We booked this guesthouse on Trip.com in advance for our self-driving trip to the Taihang Grand Canyon during the Spring Festival. The overall experience was warm and hassle-free. The owner provides butler-style service, proactively calling to confirm our needs before our arrival and even coming to the parking lot to help with our luggage after we got there. The service was thoughtful and attentive. The guesthouse is located on the north side of Linzhou Taihang Grand Canyon, only 5 kilometers from the scenic area, making it very convenient for self-driving. There's a public parking lot about 1 kilometer south that supports EV charging, which is very friendly for self-driving tourists. I stayed in a lake-view king room, which came with a huge scenic balcony offering an expansive view directly facing the beautiful Taihang mountain scenery. The views in the morning and evening were particularly therapeutic. The only minor drawback was that the indoor space was a bit compact, and the bathroom layout was similar to an RV design – fully functional but a bit cramped. The dining experience was a big plus. Breakfast could be delivered directly to the room, with a rich variety of fresh ingredients that tasted simple yet delicious. The guesthouse also offers lunch and dinner, with authentic local flavors and good value for money. What delighted my child the most was a gentle and friendly dog living at the guesthouse, which added a lot of fun to our trip. Overall, it's a cozy guesthouse very suitable for family road trips and getting closer to nature.

The room was spacious and bright, and the food cooked by the boss was also very good! I originally wanted to go to the scenic spot, but I didn't go because I was afraid of traffic jams. Dongluyuan Hotel had been on my wishlist for a long time, and this time I finally visited the Taihang Mountains with my friends and stayed at this beautifully designed hotel. The hotel's design clearly demonstrates the designer's fusion of humanity and nature, South and North, East and West. Nestled at the foot of the Taihang Mountains, it incorporates the mountain scenery into its landscape; the ubiquitous slate is a testament to its rural roots; pavilions and flowing water cleverly blend with the southern garden style; the Western restaurant combines with the courtyard's orchard, rockery, and earthen kiln, adding a touch of European style. With such a beautiful view, I initially thought the food would be mediocre, but Dongluyuan's dining truly impressed us. Local ingredients combined with the chef's fusion cuisine skills resulted in two days of trying various dishes on the menu, all of which were delightful surprises! The Chinese restaurant was particularly outstanding! The Western restaurant also had a wonderful atmosphere; the kiln-baked pizza oven was perfectly heated, and the pizza crust was perfectly fermented—better than many chain restaurants! The service was impeccable, with attentive butler service. All our needs were met quickly, and the gentle attitude made us feel very comfortable. The room offers stunning views of the Taihang Mountains and Taihang Pavilion. If I had to make a suggestion, I'd appreciate a separate shower and toilet area in the bathroom, a humidifier for winter, and a chair and small table on the balcony – such a beautiful view would be perfect for two people to enjoy tea together. The waiter in the dining room on the third floor is very enthusiastic, the product is good, and the price is affordable. There are also many varieties of buffet breakfast. The downside is that the air conditioning control switch in the room is relatively small, and it took a long time to find it, which is not very practical.

Pear trees and fig trees are planted in the yard, and there is a large terrace. Clean and tidy. But this is a mountainous area with many mosquitoes. Zimo room: 3 large beds, there is a TV in the middle, the room is relatively large, the bed is also very big, a bed should sleep 2 people. The roof is the spire of the log, and the log on the roof has black things falling on the white sheets from time to time. The toilet is a bit small and the towels need to be improved.

The hotel has a great location, 200 meters from the popular tourist street, and parking is available. The rooms are clean, well-designed, with separate wet and dry areas and a smart toilet with heating. The owner even upgraded our room to a higher level for free because we had a retired military officer's ID. The breakfast was plentiful; a hot and delicious breakfast was perfect for the cooler weather and started our day off right. After visiting Peach Blossom Valley, we returned to the hotel around 2 PM to extend our stay. Highly recommended (5 stars).
