Welcomed right from the get go even though our room wasn't quite ready! The staff were incredibly kind. Honestly, finding an affordable accommodation in Nara at this good of a location does not come easy, and so if you're traveling on a budget this is an excellent option. Room was very clean, air conditioning worked very well on those hot summer days, we were in the budget room but it was still decently comfortable and spacious for two people. Definitely would recommend.
Hotel OBANA

The room was obviously suitable for 3 people, but one of the single beds was removed, despite still having three sets of cups, toothbrushes and so on. The bathroom was the smallest I have ever seen and the water pressure in the shower was not very good. However, hot drinks are served in the lobby, which also offers a foot massager, the New York Times and the English version of the Japanese daily. Breakfast is served in a comfortable small basement with reasonable choice of Japanese and Western food. Front desk staff is very helpful. If the room is for three people, the luggage for three people will be very crowded, but we only have two people to stay overnight, and only two people have luggage.
Ryokan Asukasou at the Entrancne of Nara Park

I stayed at the 3 generation including my grandson. It was an inn near my home, and if there was no Nara Prefectural citizenship, there was no chance to stay. The parking lot is narrow, so it is a style to park at the entrance and leave the key. After the reception at the front desk, you will be guided to the room and you can provide tea in the room, which is an old-fashioned customer service. Although the entire building is undeniably aging, there was a sense of security because it was well maintained, cleaned, and corona measures. The room was a large room with the next room, but the five-storied pagoda of Kofukuji was a room in the direction where I couldn't see it. The bath has a large communal bath and an open-air bath on the same floor, but it was a pity that I had to change clothes and enter again. I used it properly as a large communal bath before dinner and an open-air bath before going to bed. It was an artificial hot spring, so it was quite a spring quality. Dinner was served in a private room with consideration for my grandchildren, but it was simple but delicately seasoned and was top class in Nara inn. Breakfast was also very delicious. The landlady was well supervised by the employees from check-in to check-out, and everyone's manners were wonderful. At dinner, we were waiting at the entrance, and at breakfast, we were 々 for employees with great consideration to guide us ahead of the elevator. There is no accommodation, and dinner is possible, and it is a revisit.
Nara Guesthouse Kamunabi

I stayed to take a picture of the scenery of Nara in the morning because I was worried about the atmosphere that the appearance produced before. Two young men who were friendly were at the front and bar space, and it was a very pleasant response. Only meals were provided, and 々 foreigners living in Nara were used as part of Kendo or some training. The bath is a spacious bathroom with a bathtub and 2 places only for showers. After bathing, read while drinking free coffee in a shared space where you can see the garden. I enjoyed the conversation with those who were guided by cycling tours from Australia. I thought I would continue reading after I stayed in the dormitory, but I wanted to drink in a retro bar space, and I was 3 minutes before the end of the service at 22 o'clock, but I was very kind to make a water split. Sleep comfortably. The next morning I checked out without eating, but the gentle response of the male staff was really pleasant and talked about Nara, which was fun again. There is no chance, but it is an inn that I wanted to go to stay again. I think I'll go to eat only.

Right next to Nara Park. Just separated by a railing. A reminder for those who want to go to the park to see deer, just walk along the path beside the park on the right side after exiting the hotel. We followed the navigation and walked around and found that we were walking back to the path in front of the hotel, haha. It's quite far from the subway station on foot.

When you arrive in touristic Nara, you go up to Kasuga Taisha to continue the path through the woods. And there it is... a hidden gem! Lost in the middle of nature, small cottages linked by a path traced in the forest and outside blend into the forest... It is a unique, sublime, almost unreal place.... The room has large windows overlooking nature. It is the most peacful place we stayed in Japan No wifi, no TV... just you and the nature The private bathroom was a great experience. The food was exceptional! We would like to thank the staff who was really nice and helpful. They made our stay even more magical. We were feeling like home.
