i initially booked it for myself but needed to give the room to my friend, the staff were superhelpful in how quickly and friendily they sorted everything out. good stay and a decent pint of beer. or 10.

Visited here with 24 friends and we ordered the buffet @ a discount rate of £8.40p/head, should of been £15/head. Disgusting... no choice. Chicken wings, ham wrap, onion rings, sausages.... tasteless and disgusting. When we came to pay, the manager said there was no reduction but set a price of £12/head....even at £8.40p it was still not worth it AVOID THIS ESTABLISHMENT!!! There is no shortage of eating venues in the area... AVOID.

Nice enough out but some of the bar staff are clueless ****** My opinion but how you can get a drinks order of 4 drinks so wrong is beyond me - 2 and half pints and 1 wine turned in 5 halfs Maybe if you listened then instead of chatting you wouldn't make such mistakes

Went for a pleasant drink in the afternoon. Ended up being harassed by an online management meeting on loudspeaker whilst trying to have a beer. Ridiculously it must have been the bar manager having a meeting as he walked behind the bar to get a coffee halfway through it. But clearly he and the meeting host didn't mind annoying us, as the volume was well beyond talking, complete with external colleagues informing us that she wasn't listening sporadically. Not very professional in my opinion, and also unpleasant.

Great location for our trip. Busy pub with good atmosphere. Good choice of good for snacks or more substantial meals Friendly welcoming staff. Clean room comfy bed spacious room, coffee/tea making facilities within room. Great breakfast!!

Wow, What a dump, not been here for a few years. This was my favourite pub circa 98 to 2003. Been back many times since but never again. Filthy tables, beer served in plastic glasses by a rude child. His colleague came out to help wearing over the ear headphones that took him 2 attempts to remove! Had to ask for paper and Spray to clean my own table. Other pba closing everywhere who work hard to make ends meet, will spend my money elsewhere. (Owners I suggest Check CCTV 9th July between 8pm and 8.10pm.) Embarrassing (and empty) Dave
