Even Hotel Orlando International Airport

This is a very new, beautiful hotel with fresh rooms and a surprisingly good restaurant in the lobby. Free parking and excellent location near MCO (4 minutes drive). Outstanding value. Jo Ann needs help at the front desk (she was fighting with her computer).

YOU CAN NOT USE YOUR IGH POINTS HERE!! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE. After traveling 13 hours we arrived at the hotel that we booked on the IGH app using our points. When we arrived at the hotel they could not locate our reservation number. I was able to chat with Hya on the app who could see the reservation and verify it and said she was going to call the hotel and a manager would reach out ~ but that never happened!! Anthony at the front desk told Hya they could not find my reservation, even though Hya could, & they would have to get IT involved. I thought surely they will get this sorted out before we leave in the morning. WRONG AGAIN!!! We were charged $217.00 for a room that was advertised as $94.00 on the app. RUN FROM THIS HOTEL and IGH Brand if this is how they are going to conduct business. Not only am I out an extra $123.00 for the overpriced room but I also lost over 15,000 points for the room that was booked on the app. and the points were never returned to me like they said they would. I WAS DOUBLE CHARGED!!!! THIEFS!!!

I am giving a 5, but it's really a 4.5+ with some minor issues as a brand new hotel. This was my 1st ever stay at the IHG Even brand. I needed 1 night to complete 2 IHG promotions and chose this for the location (within 10 miles from my house), the price, and the free parking (that many hotels near the airport no longer have?). We stayed on Sunday night, 27 July 2025, and arrived mid-afternoon. We were warmly welcomed by Anthony, who explained some of the features of the Even brand. I had booked a standard room, which was only about $20 less than their most expensive rooms, and received an upgrade to one of these Premium rooms, #405. According to the app, the room had shower/tub combo, but in reality, there was just the shower! No problem. I didn't use the exercise equipment on the wall by the window but might have tried out the spin bike had we received one of those Premium rooms. Everything in the hotel looked and even smelled clean and fresh! The elevator required a key card swipe going up to the room so a little extra security. The hotel is the 1st building on Frontage (McCoy) Road on the Conway end. The next property east is a long-term parking place a mile away. I always thought this area was too swampy to build on, but I guess not. Our room was on the back side facing north to a very densely wooded area. There was a patio on the ground floor near the elevators, but I didn't try out to test the mosquitoes and more! Upon entering the room, I noticed that a key card was required in the slot by the door to activate the electricity in the room; this is a very European touch and something I don't think I've ever seen in the US? It was very efficient with a German-like vibe! The room had a king-sized bed, which was very comfortable. There was TV, desk, Keurig coffee station, and plenty of room for hanging clothes and more. The bathroom had a nice sink area, a toilet, of course, and the aforementioned shower. The amenities were plant based Apotheke from Brooklyn and in squeeze bottles as is now the norm. One of the quirky things about the room was the backwards chaise lounge. The one in our room was for a room with the mirror image set-up. The joined 2 back parts need to be in the corner. Our bed and the chaise lounge were correctly facing the TV but on the east wall of the north facing room, but the one in #405 needs to be on the west wall of a north facing room or the east wall of a south facing room (see pic). They probably can just switch one that is backwards in one of these 2 types of rooms and remedy the problem! In conclusion, all was great but they're still in the "learning curve" phase, especially breakfast. I receive complimentary breakfast as one of my welcome amenity choices as an IHG Diamond-level guest.
