5-Star Hotels in Madrid

This was my second stay here. The hotel has an excellent location, with a subway station right downstairs. Upon arrival, there were thoughtful snacks on the bed, and the toiletries were L'Occitane, with plenty of bottles provided. The best part, of course, was the large bar of soap, so I didn't have to ask the hotel for one. They also offer turn-down service. Additionally, the hotel thoughtfully provides charging adapters for Chinese guests, which is very convenient. For a hotel costing nearly 3000, it would be even better if the minibar were free. The breakfast was quite rich for a European hotel, though there were slightly fewer hot food options.

The location is nearby the train station.. The staff are very attentive n the house keeping was good. Room is big with bathtub, the king size bed is generally combination of 2 twin bed.. which is huge.. Breakfast is good.. especially the fresh press orange.. Had compliment a birthday cake as a gift. Had requested for the extension check out time with a very reasonable charges.

Room itself and location were fantastic. Spotless, tidy, well equipped. Very walkable to all main attractions. Only thing was that the reception and concierge weren’t the most friendly / empathetic to our concerns about finding alternative routes when our trains got cancelled and we were trying to ask them for help with it.

The hotel is magnificent,but before the reconstruction in the rooms was quiet.Now the room is not led by a soundproof door (seen under the door from the corridor),when guests in the corridor talk or when baggage or service carts are rolled,they are heard in the room.This is The only significant shortcoming of the hotel.

The price is reasonable, but the room layout is a bit awkward; you see the spa right as you open the door. The air conditioner also blows directly onto the pillow, which is a bit concerning. On the plus side, the location is excellent, with easy access to the subway and buses! There's also a gym and a swimming pool!

Great hotel right in the middle of the action in central Madrid.   Customer service was top notch.  There was always someone around everywhere to greet and assist you.  The door man and concierge were friendly and helpful with any needs.  The housekeeper was top notch too.  She iwas very friendly and organized items in our room neatly and folded items even.   I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to be close to all the sites and major activities in Madrid.

The room was very spacious. While its location is a bit of a walk from the metro station, it's still easily accessible on foot. As a classic five-star hotel, the bed was incredibly comfortable. However, a notable omission was the lack of a coffee machine, coffee pods, or even creamer. For a five-star property, especially in Spain where coffee is renowned for its quality, this felt quite basic and a bit of an oversight.

This hotel's unique feature is that each floor is designed by a different artist, resulting in distinct and sometimes extreme styles. I deliberately booked two different rooms, staying 2 nights in each for a total of 4 nights, so I could experience them. The young lady at the front desk who checked me in at dawn was incredibly friendly and professional. She even encouraged me to visit the lobbies on different floors to experience their unique styles and noted my preferred floor for the room change. The issue arose the night before I was due to switch rooms. I spoke to the same front desk agent, asking if I could change rooms after 2 PM the next day, due to jet lag and needing time to pack my belongings. She generously agreed, stating it was fine since I was extending my stay rather than checking out, and my next booking was a suite. However, at exactly 10 AM on the day of the room change, someone repeatedly knocked on my door. Still asleep, I went to ask what was going on. It was a cleaner who apologized, saying they thought the room was already vacated. I explained I was changing rooms in the afternoon, and she left. Immediately after, I noticed the TV screen indicated 'no guest checked in,' and I couldn't watch any channels. The front desk called right away. It was a middle-aged woman who sounded very experienced, and she spoke with a stern tone: 'Your suite is ready, on the floor you requested. I'm sending someone with the key now; please move immediately. There's a guest waiting for your current room.' I told her I had confirmed with them last night that I would move in the afternoon, and I wasn't even out of bed yet. She immediately replied, 'No, that's not possible. We can't wait. I can send someone to help you pack and move.' Her attitude was awful. What's more, she didn't sound like a regular front desk agent; she seemed to be a manager. This kind of service is nowhere near five-star standard.

Although the hotel is a bit old-fashioned, it's clean, tidy, and has a warm, festive Christmas atmosphere. The front desk and lobby staff are incredibly welcoming and friendly. My room had a terrace, offering beautiful views of Madrid city during sunrise and sunset. The floor attendant was exceptional; if I missed the cleaning time, she'd thoughtfully leave her cart by my door so I could grab water and supplies myself. She really went above and beyond! It's also very convenient to explore the commercial district and large supermarkets nearby. I'll definitely stay here again next time!

Staff are friendly and helpful. We had problems in charging our car. We asked for help and they came in a minute to help. Carpark is just in the basement and so we could unload luggages and took the lifts from basement up to our room floor directly. Very convenient. Room : spacious Breakfast : not worth, only few varieties. Cleanliness : looks clean in general. But I think the hotel should pay more attention to the 'little things'. One spoon in the room and a plate in the breakfast restaurant had dirt.
