The location is not in city center of Chicago, but close to department store and highway. Which make it easier to find food and to go around. Staff also nice and helpful

Celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. We had reservations in a nearby restaurant and wanted to be close. Overall, the hotel stay was fine. Quiet and mostly clean. There was a bit of dried up food on the TV stand that I wiped down myself. The lady at the front desk was very accommodating but came off a bit “cold” as if helping me was a chore. The Starbucks lady(staff) was overwhelmed. She was the only person taking orders and ringing up customers. I wish that everyone can simply be kind and cordial or choose not to work in customer service.

They say it's an old building, but it's very clean. Cleanliness was also good And the staff are very friendly. In particular, Starbucks on the first floor opens at 6 a.m. The meal replacement menu is varied and very good.

Very limited amenities (no on site full service restaurant, Starbucks has limited hours). Old rooms. HVAC system didn’t work. Flat pillows.

I’ve stayed at numerous properties in Oakbrook and this is my far my favorite for the money. It’s a solid hotel.

The bed was extremely comfortable. Although the lobby was very nice and updated the rooms are in desperate need of an update.

On the plus side, all but one of the 8 or more members of the staff with whom I interacted were courteous, helpful, well-informed and accommodating. The room was clean, as one would expect from a Marriott. The location was excellent, across the street from the Oakbrook Mall and near many restaurants, services and stores, including a Costco. On the negative side, on-going construction work made repeated loud, jarring interruptions to phone and in-person conversations. I had packed my swimsuit, but the swimming pool is permanently closed. The hotel does not divulge in advance that it does not provide free internet connectivity; rather, they charge a minimum of $14.95/night for even limited internet access unless the guest is a member of Marriott's Bonvoy Club. The so-called "business center" where one can, in theory, use the internet "for free"--and print off such items as boarding passes--consists of part of one raised counter on which sit two PCs and beneath them, a printer. Use of these either costs money or requires signing up with a third party supplier eager to grab a guest's credit card number and/or identifying information. This "business center" is in the middle of the main lobby, squatting just ten feet in front of the front desk (itself merely 3 or so stations beside which 1 or 2 people (if the guest is lucky) are standing. The main lobby is underwhelming, to put it kindly. The room itself had no working coffeemaker, no microwave, no fridge and so on. Sad.

The only thing that would improve the room would be to add USB plug ins to power devices.

Property could use a lot of updates. Stayed at much nicer hotels for far less money.

For the price, pretty disappointing. The rooms are dated and the bed is horribly uncomfortable (king room). The bathroom (Toilet/Shower) is so small you need to practically stand on the toilet to shut the door. Shower dripped all night. Housekeeping knocked at 7:45 to start cleaning our room on check out day, even though we had til 11:00 which was annoying. First room we were sent to had a horrible order and a large mechanical device in the room (some sort of heater to dry something maybe??) So had to go back down and get another room. Overall, was expecting more out of a Marriott in Oakbrook. Felt more like a 3 star in a less prominent area.
