The Central House Madrid Lavapiés ★★
"This was my very first hostel experience, and I’m so happy I chose this one! From the moment I arrived, the reception staff made me feel so welcome. Everyone was incredibly kind, helpful, and always happy to answer any questions I had. The hostel was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the overall atmosphere was amazing. It had such a friendly, relaxed vibe that made it easy to feel at home. Staying here made my first hostel experience even better than I expected, and I would absolutely stay here again. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and welcoming place to stay!"

Hotel101 Madrid ★★★
"Simple hotel good for an overnight layover if you don’t want to go to the city centre. The shuttle bus only goes once per hour - from hotel: Our complimentary hotel shuttle service from Madrid Airport (Terminal 4) to the hotel operates every hour from 6:45 AM to 9:45 PM, except at 10:45 AM and 7:45 PM. This super been helpful info to have prior to booking as I arrived at T2 at 18:20. So had to wait quite a while. That also meant the shuttle was filled quickly and some people were left behind as it arrived about 8:30pm and even when full didn’t depart until 20:45. Staff in the hotel were nice and there’s a supermarket next door so that was good to get some snack for dinner and an early departure. The 6am shuttle back to the airport was also full before departure time, so be sure to arrive early if planning to use this service. However it does drop off at all terminals, which is good."

Zleep Hotel Madrid Airport ★★★
"The industrial-style decor was as basic as it gets, which was fine since I only needed to sleep for five hours before catching my flight. There was no view from the window, it was completely blocked. It's a convenient ten-minute drive to the airport, and there's also a shuttle bus available."

Live it Madrid Gran Vía ★★
"Great location and very convenient area, which was definitely the best part of the stay. However, the experience had several issues. The hotel was quite noisy, especially at night, which made it difficult to rest properly. I also requested an extra blanket during the evening, and the night staff member told me it was “too late,” claiming it was past midnight, even though it was clearly well before midnight. That response felt unprofessional and disappointing. Another issue was with the water supply on the higher floors. We stayed on the 8th floor, and the water pressure was very low, with periods where there was almost no water flow at all. Overall, while the location is excellent, the noise, medium service response( the morning staff were very great a lovely), and water problems made the stay less comfortable than expected."

Riu Plaza España ★★★★
"The rooftop bar is fantastic for photos and social media. The hotel's location is excellent, making it super convenient to get everywhere. Plaza de España is right downstairs, and Cervantes' statue is practically at the doorstep. Plus, there's a bustling commercial pedestrian street nearby with plenty of food and entertainment options. The Royal Palace is only about an 8-minute drive away. The room itself was a bit small, but the bathroom was surprisingly spacious, at least with a separate wet and dry area. Breakfast offered a good variety, and it was fun watching the kids DIY their own breakfasts, which changed daily. The in-room amenities, however, were quite basic, on par with a typical 3-star hotel back home (so don't expect too much). I didn't take any photos of the room. Remember to bring a power adapter; charging directly with a data cable is too slow."
