There was a snafu at check-in as I dragged my luggage to the second floor (or first in UK) floor room, only to find another guest and her dog in the room. Then I was given a first (or ground) floor room. The room is of an OK size and the small desk is actually big enough for working with your laptop. For the price, this place is OK. On major bus routes.

The shower wasn't working, the soap and shower gel dispenser were not working. in the absence of working dispensers, the staff gave us 2 mugs filled with liquid to wash ourselves with... ONGOING COMPLAINT. STILL NO RESOLUTION.

We only booked this hotel as there wasn't anything available at a reasonable price in a Premier Inn. It's quite dated and our room was small. That said, we would stay again if it came to it, but only if not planning to spend any time in the room. We didn't eat there as it was too depressing, but getting into the city centre was easy by bus. The staff were nice and the bed was comfortable enough. No air con as such but kept the window open.

Checked in late evening as had travelled up with my teenage son earlier in the day for the Manchester Derby football match. Last stop Travelodge Manchester Sportcity, arrived to a very warm welcome by Lucie, Lucie was extremely helpful and brilliant front facing customer service by her. Recommend your stay at the Travelodge Manchester City, breakfast was great as well. Will 100% return. Jamie Baldwin

Our stay at this travelodge was really good. Blue badge parking was free if you told reception. Lucy was on reception. Nothing was too much trouble. Thanks, Lucy. We arrived early. Our room was clean. Ideal just what we wanted. Comfortable sleep. Breakfast was a choice of sausage bacon, egg hash browns, and mushrooms buffet style. There were yoghurts' great selection, even dairy free. Crossiants bagels and toast. Also, porridge pots and fresh fruit. Checkout was easy pop your door card in the slot at reception
