Hotels near Riverwood Drive Reserve in Nerang

The manager and staff are very kind and friendly. Everything looks brand new and perfectly clean. The room is amazing and so comfortable and quiet at night. The bed and pillows are wonderful and as comfortable as some 5* hotels I’ve stayed in. Such great value for money and a great place to stay and explore the Gold Coast from - especially the theme parks which are just a few minutes drive away. The food in the restaurant downstairs was super yummy last night and excellent value. The hotel is covid safe and called to check I wasn’t traveling from any hotspots in advance of my stay, which made us feel safe. Just perfect - we are very happy guests!

On the 14.3.23 at 1.25 pm my adult son and I visited the Hinterland Hotel for lunch as it was a busy day for us, we approached the counter and the mature aged blond was serving a patron first and we kindly waited, whilst the woman was pouring the beers she asked what did I want, I asked, ”Is this where we order lunch?” she replied, ”No, use the paddy app on the tables.” I said, ” I have a government phone that does not accept these apps.” She then replied, ”Use his!”. I nicely said ” My son has a vintage Nokia and that wont work.” The woman said abruptly, ”It works on all phones!” ”Can you please give me a paper menu,” I asked, ”NO PAPER MENU'S” was the stern reply... The other patron looked at us in disbelief. We felt discriminated against and we left as though we were won't welcome there. I have lived at Springbrook Mountain since 1977 and will never go back to this establishment ever again. P.S. Do you need an App to play the Poker machines out the back?

The picture does not match the reality, the picture looks like the hotel is very high, is able to see the sea or the city, but in fact the highest only 7 floors. The most important thing is that at 12 o'clock in the middle of the night, was called up by the fire alarm, panicked and ran downstairs, and finally the hotel checked and found that there was no problem, the hotel did not have any compensation, not even an apology! Worst without one.

After booking a room for 1 night initially, we made a booking for an additional night both via Expedia. The recent reviews on here had me worried as they were much more positive when I made and paid for the booking. Parking - currently free but the hotel provide no detailed instructions on booking etc so I can see why people get frustrated. Thankfully a review on here gave us some tips to make our arrival smooth. I would recommend parking in tower 1 on levels 3, 3M or 4. These floors provide direct lift access to the hotel. Look for gold lifts - these indicate your attached to the hotel. Check in - the girl checking us on (Sara I think) was nice but the hotels booking system didn’t link that there were 2 separate bookings for the same person. The hotel didn’t offer us the lower standard room for the 2 nights so that we didn’t have to move. We opted to pay an additional $60 to stay in the better room for the 2 nights. Pool - is as nice as the photos although some of the cabana cushions are filthy. It is mildly heated and there were no towels, only the ones provided in your room. After house keeping we had 2 taken and only 1 replaced which made it hard to use the pool again. Food - we used Uber eats one night and ate at Harvest Buffet in the ****** on the other. The Harvest Buffet was good. We didn’t eat breakfasts at the hotel. Room - the lounge needs to go, there is no room for it and an additional luggage rack would be more practical as storage is lacking. The room would benefit from a spare pillow and blanket like nearly every other hotel we have stayed in. There are no robes or slippers provided. Gym - the gym was ok however the cable machine was broken, there were no kettlebells or spin bike. Access is via the ****** and in to another lift. Check out - we didn’t bother returning to reception, at 8am we were woken by a drill in the adjoining room/wall to us. Very unpleasant when you have an 11am check out. If we were told about the short maintenance work we wouldn’t have minded but we expect more of a hotel that is part of the Star. Would we stay again? No, it’s not the level we have come to expect as guests of the Star in Sydney.

My family and I stayed here in September and was as wonderful as it looked like in the advertising. 3 large spacious , heated pools and spa , kids club, playground, jumping pillow, pedal bikes, outdoor movies and bistro. The hosts were friendly and accommodating. We had the Pandanus Villa and it was modern, spacious and quiet. We got the special deal which included meals and some drinks and free use of the kids club and equipment which was amazing value. Location wise its off the beach and on a busy road but dont let that put you off. Very quiet and 20 minute walk to The Spit and Broadwater and Parklands. Harbour Town is right across the road for all your shopping needs and extra dining. Brillantly located for theme parks with just a 10 minute drive to them. Bus right out the front which connects with the tram in Southport. I cant fault this place at all. We will definitely be back.

Very new and clean, The room is big and spacious, the environment is very elegant, there is a heated swimming pool, children's water slide°Like an independent small villa, will not interfere with each other. Very close to several parks, suitable for self-driving °

Great resort !! My partner and I had a lovely time and enjoyed using the pool and spa while weather permitted. Staff were incredibly kind and accomodating throughout our stay.

When you go to this hotel, remember its age and be fair with your expectations. Unfortunately, I was encouraged to read other reviews so had a preconception on arrival. Driveway is a bit tight but fair and direct, front desk easy to find and approach, car park still joins the building maybe a little hard to carry luggage through to lift, suggest leave with someone when checking in while you park your car. Lifts quite fast, corridors don't smell, entry clean and tidy to room. Yes, room isn't brand new but an attempt to paint and make clean is visible, couple chips here and there, but whatever, balcony and view is great, we were on the 20th floor, lacking a few creature comforts, but it is a hotel room! bathroom bit dated, but clean, couple wear and tear things, but again think how much you are paying. All in all, a pleasant stay, so go and be open minded, plenty of 5–6-star establishments around if you want top end places.

Just stayed at Sky Island Studios to celebrate my birthday and could not have asked for a better experience. I was met by Jessica upon arrival, who made both myself and my wife feel very welcome. The cake in the fridge and message on blackboard was a delight! The cabins are beautiful - was wonderful to wake up to the sounds of birds while watching sunrise in the morning. Breakfast on the deck was spectacular - and the banana choc smoothie was just the right way to start the day! Huge thanks to Jessica and Albert for their hospitality and look forward to visiting again.

Great Location , appar**ent with Full Service with all what you expect in an appar**ent , Views Lounge , Kitchen , Washing Area everything was superb , 10/10 👌
