Hotels in Shenkeng Old Street, New Taipei City

We came to Taiwan from Suzhou to visit relatives and travel. We booked this hotel because we were going to take our children to Taipei Zoo the next day. To be honest, as people who have not stayed in many hotels in Taiwan, we are really not used to it. Disposable items are not provided in the bathroom, and you need to bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste. The shower gel and shampoo in the shower room are two-in-one, and there is no conditioner. It feels lonely to wash your hair. Bottled water is not provided in the room. There is a kettle in the room, and you need to go to the water dispenser in the hotel corridor to get water. The hotel breakfast is really average. The breakfast of hotels in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai with a price of 1200+ can beat this one. The auntie in the breakfast room is still standing next to your table waiting to collect the plate, giving people the feeling that she wants you to finish eating quickly so that she can go off work 🌝🌝anyway, the room is clean and quiet, and it is a perfect stay without any other particularly unpleasant things. It is more important to be happy when you go out.

Business travel relationships choose the Gulf Xiaoqi is next door, which is very convenient The bed and pillows were so good that I almost couldn't get out of bed. The bathtub is also very comfortable. It's a pity that the water pressure is a little low. The hot water doesn't come out immediately, but that's not to be underestimated. A supposedly 4 star hotel that delivers the bare minimum. Nothing to shout about, had an unobjectionable stay here in January this year and was happy with the location and relatively clean room so decided to book again for 5 nights for my recent trip. Regretted my decision as I felt that the service was lackluster. Upon entering the room we saw that the double bed was made up by 2 twin beds unlike our initial experience so we approached the front desk to enquire if a change was possible as we do not like the feel of the gap between the beds and the light switches were behind our pillows making the lights on/off if we were to even lightly lean on the headboard. The answer we got was that we should have indicated that request upon check in and it is a common process for hotels to join 2 twin beds and sell them as a double room. The front desk manager also said the check in rate was 98% that night. We then asked if we could have a change the next day and the reply was to come down and check again tmr. No effort to assist and instead all we felt was him trying the shift the blame to us when all we requested was a double bed when it is available. That left an extremely sour taste in our mouth. The next morning, I woke up with red bites on my arms, legs and torso, however my partner didn't had any so I did not relate it to the cleanliness of the room. The next 2 morning remained to be the same and we requested a change of room which we were given. The itchiness subsided after the change. The staff also passed a cream for itchness to me. But she mentioned it may be mosquito bites which I can tell it isn't as they are in clusters. Location was convenient for us as it is near the banqiao transfer station and there are food choices around the hotel as well as a few family marts.

Have been to Taipei many times and previously been staying near Taipei main station. It was my first stay around Banqiao and first at this hotel. While definitely not as convenient a location relative to the main station, it was still quite a short MRT ride to popular tourist spots like ximending. The room was huge, clean and comfortable. The rooftop swimming pool was also nice and not crowded. All in all an excellent hotel that i would recommend and likely book when i visit Taipei again.

Hotel is clean and the staff are friendly. They do offer underground parking and you will get a token that needs to be check at the lobby counter every time before you head out. We enjoyed the swim pool and it provides nice view of the city.

Temporary looking for a hotel to stay, the price is not bad, the service is very good The environment is very clean and parking is convenient. It is super convenient from the city. Next time. I will choose this room for my stay. Awesome.

1. The counter response training was insufficient. Due to his own negligence, he was unable to find the passenger's booking information (all available information was provided to the counter). When he finally found it, he kept explaining that it was because the passenger's information was provided incorrectly, which is extremely ridiculous; 2. The room facilities are old and the bed is hard; 3. There are some hairs on the bed and bathroom and the TV remote control feels like it has not been wiped for a long time; 4. The location is very good. It is only a 5-minute walk from Banqiao Station and there is a bus stop downstairs. It is very convenient to go anywhere.

The room is a bit old, the shower water flow is very weak, the air conditioner will get cold if it is turned on for a long time, the sound insulation is also poor, and the bed is very hard. Fortunately, the staff is very polite, and the price would be better if it were cheaper.

Second time staying here, in general it was a good stay. Good location, near MRT, lots of food options and got a convenience store right across the hotel. The room is spacious, outdated design but still comfortable. The lighting is dark I would say for both aisle and the room. Staffs are friendly and welcoming.
