"Excellent location right on Madrid's main avenue, very close to Plaza de España. It's also a short walk to Puerta del Sol and Retiro Park, making it easy to explore on foot. There are plenty of restaurants, cafes, and even a KFC nearby. The airport isn't too far either. The front desk staff were very friendly and patient, and the room itself was decent, clean, and hygienic. It's a great choice for a short tourist trip."

Amazing
TTati_13The hostel was good and clean. My only real issue was with my roommates; they were up until 1 AM, laughing and chatting. The dorm room itself was divided into two sections: one for four girls and another for two. A big plus was that I had a bathroom shared with only one other person.

AancoheBeautiful hotel, warm and considerate service staff, delicious breakfast, great location, within walking distance to the Royal Palace of Madrid, Puerta del Sol, and even Retiro Park. The car rental company has a store in the underground garage of Plaza de España. You can pick up the car there. It's only a 500-meter walk, everything is perfect, and it's worth coming back. That day I went to the rooftop swimming pool and unexpectedly met a handsome foreigner waiter who spoke Mandarin better than me😄. There was also a Chinese girl in the restaurant who was enthusiastic and capable; if the price is acceptable, there is nothing to worry about.

YYS111Good for a party crowd but the room was a little noisy for us, overhearing loud music playing in the lobby until ~10pm-ish. Good amenities in the small room. Comfortable shower with consistent warm water and water pressure, fit for a global brand. Great made to order breakfast. But one big problem with the room design. The main ventilation faces our bed. This means we wake up with a headache in the morning because cold wind consistently blow on our heads while we sleep. Either that or not having enough air ventilation in the room.

GGuest UserGreat location, fast wi-fi, comfortable bed. Laundry room was a really nice bonus. As for the downsides... On the first day people kept entering my room with their keycards, and not all of them were hotel workers, which was creepy. One night some neighbours were **********. Good for them, not so good for my sleep — so the soundproofing could be better. And I also got allergic to the shower gel which never happened before. So it really was a 50/50 experience

NNo sugar ,but coffeeThe room was clean and tidy. The breakfast spread was extensive, with options catering to Chinese palates, including local fried dough sticks (youtiao) and dumplings, all of which tasted great. There was also a wide selection of fresh fruit. The only minor downside was the typical European hotel amenity setup – no complimentary toothbrushes, toothpaste, or slippers provided in the room. The location is also excellent, right next to Retiro Park and the Prado Museum.

DDazhazhadesuThe hotel is located right next to Retiro Park, on the edge of Madrid's central business district. It takes over half an hour by subway to get to the Royal Palace or the Prado Museum area, or about 15 minutes by taxi. The nearest metro station is a very close 3-minute walk away. The hotel's cleanliness was decent, but it's clear the facilities are quite old. I booked a room without breakfast, but for some reason, breakfast was complimentary, which was a nice surprise. The variety wasn't extensive, but the taste was acceptable. You could also order from a menu.

LLatuoweiyawanglanI stayed at this hotel for three consecutive nights. The room was very spacious and comfortable, and there was a supermarket conveniently located right outside. A particular highlight was their underground parking garage: the entry and exit points were very wide, allowing even large vehicles to maneuver in and out smoothly, and the parking spaces themselves were very generously sized. The only minor downsides were that the hotel facilities felt a bit dated, and the shower water pressure was quite low. However, the breakfast was excellent, offering a wide variety of choices. Overall, everything else was great – it was clean and the service was good.

MMrWong888After traveling extensively in China, returning to Spain highlighted some noticeable differences, particularly in Madrid. While the city and its infrastructure may feel a bit outdated compared to other global hubs, the Hotel Madrid Chamartín Affiliated by Meliá was a decent and comfortable place to stay. The hotel’s location is its strongest feature—it’s directly across from Chamartín Train Station and its adjacent subway station. While the train station and subway facilities are not the most modern or impressive, the convenience of being so close to transportation hubs is a definite plus. The street leading to the hotel is a bit unusual, set on a slope, but it’s manageable. The room was clean and functional, though slightly dated. The beds were comfortable, albeit with older spring mattresses that could use an upgrade. Despite the slightly worn feel, the room provided a comfortable space to rest after a day of exploring or work. The standout feature of this hotel was undoubtedly the breakfast. It was absolutely amazing, with a wide variety of fresh and delicious options that catered to different tastes. It was easily the highlight of my stay and set a great tone for the day. The service was also pleasant and friendly, which is a nice touch, especially given the sometimes lackluster service standards in Spain. The staff were helpful and made the stay more enjoyable. Overall, while the Hotel Madrid Chamartín Affiliated by Meliá may not be the most modern or luxurious option, it offers good value for its location, a comfortable stay, and an exceptional breakfast. If you’re looking for a convenient and reliable place to stay near Chamartín Station, this hotel is a solid choice.

SSS TripsBit hard to get to/from the airport they do have shuttle services but its a lil tricky navigating the site plus they are only available between certain hours of the day. Its in the middle of nowhere. Just industrial area and other hotels. Which forces you to dine in, breakfast is decent, but dinner was bad. Feel like the food in general is cheap, but charged at a premium. Poor quality ingredients for what you are paying for. I dont expect a mcchicken burger at 18euro. I expect a real chicken breast. Not mechanical blended meat. Other than that the place is actually really nice. Im a fan of that Scandinavian minimal look. Next time i would actually still stay here but just taxi to a nearby restaurant or uber eats some nicer food instead of dining in. Staff were lovely and helpful. Decent gym too. They need slightly heavier weights but you can get a good work out with thats there. I may of got swindled as I ordered a double and they put the singles together. I didnt want to make a fuss but look out for that.

WWei Kion• The bed was very comfortable and provided a good night’s sleep. • The air conditioning did not have heating, but the blanket was thick enough to keep warm; the temperature that night was around 13°C. • The room was very spacious—enough to fully open two large suitcases on the floor with plenty of space left to walk around. • The bathroom included a hairdryer. • The shower drain seemed slightly clogged, causing slow drainage; we had to keep the water pressure low while showering. • No drinking water was provided in the room, but the front desk informed us that the tap water from the bathroom sink is safe to drink. • There was no kettle in the room, but you can request hot water from the front desk—they kindly provided it from the cafeteria free of charge. • Although the hotel is not located right in the tourist center and isn’t within short walking distance to major attractions, it has excellent transport links: there are both a bus stop and a metro station right outside and around the corner. • It’s very convenient whether you’re arriving from Atocha Station or heading to key destinations like Madrid Royal Palace, Moncloa Bus Terminal (for Segovia express), Plaza Eliptica (for Toledo express), or Estacion de Autobuses Madrid Sur (for Porto overnight bus). • The front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful. On the day of check-out, we left our luggage there for free while we visited Toledo. When we returned around 6:00 PM, they even provided hot water for our instant noodles. We rested in the cafeteria for a few hours before heading to catch our overnight bus to Porto. • Their assistance made our trip much smoother and more comfortable.
