Mercure Lisboa is the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. The hotel is convenient and practical for business or leisure trips. Next to Lisbon Zoo, Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and El Corte Ingles. The 104 air-conditioned rooms have double windows and a seating area. Recharge in the covered, outdoor, heated pool on the top floor. Also on site a restaurant, bar and 9 meeting rooms.

The hotel is average, the beds were average, the room was average, the experience was average, you get my point. You will not leave the site singing its' praises. Because we were in November, no air conditioning was available even though temperatures were in the mid to high 70s (f). The best we could do, was open the windows. The staff was no really ready for prime time, they had consistent problems with providing accurate and workable key cards, a pain, since they had two small elevators for a 8-story building in the heart of a business district. The bathroom in tub shower was actually a challenge and, essentially, dangerous. We ended up on the second floor and, to same time, took the stairs down to the lobby only to find that the door from the stairwell would not open, the door handle just turned and turned. I knocked on the door until someone in the lobby opened it. When I the front desk staff about a genuine fire hazard, they seemed to indicate they already knew about the problem. The breakfast was terrible, even by U.S. Express Hotel standards. Please, please find another location to stay.

My overall experience was good but the only downside for me is the location. It needs a long walk, around 20-30 mins, to get to the main city area. I had to get a taxi or Bolt to return hotel every night.
The room was clean with a large king size bed. The room size is reasonable. We were on the first floor facing the street, it was quite at night. Slippers were provided on request. The staffs were very polite and friendly. There were no problem in communication in English. They also suggested a lots restaurants and attractions for us to consider.
The lobby is spacious with a TV and also lots of seating area. There was a small gym room in the basement.
We had a comfortable and great stay with Lumen Hotel.

Not a 4 star hotel - but adequate and functional Staff are 4 Star!! - Always willing to help. Heard several guests take it out on poor staff due to expectations of a 4 star standing. Very basic toiletries - a soap pump stuck on the wall and one glass in the bathroom No concierge to help with touristy stuff. They just hand out brochures Breakfast selection is poor - seems they are always having to fill up in little quantities - seems like they ration the food. Felt sad to even ask the staff to fill up Staff are 4 star! Ordered a limousine airport transfer. No limousine but a regular car smelling of cigarettes. Again no fault of the hotel staff. They did tell me driver is not associated with hotel. I think they should drop down a star or better the facility.

Once a 17th century convent, Locke de Santa Joana has a rich, distinctive history. From preserved interior details to artifacts displayed in the cultural gallery, our Lisbon hotel unites the past and present. A playful style flows throughout 370 serviced apartments, many with their own kitchen.
Vibrant coworking spaces, meeting rooms, and plenty of restaurants and bars mean you won't need to leave. And the sunkissed courtyard and outdoor pool mean you won't want to either. Luxury, yet affordable. Homely, yet indulgent. Ideally located near Avenida de Liberdade.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay at Locke. Staff was friendly and the food at the restaurant on premises was delicious. The room was clean and spacious enough for two (Locke Studio). The building is located within a short walking distance of the Metro. It would take us about 25 minutes to walk to the busy center of Lisbon. There are plenty of restaurants in the area as well and a grocery store within a five minute walk.

Three friends were traveling together and had two rooms. We requested a double room and a twin room, and all were arranged to be twin rooms. The room smelled very strong and was noisy!

Great hotel, rated 3 star but way above. Checked with manager why only 3 star and reply was they did not do lunch. Room was spotless and spacious (Harmony), best shower in a hotel in a long time. Room is high tech, switches just touch, mood lighting, automatic electric blinds and you can stream your own music from your phone to room speakers. Pillows and bed excellent. Erica in reception was a delight, so helpful ( thanks for early check in). Breakfast was great for us, not a huge variety but everything needed to start the day. Pool looks good but did not get chance to try it. Drinks expensive on rooftop bar by pool but nothing you would not expect. Metro 2 minutes from hotel, 2 stops to centre. Highly recommend and would return no problem.

We were pleasantly surprised by Hotel Lisboa and would definitely recommend it. It's located steps away from Avenida da Liberdade. Very convenient with an eye-pleasing walk down to the main square or over to the Parque Eduardo VII. It was sparkling clean. We couldn't have been happier. We had two rooms, one with a king bed and a pullout in the other room, which my friend said was very comfortable. Large windows that opened to let in fresh air and ambient street sounds. The breakfast buffet had a bit of everything with eggs, bacon, fresh fruit, pastries, yogurt, seeds and coffee. Across the street is a mini-mercado and a delicious restaurant called Honest Greens. Would recommend it too, especially if you're veg. Would stay here again.

Located this room within a week and so happy with it. It’s conveniently located a few minutes walk from the train/metro station and a short trip from the airport.
The place is hugely immaculate. Marble floors, huge doorways and plenty of seating within the lobby.
I was pleased with the staff at the front desk who made checkin smooth and enjoyable.
The room itself is true to the style of the orient. Cherrywood furnishings. Plus the AC works!
The outlets could be positioned in a more reachable location than under the desk. There’s only one port at one of the beds. The location is north of the promenade so it’s a little hike to get back.
Overall I’ll definitely go back.
The Ivens Hotel was home to the first luxury warehouse in the city in the XIX century as well as of the first Portuguese public. The iconic building is in every way representative of the XIX century a period which has marked the spirit and culture of Lisbon. The hotel has 87 unique and comfortable rooms of which ten are spacious suites including two signature top floor suites. The entrance was mapped to resemble the journey of Ivens and Capelo, two of greatest Portuguese explorers to unveil Africa back on the XIX century. The hotel holds three cinematic dining areas designed by Lazaro Rosa Violan who offer a journey through Italian cuisine, al fresco dining and a Barra area.

Location - The property is an iconic pink building in the heart of the city centre and located along the hilly slopes of the city. It seems it has an interesting history of being a former radio station as well as home to the first luxury warehouse in the city in the XIX century as well as of the first Portuguese public, which could explain its really quaint design. Room - My room at 22SqM was really cosy but looks exactly like it is in pics - 2pax would definitely be a squeeze though in that space. The narrow walkway is an easy indication of the limited space to come. They did still managed to fit a small wardrobe, safe, and small fridge with some shelving space to the right of the entrance way which I thought was quite impressive. There was a cute tote bag but I wasn't sure if it was for taking or stay-use only so left it alone. As a Bonvoy Elite (Platinum and above), the mini bar comes complimentary which I thought was quite generous even though it excluded the vodka and champagne - beers and snacks sound good enough! Breakfast - breakfast is served at Rocco from 6:30am-10:30am and is a semi buffet style where you pick a main with a small buffet laid out. It did take a while for the staff to bring me the menu which I thought was weird as I was only the 4th occupied table there. I selected the Avocado Toast with creamed spinach and disappointed to report that it was not good - they didn't even have real avocados in the dish but just avocado cream which I didn't expect from a property at this price point. Coffee was kind of weak too. [Full review and pics on Satu Kosong Travels]

Booked this hotel after calling their central reservations office . I told them quiet was my main priority . After assurances from them I cancelled my other reservation in Lisbon . What a mistake ! Paid 790 euro for a family room. Rooms are no better than a holiday inn. My daughter’s room was dirty on check in . Cut nails on the floor , mould in the shower and hair in the sink . Old, tatty and stained bed bases . The common areas were so noisy with business guests . The hotel is attached to a big conference facility . Service was very good but I have no idea why this hotel gets such good ratings . Perhaps because most of the guests are not paying themselves and are getting corporate rates . I felt completely ripped off . The central reservation was not completely honest about the hotel. I spoke to the reception and the GM in the end . They waived my charge for one beer ….. the best they could do . What an insult . Not stated in any “5” star hotel that has mould in the shower . No attention to detail. Don’t stay here if you are on holiday. There’s much better choices in Lisbon .

Excellent
GGuest UserThe location is excellent being in the centre of everything.
Front desk staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good with appropriate choices and fruits are fresh and delicious.
Room size was a bit small but comfortable and cozy.
Would recommend for anyone who looks for value in traveling
KkthérèseThe river view room and toilet were small for one person so I’d image a couple would be uncomfortable here. The location is right in the heart of Alfama and a 10-15 minute walk to Chiado/Barrio Alto. I was excited to come and stay at this hotel after reading the reviews about how friendly the staff are, but I did not receive any welcoming or friendly service from any of the staff here. In fact, I felt unwelcome and almost as if I was bothering them when I spoke to them at the reception or asked first a simple request like water for my room. I previously stayed at Montebelo Vista Allegre hotel in Chiado and I would recommend this hotel instead. I wish I stayed there for the entirety of my trip.
GGuest UserThe suite was exactly like the pictures and description which isn't always the case! Reception staff, whoever was working, were all very friendly and helpful.Spotlessly clean everywhere, soft towels, big shower plus fridge and tea and coffee. Room was cleaned every day and it was great to have a separate bedroom so (tired from all the walking!) husband could sleep while I stayed up and read in the lounge in the evenings without disturbing him. About a 7 minute walk down the Avenue de Liberdade to the buses, trams, funiculars and about 10 minutes to the water front for the boat rides so everything very close. Lots of cafes, shops and restaurants in this area. We bought the 72 hours Yellow Bus tour for 45 euros which includes all of the above transport plus entry to the Santa Justa elevator and use of the yellow trams too so really good value.
Travelling from the UK - think Premier Inn. We stayed here for 5 nights on room only. The hotel room was bright and clean. Bathroom had everything you'd need (shower over bath). Fridge, tea/coffee facilities, TV (limited English), lots of wardrobe and drawer space. Blackout curtains worked a treat (our room was dark even with streetlight shining right outside our window). As a smoker, I was absolutely delighted to find that our room (201) was directly opposite a door out to the hotel garden. We visited the Fenix Music to use the rooftop bar one evening. It's worth going to check it out, drinks reasonably priced. Would be nice if they could work together to allow a day pass to use their pool. We booked this hotel as a base to explore Lisbon. It was perfect. Beautiful gardens right outside with views over the city. Buses outside. Metro 2min walk. Served us perfectly.
AAndreI would book again but a bigger room. The installed not fully closing glass door to the bathroom/toilet will never be my favorite.
The reception is service oriented and welcoming. The cleaning staff should be instructed to communicate without yelling at 9.30am.
Location good. No view, but this is always an issue with small hotels in city center.
I would have expected more CR7 fan articles.
GGuest UserVery large 1 bedroom apartment. Renovated and clean. Very close to everything the area offers. Things to be aware - address given was wrong. We ended up ringing a private home. They said that this has happened repeatedly, so it was not our fault 😅 - the building is next to tram 28. There are two stops, one each direction, one on uphill direction and one in downhill direction. Trams going in both directions can be heard from bedroom loudly. But, downhill going tram makes an extremely loud noise when it breaks for the tram stop (metal on metal screeching noise) Things can be improved - they did not unload the dishwasher from previous people, expecting that we did that. - shower head did not stay steady and slid all the down in about 10 seconds. Continuous battle with pulling it up. - there is shampoo and bath gel, although quality was pretty bad. But, no wash cloth for the gel. You may want to bring it or you may spend a lot of time to find one to buy. - although kitchen had dishes, glasses, pots, etc. It was not stocked with basics like tower, napkin, spices, etc. I would have expected better from a short term rental.
AAnonymous UserBe careful with this hotel, in which service and facilities are wildly variable.
For our last night, one bath towel is missing for a room of double occupancy - a schoolboy error as they would call it - and when we requested the second one, the receptionist acted as if he were doing us a big favour. Then, on our last day, neither of our two room cards worked when we returned to the room 30 min before check out time - and because of receptionist shortage, it took us a good 15 min to get a replacement card - not a good thing for a hotel that brands itself for being chic and high tech.
The room controller, which is run by the TV system, as well as the lighting panel, are as dysfunctional as they get - one would have thought it should be a very simple thing to raise or lower the temperature through a quick flip of a switch, or a simple touch on dial. Instead, it is waiting for the TV to warm up, entering the room control panel, blah blah blah.
Note also a double bed at this hotel means two single beds slapped together. Not great if you have no wish to sleep atop a trench.
Our last night happens to be on a Friday, and the lobby practically turned into a dance floor with loud and cheap beats that went all the way to almost midnight and heard even on the highest floors.
No problem for being chic, but being chic is very different from being dysfunctional and uncomfy. A shame, as the location is excellent, some of the staff were nice and helpful, and some of the decor are clever.
PPQ15The host didn't email the door code to me and there was no one answering the doorbell for the first three times my friends and I tried when it's raining heavily outside that day. I called the owner and they said they would open the door but they didn't and I had to call another time so that they would actually give us the door code to get into the building.
The environment around the stay is very dirty, the road is full with dog poops everyday since morning and it smells very bad.
My belonging is missing in the apartment when I'm very sure that it was still in the bathroom before we left the room. I'm not sure if the cleaner broke it or something else, but I asked them and they say there's nothing they can do about it. I don't mind if they broke it i just want an explanation about why is it missing and they just ignored me, instead they just say they couldn't find the item.
The cleaner cleans the room everyday, the room is clean and is a nice place to sleep overall.
GGuest UserWe stayed here during our annual team trip. We had several apartments in the complex and they looked very good. We had some check-in problems and were helped immediately by the interior caregiver. We had a flat with all the facilities, washing machine, vacuum washing machine, microwave, brooder, etc. The apartments are not in the centre and in the most beautiful part of Lisbon but with taxi, uber or OV you are all the way. We have had a good stay here.
SSantosThe room was super clean, the location is near a public transportation which I'd good ans bad at the same time due to noise, the stuffs are friendly and helpful.
Therr only negatives are:
There is a TV and AC, but in order to use it you must demand the remotes.
As well as the fact that we either give them a credit card or 50 euros as a warranty instead of a ID, which we found it not so common and were doubting it, ans of course we gave cash.
