A hidden gem hotel, highly recommended! The location is not far from the scenic area entrance and the county town, especially convenient by car. The desert is right outside the room, less crowded and with beautiful scenery. The owner was very kind and upgraded us to a room with a 180° view. You can climb the sand dunes and go sandboarding. After 8 pm, the desert cools down, and the sunset light and shadow are beautiful, perfect for taking photos. We saw a perfect sunset and orange afterglow from the tent entrance. If you don't want to move around, you can lie in bed, open the tent flap, and leisurely waste a day. The breakfast is delicious, but the dinner, at 100 RMB per person, is just average and not great value, though it looks very nice in photos. By the way, dinner only had naan (a type of steamed bun), no rice, which isn't very friendly to people from the south; I suggest adding a rice option. Overall, satisfied, the kids said they want to come back!

The weather here in Shanshan is very dry. It is really considerate. A small refrigerator was also added. Very good. The comfort of the bed is also higher. The facilities are brand new, and the hotel is very clean! We were given watermelons upon check-in, and the front desk lady was incredibly friendly and available 24 hours a day! We checked in late at night and were completely comfortable. The hotel is surrounded by a plethora of amenities, including restaurants and a mahjong parlor. The night market is nearby, and there's a barber shop if you don't want to wash your hair. It was a truly worthwhile night in Xinjiang, and the price was incredibly reasonable. If I hadn't been short on time, I would have stayed longer. I'll definitely be back next time!
