We stayed a week on a b&b basis as part of a Jet2 package holiday. The hotel is 4-star, modern and very convenient for the centre of Torbole - it's also close to the local bus stops and a short walk to the pier for lake steamers. The hotel is maybe not the prettiest from the outside but inside, the public areas and the rooms are attractive, modern and spotlessly clean. There's a terrace, garden and small swimming pool. The breakfast buffet was very comprehensive and delicious. Finally, the hotel staff were great - so friendly and helpful. Don't be put off by the hotel's use of the name ”Caravel Bike Hotel” - it's drawing on the big interest in cycling in the area, with loads of bike rental places nearby. The hotel caters very well for non-cyclists too - we would fully recommend it.!

A place where everything concurs to make you feel at home, and make you feel good!You are greeted with a smile, from breakfast to aperitif, you can get advice on how to spend the day and what sport activity to do with contacts to the best bike service providers and all possible sports activities on the lake.

I went to riva for a meeting. There are not many facilities in this hotel. Some dead spots are not clean, but the price is very cheap. There is also a refrigerator, WiFi and balcony. It must be justified to live. In short, it is not a thunder, if you have to go to riva and don't want to spend too much money, this is a good choice. The bed is quite comfortable

The back door of the hotel is Garda Lake, where you can swim and windsurf, and there is a windsurfing school in the hotel. The breakfast is fairly plentiful in Europe, and the service is in line with the high standards of northern Italy. The styles of the rooms in the new building and the old building are quite different. The hotel is like a big park, with good plant landscape design. The only problem is that pets are allowed in the hotel. Many people stay with dogs and they will urinate everywhere. Although individuals also love dogs, they are also worried about the indoor and outdoor hygiene of the hotel...

Just home from a lovely week spent in Astoria Resort. The hotel itself is pretty fresh and modern. The grounds around the hotel are so beautifully maintained. The rooms and bathrooms are basic and could really do with renewing the floor and cupboards. However, the bed is really comfortable, the pillows are too, and the air conditioning works well. The cleaners come in every day and fresh towels every day. The breakfast provided is really great- so much choice and complimentary Prosecco available too. You can have a coffee anyway you want, make your own smoothies and also fresh crepes and omelettes made on demand. The only downfall of breakfast is that we struggled most days to get an available table. We had to queue a couple of times and people would just ignore the queue and walk on in and claim a table. Needs a better system for seating people on busy days. The staff working in the hotel- front desk, bar, breakfast and the cleaners are so friendly, professional and welcoming, unfortunately the staff who work around the pool and at the pool snack bar both male and female have none of these qualities- they are rude, dismissive and we had to ask multiple times for our orders after we had placed them as they just seemed to forget. The staff at the pool/pool bar are the main reason for the 4/5 score and not a 5/5 score. Overall we really enjoyed our stay at Astoria and would recommend it. It’s about a 15/18 minute flat walk to the lakefront. Riva del Garda is a beautiful part of the lake. We will defo be back.

We were attempting to get back to our hotel by using a web based mapping tool. It kept telling us to turn right, even when there was no option to do so. My mum is in a wheelchair, neither of us are spring chickens. After overheating and becoming more and more lost we decided to go to the Hoody hotel to ask if they would call us a cab. Isia greeted us with a friendly smile and could instantly tell that we were dehydrated. He gave us both water and a place to rest. He allowed us to use the restroom facilities and whilst I was in there, he got a map and showed mum where we were and the route we needed to get back to our hotel. Unfortunately there were no cabs available but with his careful guide we were able to follow the map and arrived safely back to our destination. He even gave us the phone number for his hotel and said if we were to get lost again to call him and he would direct us to the the best of his ability- Talk about going above and beyond. A real angel that helped 2 ladies in distress. He is the very blueprint of what front of house staff should be like. It is good to start from where you left. The property keeps delivering, consistently. Excellent breakfast, good restaurant, great bartender (follow his recommendations, you will love them), unsurpassed location just outside the A22 motorway. All what you need from the hotel is right there. Keep it up the good work.

We spent a few days at the B&B Hotel Affi Lago Di Garda this week and I have mixed feelings about the place. The staff were excellent. They worked very hard to understand and be understood and were extremely helpful. The Room The room was a good size with high ceilings and a large window. The bed and pillows were excellent. The bathroom included a bath, very good shower and bidet. Everything was clean and in great condition. There was a safe and a small fridge in the wardrobe, a desk, chair and stool. On the downside, there are no coffee/tea making facilities in the room, and we had to ask at reception for two (plastic) glasses so we had something do drink from. The aircon system in the room unfortunately wouldn't turn down and would only pump out heat. The temperature got as high as 30C so we had to sleep with the windows opened to be comfortable. The room also only came with a single toilet roll, which caused a rushed and embarrasing trip in the lift to get another from reception. Facilities This is a basic hotel offering the minimum of facilities, but at the price it's what you would expect. There is a seating area in reception and tables outside, which we saw a few other guests using. In reception there are fridges selling water, soda and alcoholic drinks at reasonable prices and some shelves of basics like biscuits and deoderant, which you pay for at reception. The staff are happy to order taxis and add breakfast to your booking if you haven't included it already. Breakfast Terrible. The breakfast room is large and the staff member working in there was very efficient, but the food is absolutely awful. The only hot food on offer at breakfast is chopped-up hotdog sausages and scrambled egg. As for the rest, there is off-brand breakfast cereal, bread, cheap local ham, cheese and some fruit. This is not a good selection at all and leaves you feeling inadequately set up for the day, especially from a hotel that has the word 'breakfast' right there in its name. In the dining room there is also a machine offering fruit juice and a very good coffee machine. Lastly: The hotel is NOT on Lake Garda. You cannot see the lake from the hotel. It is a 20 minute, €45 taxi ride from the lake. If you want to get to somewhere beautiful like Sirmione, then the cab will cost you a minimum of €80, each way. Taxis generally are EXTREMELY expensive, and for a hotel as far away from the airport as this one is, they can affect the whole holiday negatively.
