Best Hotels near Joce Waterfall, Mauritius

It is an ordinary bed and breakfast, and it is much worse than the photos. There is no security at the front desk. You need to contact the landlord in advance. No one will check in and check out. Every day at noon, people come to clean. The kitchen is complete, the supermarket is not far away, and the environment is very quiet in the community. Living on the first floor, the lighting is poor, and there are many bugs. Going to chase dolphins, Bird Park and Mount Mona is particularly close, and staying one night or two nights is barely ok.

This property exceeded our expectations because of the wonderful services and staff. The room #2 was directly beside a small pool that offered shaded swims after a warm day. The room itself had a fridge , microwave and a bolted room safe. It was a good size room with a workspace for us as we tidied up bus for the next few months. TV with a small variety to watch and an air. conditioner. The property offered a significant and varied breakfast including a fresh juicer for orange juice. The varied menu included items such as sweet rolls, fresh breads and occasionally crepes. The crepes my husband stated you couldn’t eat just one of with hazelnut and bananas . He enjoyed his samosa and hot sauce when they were offered. As well as breaded vegetables and crispy rolls to sit beside your choice of eggs. Those were my favourite a plain omelette unfolded to add cheese and ham or chicken slices with hot sauce, fries when they were available. With a yoghurt and fruit. Plenty of tea and coffee ti wash it down with and of course cereals for the kids. Services such as a juice upon arrival to fill out you paperwork, set the tone as our hostess discussed the tours available. We used shuttles to and from Flic en Flac beach or Cascavelle Mall were perfect for our adventure . We shopped both at Jumbo Express down on the corner at the beach area, as well as the Cascavelle Mall. We were further encouraged to jump on buses to go to Port Louis and La Morne look out or further beyond to Cao Baie. While we did not feel the need to rent a car and drive about there were many people who had taken advantage of the inexpensive rentals. This atmosphere was just what we were looking for. Chill friendly and full relaxed, We loved Flic en Flac beach that seemed to go on forever and although we came to this area to dive which was very disappointing for reef and fish. We loved everything else it offered.

I took my mother on a vacation of a lifetime in May, and after several days of travel from the western US, we finally arrived at the Sands. We were picked up from the airport and the driver was very nice and got us to the hotel, and once we walked in, we were blown away. The reception area was beautiful and the views spectacular. We were shown our room and it was spacious, and clean with great views out the balcony. As we put our items away a gentleman came to give us a Covid screening. (we laughed because he was wearing a lab coat...) We relaxed by the pool, or played in the water and the staff was always making sure we had everything we needed. The food was very good, but some things were better than others. It was fun to try new dishes that are not part of the cuisine at home. On our first evening my mother wanted wine, and Rahja was very helpful and found her one. From that evening onward, he came to talk to her each meal and made her feel like the most valued visitor there. They laughed and joked a lot. He found her a few more bottles during our stay as well! He was by far her favorite staff member. Soudesh was of great assistance to us, booking off site adventures for us, and arranging transportation. He also asked the kitchen to make me some of their banana jam to take home, as I loved it so much. We used the spa as well, and my mother got the best massage, and mine was only mediocre. The beach at the Sands is also the best along that shoreline, so it's much easier to walk on than further down as it bites into your feet a bit. What made the Sands so nice is how warm and caring the staff was. They felt like family and they seemed to really care about you and really wishing you to have a great vacation. We stayed on the opposite shore after a trip to Reunion Island, and missed that, and wished we were back at the Sands. If I am able to return to Mauritius, I would definitely pick the Sands for my stay!

This is a very racist resort. Koreans never go here. I get frustrated trying to figure out the value for money. As soon as the porter who came to pick up our luggage on the last day saw us, he said Nihao Ching-chong hahaha What did you say now, so you never said anything like that? In addition, the staff continues to engage in subtle and subtle racist behavior. Koreans who see this review, never go here. It's one of the worst accommodations I've ever been to. They have Terrible Staff. Porter who carried our luggage said to us “Nihao chinchon” when we first meet. We're shocked at that time. He denied what he said first, after we made a noise in reception, finally he admit his fault and apologize to us. We will never forget what they did to us and will tell every korean wanna go to Mauritius.

Hotel was excellent. Staff v.friendly and helpful, especially with my wife when I was in hospital having a small operation. Room was v.good and kept exceptionally clean. Brekfast were v.good. Evening dining was good but also many restaurants within walking distance if you wanted a change. Beautiful views over the sea (20m.away!) and the sunsets were great.

Amazing authentic Mauritian food experience. Great service with very friendly and attentive staff. Food was incredible and very tasty. Chef even came out to discuss some of the curries. Highly recommended for anyone that would like to try something different away from the hotels.

I've been in many many hotels in Mauritius et even in some parts of the world and this was by far the best service I've had in a very long time. It was almost too much (it's never too much 😄), Ludovic is a great butler, he was accessible at any time and did everything to help us. Many names come to my mind although i don't remember everyone: Sunny to start, great guy, great welcoming, made us feel at home. Lakshana, the best cart driver, Zainab, the best waitress, Chef Mudassir really great guy and cooked our best meal at Haiku. Globally excellent holidays, we really felt like stars coming here. Breakfast is quite rich, basically there are some, the beach is not too fine, but the scenery is good, after all, the West Coast, can not compare with the East Coast, but can watch the sunset, the view of the infinity pool is good, the hotel environment is also not bad. There are 2 kilometers around the town, go there to eat a car fare 400 rupees, per capita 500-600 can eat well, it is also cheaper than the hotel. Next is the Tucao, the hotel facilities are old, it is too old, the air conditioning sounds loud, the most unacceptable is the soundproofing, our room has a sealed door, it is estimated that other room types are transformed, the night is quiet and next door says nothing I heard that the most important thing is not clear where the sound came from, because the next day we lived next to us, and the result was a snoring sound like a big man lying next to you, then suspected to be an air conditioning duct, open The air-conditioned air conditioner was covered. To be honest, the Hilton room was really disappointing. There was no advantage in comparison with other hotels in the back. Her dedication and care made her not just a wonderful hostess but a cherished part of our experience. We rate her an emphatic 10+/10. Equally remarkable was Kailash. With his innate knack for arranging romantic breakfasts and dinners in our room, his charismatic presence as he drove us around the resort in his buggy, and his assertiveness that ensured all our needs were met, he was instrumental in making our holiday complete. His personable demeanor is a true credit to the hotel. Our appreciation extends to the room service team as well. Koomar, Veenaye, Joanne, Tarvesh, Nitesh, and Sanjeev all contributed to facilitating a seamless and unforgettable experience. Their collective attention to detail, promptness, and friendly demeanor were remarkable. However, the standout personality and the heart of the Constance Belle Mare Plage was Kris. You will find him on the beach, armed with an unbeatable selection of cocktail recommendations. His mixology skills are top-notch, and his engaging conversations coupled with a fantastic sense of humor made our beach days exceptionally memorable. Kris was not only an employee of the hotel but became a friend who enriched our stay. In summary, our experience at the Constance Belle Mare Plage was truly magical, fueled by the unwavering dedication of its staff, the beauty of its surroundings, and the exceptional level of service that made us feel like royalty. We have created unforgettable memories here, and we can’t wait to return next year. If you’re considering a trip to Mauritius, I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.
