This is a reasnably priced and comfortable place to stay in the Malasaña district. It is very close to the Tribunal tube station. The rooms have little but functional kitchens, which is a real help if you are travelling alone or want to save a bit of money by preparing your own food. The bathroom works very well and the cleaning is generally very good. There is no lift in the building and all rooms are on the first floor, so it is not wheelchair accessible. I have stayed in Luna more than once, because I like the location. On two occasions there have been serious problems with Room 3, which is a more expensive room with a balcony. The room has a very bad smell, this was apparent on my first visit (a member of my group stayed there and needed to change room) and on my latest visit there had been an attempt to cover the smell using chemicals, which caused my to have an exacerbation of asthma. The smell is like a rotten bin. None of the other rooms are affected by the bin smell and the management were responsive and changed the rom without issue. However, when I asked them on the second occasion if anyone had every complained about the smell in Room 3, I was told that they had not, which was untrue. The location is very good and, apart from Room 3, you will enjoy your stay. The less expensive roomss without balconies are quieter as they face the internal patio of the building where the other residents hang their washing.
