Steigenberger Resort Luxor | My Honest Review 🌴 My stay at the Steigenberger Resort Luxor was, overall, very pleasant and offered great value for money. The hotel's general ambiance is excellent; the public areas are well-maintained, and the garden, pool, and the atmosphere by the Nile are all very comfortable. For a five-star hotel in Luxor, I believe its overall facilities and environment are quite competitive. The room was comfortable and clean. Although some of the facilities show their age, they are still well-maintained. The hotel's location is also quite convenient, saving time when visiting attractions like Luxor Temple and Karnak Temple. I also tried the hotel's Lebanese restaurant. The dishes were generally good, but one shrimp dish was quite disappointing. The texture of the shrimp was noticeably tough and dry after grilling, with almost no juice. It didn't live up to the standard I'd expect from a five-star hotel restaurant at that price point. I don't have an issue with using frozen shrimp per se, but the key is that the final quality didn't match the price. I reported this issue to the restaurant manager at the time, but the subsequent resolution wasn't entirely satisfactory. Given that the restaurant is not cheap and positions itself as a five-star hotel restaurant, I believe guests are willing to pay more for the ambiance and service, but they should also receive ingredient quality and culinary expertise that match the price. However, I must give special praise to the waiter, Abdallah. His service attitude throughout the meal was excellent – enthusiastic, polite, and very patient. Even after we reported the issue with the dish, he maintained his excellent service, which prevented the overall dining experience from becoming terrible because of that one dish. His service truly deserves commendation. 👏 Putting aside the minor hiccup at the restaurant, the hotel's stay experience itself was very good. With its pleasant environment, comprehensive facilities, and great value for money, it remains a hotel I would highly recommend in Luxor. I hope the hotel will pay more attention to the quality of its dining and the details of customer complaint handling in the future, and also acknowledge employees like Abdallah who diligently serve guests. This would make the overall experience even more complete. 🌅

This hotel offers excellent value for money, and the overall facilities are quite new. We stayed in a Nile side-view room, and the view of the Nile from the balcony was unobstructed. The pool downstairs has a great view. The hotel has its own pier where you can take a felucca ride on the Nile. When we went, the price had increased to $15 for two people (although it was a private boat, I felt the scenery would be better if we took a felucca from the Luxor Temple pier outside the hotel). I recommend the hotel's Thai restaurant. Just a heads-up, there's ongoing road construction outside the hotel, which I heard started at the beginning of the year and seems to be progressing very slowly. It makes getting around a bit inconvenient and there's a lot of dust. However, the inside of the hotel is very good.

Amazing Hotel, amazing staff, very friendly and accommodating. The pool is great and the view from the balcony is beautiful overlooking the Nile river. Perfect stay, would definitely come back again

I stayed for two nights! I was delighted to find welcome fruits in the room. I had a room on the 5th floor, in the center of the hotel, with the Nile River right in front of me – the view was absolutely stunning! Both days, I spent my time gazing at the beautiful sunset from my room. The pool was also available and very pleasant to use. On the other hand, there were a few minor disappointments. The refrigerator wasn't very cold, so I couldn't chill drinks and other items sufficiently. Also, some of the security staff at the entrance were not very friendly and avoided eye contact. The check-in explanation was the fastest I've ever experienced; they rushed through it before I could even understand, which was a bit confusing. Given how friendly and pleasant the doormen were, the inconsistency in customer service among staff was a bit of a letdown. Overall, I think it's a comfortable hotel with great views and a pool.

Our stay in Steigenberger Nile Palace was beyond fantastic. We chose the king room with full Nile view. The Hotel has great restaurants, cafes, bar, and pool. The entire property has amazing staff who went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable. Mr. Mohammed, Mr. Ahmed, Mr. Makar, took great care of us. The breakfast at Nubia restaurant was fantastic and has a wonderful spread. The room was very spacious and offerd great view of the Nile from the balcony. I highly recommend staying here.

This hotel offers a fantastic experience! The front desk staff speaks some Chinese, and there are Chinese check-in instructions in the room. All the staff members are warm and friendly. The shower facilities in the room are comfortable and work well. The breakfast is delicious, the juice is fresh, and the restaurant service is attentive. You can even enjoy breakfast in the outdoor area. It's incredibly convenient that you can take a sailboat directly from the hotel, and the entire public area of the hotel is beautiful.

The hotel environment is excellent, and the safety measures are also top-notch. The front desk staff who handled check-in were incredibly accommodating and deserve commendation. The hotel's Thai restaurant is also delicious. The only downside was finding hair in the bread at the breakfast buffet, which I hope they can pay more attention to in the future.

Excellent hotel with quality service! The staff are friendly, and there's a Russian-speaking employee who gave us a lot of helpful tips. The jewelry shop in the hotel has high-quality items. The view from the balcony of the Nile, with stunning sunsets and sunrises, is breathtaking. You can also go for a sailboat or motorboat ride directly from the hotel's pier; the prices are reasonable (we paid 1000 EGP for the entire motorboat). The captain even treated us to mint tea 😊. Many thanks to the hotel for the stay, I highly recommend it to everyone!

A warm welcoming with great service taking care of our bags. The hotel was very modern and clean, any queries or needs we had were taken care of by the staff in a prompt and positive manner.

For this price and view, it's totally worth it. The breakfast was quite good, and the Thai food was delicious, though the Italian restaurant was just so-so. Downside: The staff lacked service awareness. No one greeted us upon arrival, and after checking out, no one helped with our luggage to the car.

The hotel environment is great, and the rooms are very clean. The Thai chef at the hotel is from Thailand, and the dishes are authentic. I'd call this the best value-for-money hotel in all of Egypt.

The bedding was very comfortable, the hotel environment was great, and the staff were very friendly. It was a wonderful experience. I will definitely stay here again next time I visit Luxor, Egypt.
