Hotel Maison Hamelin Paris - Handwritten Collection

I recently stayed at this hotel, and while the facilities were comfortable and the decor was lovely, I was not happy with the overall experience. Despite the inviting ambiance, the staff didn’t make any effort to make guests feel special or valued. An unfortunate incident further marred my stay – my pajamas, which I had left in the bathroom, went missing. Additionally, the fridge in the room wasn’t working, there was no minibar, and closet space was limited, making it difficult to store our belongings. It’s a shame because the place itself has potential.

The hotel is at a great location and all the amenities are of high quality. We took the deluxe room with balcony and the view was outstanding. This is where the good part ends. The hotel manager is very rude and his tone will feel intimidating. And being a tourist, hospitality and service are the most important things. I asked for nearby breakfast spots and the staff said we don’t know what will be open given its holiday season. The response instead could have been we suggest you go to Champs Elysees for your best bet at good breakfast spots. There is a difference between a no and providing a solution. They definitely need to learn this. On this, when complained they never responded back on my email instead called and spoke rudely. The manager made me wait for 5 mins for an answer while he was on a phone call, and I know it was intentional. Lastly, I had asked them to settle my bill using my accor points. To which they said that points can only be redeemed once. I have stayed at 10s of accor hotels and always used my points to settle the final bill. I was ok since I thought it’s a new hotel and they might still be needing a training on point redemption. Again, what got to me was their lie to say that I had asked for this after making the final payment. Say it cant be done with a valid reason but don’t lie. Hope they work on the basics for the hotel to succeed, otherwise it will succumb to poor service.
