GGuest UserThe room is warm and comfortable. There is a large living room for rest and chatting. The kitchen has bread, cereal, milk and fruit, so you can DIY your own breakfast. The landlord is very enthusiastic to introduce the room. There is a beautiful small garden.

AAnonymous UserThe facilities are basic, but it's relatively tidy and clean, typical of a standard motel. The reception closes quite early, so if you're arriving late, remember your key will be under the doormat. I managed to capture the Gemini constellation with my phone on the beach around 10 pm, which was very satisfying. The acai bowl at the nearby Rawr Bar cafe was delicious. Sitting outside on a sunny morning, slowly enjoying breakfast and coffee, then strolling on the large beachfront lawn before driving off to find koalas – it was perfect.

The amenities, by contrast, were excellent: Two well appointed kichens with nice pans and plenty of space; A roof area and multiple living room areas; an herb garden and plenty of recycling areas; and the games and TV area looked brand new and not old and worn out . The kids enjoyed it and so did we. Highly recommended.

The sofa bed needed to be made up by ourselves, and there was no duvet, only one blanket provided, with another blanket in the closet, which was generally sufficient. There was parking available in the yard. For the second-floor room, luggage had to be carried up an outdoor staircase. My friend stayed in a first-floor room with a queen-sized bed and a 0.9m bed. Their balcony opened directly onto the roadside, which felt a bit unsafe. A common characteristic of motels along the Great Ocean Road is the lack of curtains, with roller blinds used instead, which aren't great for blocking out light. Our room had an induction cooker and pots, but my friend's room didn't. At nearly 1500, it was also the most expensive accommodation on our Great Ocean Road trip.

NNanqudafupoThe hygiene was great, and the room was spacious. However, the shower in the bathroom was too small, and the showerhead was very inconvenient to use. Parking was abundant and easy to find, and the little courtyard was lovely. It's very close to the beach, so you can go stargazing after dark. When our check-in was delayed, a quick phone call resolved it easily.

OoliviachenzwWe are a family of 8, and we rented the entire unit, both downstairs and upstairs, for our stay. The weather was cold during our visit, but the beds were equipped with heaters, which made for a very comfortable night’s sleep.
Each floor has its own bathroom and kitchen, which was incredibly convenient for our large group. The bathrooms came with basic toiletries, although there was no toothpaste provided, so be sure to bring your own. The kitchens were well-equipped and functional, with simple seasonings like salt and pepper. We brought our own cooking oil, but everything else was perfect for preparing warm meals for dinner and breakfast.
The homestay is located in Marengo. One thing to note is that there are no supermarkets in Marengo itself, but Apollo Bay is just a few minutes' drive away. We recommend stocking up on groceries there before arriving if you plan to cook during your stay.
Parking was more than sufficient for our Kia Carnival 8-seater, so we had no trouble with that.
The area is wonderfully quiet, making it perfect for a relaxing, peaceful getaway. We had a truly pleasant stay here and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a spacious and comfortable place to stay.

GGuest UserPleasantly surprised by the great location and room with sea view and a parking spot. Apollo Bay itself also has a charming appeal with its sea, carnival, and a nice brewery. I was well-assisted despite the language barrier. Highly recommended!

GGuest UserWe have stayed only for a night. We arrived outside check in hours so our key was left for us to find. The room was clean, decent and amenities were as advertised. However keep in mind that the bed was moving and a bit uncomfortable. We couldn’t sleep much. If you are looking for a good bed or need one, keep in mind.

SSisixiongApollo Bay is the town where our family stayed the longest on this self-driving Great Ocean Road trip. Our family of five, two adults and three children, stayed in this cabin for three nights in a row. In addition to the beautiful scenery nearby, the most important thing is that it provides bicycles, boats, fishing rods, golf clubs, etc., and you can go to nearby courses. , play at the beach, we have fun every day! The owner Amanda and a friend of hers are taking care of these cabins. They are very nice people and can provide a lot of help to guests. For those of us living in domestic cities, burning wood in the fireplace to keep warm is a very interesting experience!
