"The scenery is beautiful, and the owner is very kind! We arrived at the B&B a little after 10 PM, having already informed the owner, and were immediately served a pre-prepared meal. The portions were huge; one dish and one soup was actually quite a bit for two people, and we couldn't finish them all. Parking is available, but you should contact the owner in advance. 🅿️ The location is great, very close to the Thousand-Layered Ladder, perfect for watching the sunrise. 🌅 Breakfast was Guilin rice noodles, very flavorful! We both thought it was delicious. 😋 We went fishing the next morning, but unfortunately, there were no fish, so it was a wasted trip. Overall, the experience was good. 🐟 Oh, the soundproofing could be a little lacking. 🤏"

"It was a very lovely experience staying in this hotel. We came to the parking lot and were already greeted by the host who brought us up to the house. We had a beautiful view over the rice fields from our balcony. Dinner and breakfast was delicious! We could walk from there to viewpoints and the cableway easily and the host gave us good advice. Sensitive sleepers will need some earplugs because as it is a rural area, the roosters start their concert very early in the morning. Also the checkout was very easy, we where brought again to the parking lot. I can definitely recommend this hotel."

"The hotel was amazing and the owners were extremely nice and welcoming. We got a free upgrade. The view from our bedroom was very nice. The food was delicious, we strongly recommend the bamboo rice and the eggplants. They offer international and Chinese breakfast. We were able to try traditional costumes for free. It is very well located and you can go to the viewpoints easily. We were also able to go see the illuminated rice terraces at night thanks to the kind advice of the owner."

"The room is very spacious and bright, clean and sanitary. The details are well done and equipped with toilet mats. The boss and the lady boss are very nice. They came down to pick us up and helped us carry our suitcases upstairs👍👍. The boss lady cooks delicious food. , they also gave us two free breakfasts, a bamboo tube rice 🤭🤭, and they also lent us a motorcycle to ride on, which was very convenient for going out to see the scenery. I must give it a thumbs up 👍👍👍. Finally, I would like to make a sincere suggestion. It would be more perfect to install a dry and wet separation partition in the bathroom."

"This was a local hotel that was situated on a peak facing Jinfoding (Golden Buddha Peak), so note it’s not on Jinfoding itself but still in the same area of Jinkeng Dazhai. I hired a driver via the hotel to fetch me from Guilin Airport to the hotel. Journey took about 3 hours using local roads, if you can somehow negotiate with your driver to take the expressway from the airport, it will be about an hour shorter and less scenic but also less nauseating. Access to hotel is pretty limited unless you hire a driver or you drive. If you take the bus from Guilin downtown/Airport, it will only alight you at the Dazhai parking lot, and you still need to make transport arrangements to get to the hotel within the scenic area (anywhere between 20-40min drive) but the boss is helpful and very contactable (phone call or wechat). I wouldn’t recommend walking to the hotel cos it is situated at the top of a pretty steep hill and it is a one-car lane that goes both ways with many blind spots. At the hotel, you could choose to walk and hike the terraces to other viewpoints in Jinkeng, but note that the routes will be very long and exhausting. If you plan to visit other villages like Ping An Zhai, it’s about an hour’s drive away on mountain roads, and it’s best if you hire a driver as well. Overall, room was very clean and spacious and was true to trip.com description and pictures. Very comfortable, clean and scenic stay! Shower and toilet are separate and clean. There’s a bathtub situated right behind the bed, they provided disposable bathtub liner if you want to use it. Hotel is situated near one of the viewpoints in Jinkeng, but it was very misty on the day I hiked. From what I could make out through the mist, the views seem pretty epic. View from the room is great and the boss provided a welcome sweet rice wine drink with lunch which was great! The boss gave me some luohanguo as a souvenir when I checked out! Did I also mention, breakfast provided included a jar of fresh warm soy milk and a delicious bowl of rice noodles made to order! Will stay again in future!"

"The hotel is incredible. Very well located at the entrance of the town. Rooms are comfortable and the view from it is stunning! The owner Jason is very helpful and speaks well English! Dinner and breakfast are really good. This hotel was perfect to finish our trip in China! Thank you"

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Valley View! The staff is very warm, welcoming and helpful. The room was large and comfortable with a beautiful view of the mountains. Ping’an Village is about a 30-minute walk from Valley View, a walk that allows you to walk down steps amongst rice terraces. We enjoyed each meal, breakfast, lunch and dinner at Valley View. And the dogs are sweet and wonderful, too!"

"Perfect place, they pick you up at Dazhai parking lot and take you the day you leave. It’s very clean, we took lunch and dinner, really good and not expensive at all. There is also laundry self Service, very useful. We went walking to the cablecar station, about 40 minutes nice walk. And the swimming pool is a great plan after walking. There is also a billiard table to use free of charge. They helped us to organize the bus to Guilin. We highly recommend this hotel."

"Thanks to the boss for the free room upgrade. The balcony of the family room can directly see the terraced fields. You can take photos of the Milky Way just walking out of the hotel door at night There is a washing machine available for free use"

"A family ran hotel with brand new amenities and really great views of the Jinkeng village rice terraces if you book the rooms with views. We only stayed for one night but we really appreciated the warm hospitality from the host family. The food, breakfast and dinner, were both quite good. Logistically, you have to contact the hotel to pick you up from the entrance of the Jinkeng village (bottom of the cable car) then it’s only a short 5-7 mins drive from there. We called the hotel thru our driver and everything worked out smoothly. Another highlight is that from this hotel, you can trek for about 40 mins thru the village and rice terrace to get to the highest viewing platform of the Jinkeng village. It was a bit of a workout but the views along the way was really worth it. The owner will send u a detailed guide of how to get there so you won’t get lost. Overall I would highly recommend for the views and the opportunity to trek a little deeper into the village and terraces and enjoy the tranquility there."
