Very good location in the middle of the suburban. Shops around, mostly chains. .Whoever arrives with the car has the parking house directly with it. Price for today's conditions moderate. From the train station bus drive directly to the house. We were with a group there. The rooms are located on the 4th floor in endlessly long walks and are accessible by a number code. I had a single room that was okay, bath very nice and clean, soap and fene available. Teater floor in such a new house is not so my. The room had quite small windows, the mattress was personally too tight for me. Air conditioning is available.. There were others from my group had much more luck with the room. But in general I can recommend the hotel perfect for a city trip. Breakfast was good for €10.50, a 2. coffee machine would not be bad if the hotel is well visited to avoid snake formation. The staff at breakfast was very friendly. Marburg has a very nice old town, sticks and restaurants without end, but there are great height differences to overcome everywhere. Long stairs and headstone patches everywhere. About 400 metres from the hotel there is an elevator to the top city. That is practical. There are also many small shops in the streets. Who wants to go up to the castle, either must overcome many stairs or can go up with a small city bus (Nr.10). There you have a beautiful view. I don't find the inside of the castle so worth seeing.

The Tusculum has a very nice and familiar owner, who stands by with advice and act. The rooms are clean and funny furnished, I was a guest at Charlie Chaplin. The location is super, a few steps to the lan, 10 minutes to the top city, shopping facilities are also walking. Restaurants and cafés are in the immediate vicinity. I booked the room with common toilet and shower, a good choice and a fair price-performance ratio. To the next time!

The location of the hotel is very convenient, very close to the city center, it is enough to walk anywhere. Breakfast is also good, the variety of choices is very rich. It is expensive.

We were only in the restaurant. We had a very good food there. The food came to the table after a short waiting time in best quality. The services were very friendly and attentive. The room in which we eaten has a very cozy charm, with rustic optics and fireplaces. Just recommend.

Auf der Suche nach einem entspannten Wochenende sind wir wieder mal in der Sonne in Frankenberg gelandet, es war das dritte Mal. Happy sind wir nicht geworden, das Hotel wird im Vergleich zu Häusern der Peergroup seinen Ansprüchen nicht wirklich gerecht – und vornehmlich liegt es an dem komplexesten aller Themen, nämlich dem Service. Vorweg: Die Sonne ist ein sehr schönes Hotel, wir hatten erneut eine Spa-Suite gebucht, die von den Räumlichkeiten großzügig geschnitten ist und in allen Belangen optisch überzeugt. Hier kann man nichts bemängeln. Die Kritik ansonsten überwiegt aber: Es erfolgte beim Check-In kein Hinweis auf die eigene Parkgarage, die wohl im Preis bei der Suite mit inbegriffen ist. So parkt mein Auto dann unnötig unter freiem Himmel, was kein Drama ist – nur: Einen qualifizierten Hinweis hätte man beim Check-In doch geben können, vor allem, wenn die Leistung eh bezahlt ist? Berechtigte und höfliche Kritik im Service führte zu einem gleichsam überhöflichen, fast überdrehten Service, der gar nicht mehr natürlich, sondern ständig aufgesetzt wirkte. Es mag ja nett gemeint sein, dem Gast dann fortwährend die eine oder andere kostenfreie Zusatzleistung andienen zu wollen, aber wenn das einmal abgelehnt wurde, wieso muss man das laufend neu versuchen? Kritik bedeutet nicht, dass man auf Biegen und Brechen versuchen muss, durch mehrfach abgelehnte kostenfreie Leistung eine Kompensation zu erreichen. Kritik soll helfen, besser zu werden. Hier muss der Service besser werden, nicht die kostenfreie Leistung, um die es mir jedenfalls gar nicht geht. Beim Frühstück war die Grenze der Leistungsfähigkeit des Serviceteams deutlich überschritten: Es gab viele Gäste, und so kam der bestellte Kaffee nach gefühlten 20 Minuten Wartezeit mit dem Hinweis, an der Kaffeemaschine sei so viel los. Nun ja, das ist morgens keine wahre Überraschung, eine Überraschung ist nur, wenn man davon als Servicekraft überrascht wird. Man kann das Problem auch lösen, indem man eine weitere Kaffeemaschine anschafft. Dass das Buffet nur zögerlich nachgefüllt wurde, dass es laufend Leerbereiche gab und man deswegen letztlich kaum in Ruhe sein Frühstück zusammenstellen konnte, da man ständig loslaufen muss - geschenkt, es passt ins Bild eines leider mageren Services. Ein kurzer Blick auf den SPA-Bereich: nett, aber auch das geht besser. Der Ruhebereich war derart überheizt, dass uns fast die Luft zum Atmen wegblieb. Wir hatten eine SPA-Suite, wollten also dort weiter entspannen, das fanden wir sinnvoller – es bleibt nur ein Rätsel, warum es keinen einzigen SPA-Artikel in der SPA-Suite gibt: Man hat einen Whirlpool, aber nicht einen einzigen Badezusatz o.ä.. Das ist völlig sinnfrei. In der Gesamtbetrachtung könnte man zwar auch noch gerade so drei Sterne geben - mit Blick auf einen beachtlichen Gesamtpreis sind mehr als zwei Sterne aber nicht drin. Aus unserer Sicht ist die Sonne Frankenberg leider keine Empfehlung.

Quiet, cozy place, where you can stay overnight and rest peacefully. Staff is very nice. Rooms are quite big and there aren't any problems with parking or location. Also near hotel are plenty of restaurants, pubs and shops. For instance 100 meters away you can find lidl and rewe. Your best experience in Gissen.
