Renaissance Montreal Downtown Hotel

I call it "The Shame of the Hotel Industry." For a true understanding of this hotel, just read my review. This hotel is a freak of the hotel industry. After one night's stay, our room was routinely cleaned. The next morning, when we left, we returned home to find no cleaning at all. I contacted the front desk, and they said they only clean our rooms every three days, performing deep cleaning like changing sheets and vacuuming. I can understand that. But the lack of new bath towels and hand towels, and the unemptied trash cans in the room and bathroom (no one was doing housekeeping at all)—who can understand that? Ctrip customer service intervened, and the hotel promised to at least change our bath towels and hand towels daily and empty our trash cans, saying they had notified housekeeping to register our request. But after a day or two, the same thing happened again: no bath towels or hand towels were changed, and no trash cans were emptied. I reported this to the front desk, and they verbally agreed, yet still no room cleaning. It wasn't until the third day that they proactively cleaned the room. Furthermore, as a family of three, we specifically chose a suite because it had a sofa bed. However, it didn't have a comforter, only a thin blanket. It was incredibly uncomfortable. When we contacted the housekeeping staff and the front desk, they told us they didn't have any extra comforters. Can you believe a hotel allocates only one comforter per room? Furthermore, the air conditioning vents were incredibly primitive. Whether you turned the AC on or off, it whirred constantly, making it impossible to sleep at night. Overall, this hotel displayed complete disregard and disrespect for its guests. The front desk and housekeeping staff were expressionless (except during check-in) and completely unhelpful. I've stayed in dozens of brand-name hotels across Asia, Europe, and America, and this is the first time I've encountered a hotel like this. I hope everyone avoids this hotel. It's truly, truly a disgrace to the hotel industry. Finally, I have to commend Ctrip's customer service team for their proactive communication with the hotel and their prompt communication of the results. However, facing a hotel like this is truly frustrating.

The location of the hotel is very convenient. The attitude of the service staff is also very good and friendly.

It was very convenient as it was in the center of town. The via Canada station was also just a short walk away. The room also had a stylish feel. Breakfast was very delicious.
