A very satisfying stay! The apartment room was spacious with a great city view. It was clean and well-maintained, fully equipped, and the service was warm and attentive. The environment was quiet and comfortable, making for an excellent stay. Definitely recommended! ✨ The only minor issue was that getting a taxi was difficult and depended on luck; during rain or peak hours, it was almost impossible to hail one.
The moment I stepped into the hotel lobby, I knew it was great value, and when I entered the room, I was even more amazed. I booked a twin sea-view room, and although it was a bit small, its minor flaws didn't detract from its overall appeal. The hotel's location is super convenient, very close to Galaxy, just a sky bridge away. Across the river from the hotel is Hengqin Port, and Taipa Village is also within walking distance.
The room was nice and the room service was acceptable, but the front desk service was terrible. Ten days before check-in, I specifically confirmed with the hotel via the platform what kind of view the room would have, and they replied 'sea view'. Upon check-in, I confirmed again, and they said I could see the sea view from the balcony. However, when I entered the room, I found I had to stick my head out and look sideways from the balcony to catch a glimpse of the sea. Eventually, after coordinating through the platform, I paid the difference and switched to a room with a proper sea view.
On the morning of the third day of my stay, I sent clothes for laundry, stating that I would be checking out the next day. Housekeeping said they would return them that evening. That night, I called the front desk to ask when they would be returned, and the front desk said they wouldn't be back until the next day. I mentioned that the laundry slip stated they would be returned that evening. The front desk said that wasn't correct and the slip would be updated. About half an hour later, housekeeping brought the clothes back.
The front desk was particularly, incredibly, absolutely terrible. Communicating with the front desk was so frustrating it felt like I was aging rapidly.
We took our child to Macau during the off-peak season. The hotel provided a baby bath and crib, making it very family-friendly. There were also plenty of elevators, making it convenient to go up and down. Although there's no restaurant in the hotel itself, there are many dining options in the mall, which is quite convenient. While the free shuttle buses aren't frequent, there's a bus stop right outside with many routes, making it easy to get around.
Every time I visit Macau, I always stay at the Grand Lisboa. If you're looking for a hotel on the peninsula, the Grand Lisboa is definitely the most convenient and best value for money. It's very close to the Square and the Ruins of St. Paul's, and shopping is incredibly easy. It's about a seven or eight-minute walk to Wynn to see the Tree of Prosperity. The hotel's breakfast buffet and dinner are also of very good quality.
The hotel management at Mandarin Oriental Macau is highly professional, and the service for guests is warm and attentive to detail. The room hygiene is impeccable, and the bedding is especially wonderful, really helping with sleep. It's definitely the top choice for families traveling with children.
The room was clean and the service was excellent. The Italian restaurant downstairs was fantastic; I ate there for three consecutive days. The hotel's location is convenient, just a ten-minute walk to the main pedestrian street. This was my second stay, and I'll definitely come back again.
This was my first time in Macau, and I'm so glad I chose this hotel – I'm really satisfied. First off, the location is excellent; it's a bustling area, and right downstairs there's a free shuttle pick-up point for the Venetian. The iconic Grand Lisboa hotel is also just a five or six-minute walk away. The room was much bigger than I expected, and it was fully equipped with everything I needed. The front desk staff and the luggage storage attendants in the lobby were all very friendly and polite. If I ever get the chance to visit Macau again, I'll definitely choose this hotel.
The service was excellent during my stay! However, I ran into an issue during checkout that required police assistance. While waiting for the police to arrive, my phone was almost out of battery. I asked the front desk if I could borrow a power adapter. The male front desk staff said they had one and asked for my room number. I told him I had already checked out but just needed to charge my phone in the lobby for a bit and would return it right away. The staff then immediately said they didn't have one. Hmm! I've stayed at your hotel many times during my trips to Macau, and the service has always been great. But this time was really disappointing! If my phone wasn't about to die and I couldn't scan for a power bank, I wouldn't have even asked to borrow an adapter after checking out. I understand you have a right not to lend it, as it's your property. But I still wanted to share this experience. After all, even if a guest has checked out, shouldn't there be a bit more humanity when they're in urgent need of help?
The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic – super convenient for getting around. It's just a stone's throw from Wynn and Grand Lisboa, and there's a bus stop right outside the door where you can get anywhere for just 6 yuan. It's an older 4-star hotel, but a big plus is that the shower isn't in a bathtub, which is great. I'd definitely stay here again on my next visit. The front desk staff were very polite, and the bellhops at the entrance were also excellent.
