Strange hotel really! On arrival, it's one of the most beautiful buildings and approach we've seen in a long time. The hotel has been built next to the castle and is totally in keeping with its surroundings. On arrival, the reception area is stunning and the staff helpful and friendly. However, it went rapidly downhill on opening our room door. The first thing we noticed was the curtain hanging off its rail! It's a big room with very little furniture and what there was, was a bit tatty. We were disappointed so headed back to reception to change rooms. Pretty much the same but the curtains were ok. This time the room smelt of drains! Having never stayed in a parador before, we were expecting a bit of luxury, maybe our mistake. The room was pretty basic with standard hard beds, no cushions on the sofa, no little extras. The building deserves better! Room was very clean and large but just lacking any wow factor or a hint of luxury. For an overnight stay, it's a great location and clean, just don't expect a beautiful room in keeping with the building. Fantastic views day and night

The hotel has a great view, a lot of public space and is very cost-effective.

The location is actually a bit hard to get to without a rental car, but considering the overall quality of the hotel, including the facilities and view, it's worth considering. And it's probably not easy to find a hotel this good for the price.

The hotel stands alone on the highest point of Lorca, with a good view, suitable for self-driving travel. The hotel staff is very enthusiastic, like it 👍🏻, the breakfast is delicious. The room configuration is slightly poor, there are no toiletries, no slippers, not even a bathrobe, remember to bring it yourself. The parking lot is beautifully repaired and free. Generally speaking, this is the first choice in Lorca

Magnificent parador, very well located, very attentive staff, very clean and comfortable rooms, highly recommended, a parador out of ten.
