly be at the top of my list. P/S: The Google Maps address currently appears to be inaccurate. I recommend contacting the hotel directly for the correct location—entry is via the West Gate.

Family of 6 – From Malaysia First of all, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to stay here because there weren’t many reviews yet. But I decided to take a chance, and it turned out to be the best decision ever! I’m so grateful to be staying here. The place is very close to the gate, making it easy to get a taxi or Didi. It’s within walking distance to the ancient town, and halal/Muslim food is just nearby! There are many shops around, and everything is very convenient. Plus, it’s affordable! The rooms have heaters and blanket heaters, and the hot water works great. The Wi-Fi is fast, too. But what I think is most important are the incredibly kind and helpful owner and her friend. They are extremely supportive and solved all my problems. They also reply to my messages quickly! I booked something online, and they helped me receive the package. They also assisted with my logistics, which was so helpful for me as a mother of four. It can be tiring to think about everything at once, but they made it so much easier. I’m overwhelmed by how caring and generous these two ladies are. 🥹🥹🥹 They also arranged our trip to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, and we had a private tour just for our family. We were driven in a luxury car, which was very comfortable for us. This is my daughter’s first time in China, and she has fallen in love with the Chinese people because they are so friendly and kind. We feel very safe staying here. I highly recommend this place! Just ask the owner if you need anything—they will help you with whatever they can. I hope I can repay your kindness in some way.
