"This hotel just opened in '26 and is very convenient for getting to both the train station and the airport. The room is quite spacious, the toilet flushes automatically, and the wet/dry separation is very practical. The breakfast is also plentiful. I'd suggest the hotel install a clothesline inside the shower area. That way, guests who wash their clothes would have a place to hang them, as the existing clothes rod in the room is meant for dirty clothes."
"This is truly a great hotel, highly recommended! It's a new hotel with an excellent location, directly connected to a mall, which is very convenient. The room layout is fantastic, especially the bathroom, and there's even a separate vanity table with plenty of counter space, perfect for organizing your belongings. The hotel is clean and the overall service is great, particularly the front desk which is very responsive. The only minor drawback is the reception staff in the ground floor lobby; they could improve their service awareness, perhaps by proactively offering to help guests with their luggage. The 1.5-meter twin beds are ideal for families with older children."
"The overall experience of this hotel I stayed in was not bad. The hotel facilities are relatively complete, basically meeting the daily needs of the guests. The service is also OK, the staff is more enthusiastic, and there is a problem: timely response. The surrounding environment is also OK, there are many places to eat and entertain. The sanitary condition is also good, the room is cleaned. Overall, it is a satisfactory stay experience"
"Very clean! A newly opened guesthouse in a quiet village. The service was excellent! They offer free shuttle service and breakfast at 7 am. If you're going out early, the staff will start breakfast a little earlier. The side dishes were all very refreshing. I especially liked the tofu with toon sprouts; the blanched toon sprouts didn't have any strong flavor, just a very refreshing taste. I stayed two nights and was very satisfied!"
"The guesthouse was fantastic! The atmosphere was great, the environment was clean and hygienic, and very charming. A card was required to enter, which felt very safe. The rooms were fully equipped, and there was plenty of hot water. The guesthouse offered a shared kitchen, which was very convenient for those with cars. Parking was available in front of the door, which was also very convenient. The owner was very welcoming and attentive."
"If you're traveling to Linfen, Shanxi, I genuinely recommend Gu Cheng Da Yuan. It's not a hotel in the usual sense; it's more like staying in a living piece of history.
The moment you push open the heavy wooden door, the city's hustle and bustle are shut out. It's a genuine old house, not some 'faux-ancient' style.
🛏️ The stay was more comfortable than I expected. The room was spacious, antique in style, but not at all dark.
✔ Underfloor heating + central air conditioning throughout, so no fear of the cold in winter.
✔ Turn on the projector and binge-watching shows in bed at night was incredibly satisfying 📽️.
✔ Welcome fruit, tea, coffee, cocktails 🍹, and afternoon tea 🫖 were all prepared.
✔ 24-hour butler service, always responsive.
✔ Takeout can be delivered directly to the room – super friendly for lazy people.
🥟 The attention to detail was a real bonus. On the Winter Solstice, I actually got to eat dumplings handmade by the hotel, and I suddenly felt 'cared for'. The breakfast menu changes daily, so you don't get tired of it.
💆♀️ This was a truly relaxing, 'lie-flat' vacation. This time, I also tried the newly introduced sound bowl healing at the hotel, which made me so relaxed I didn't want to talk throughout the session. Even if I didn't leave all day, just soaking up the sun, reading, and daydreaming in the courtyard felt completely worth it.
📸 Every corner is picture-perfect. Carved window lattices, grey brick corridors – every spot is Instagrammable.
If you're looking for a trip where you don't have to rush your itinerary or exert yourself, but simply want to stay somewhere excellent and peaceful, then Gu Cheng Da Yuan is truly a place to just lie back and relax 🤎.

"Going to Hukou Waterfall to go back to live at night, more cost-effective than the hotel in the county, the room is large, the facilities are very new and complete, and the service attitude is very good. It is convenient to eat nearby and there is a hot pot restaurant with good food. It is also close to the Linyi Museum."
"The computer configuration is full, the high-brush display is smooth and smooth, the frame cannot be dropped at all when the black is turned on, and the game experience is full. The front desk service is very good, the room is very clean, the bedding is dry and odorless, the bathroom is separated from wet and dry, and the living is very comfortable."
