AAnonymous UserWe arrived a little later and had already checked in, but the aunt was very good and was still waiting for us, and the hotel environment was very good, there was a kitchen, a lounge, and free parking. Staying here in the morning, you can see the mountains and lakes, very good. When you come, it is recommended to buy some food in the supermarket on the road. It is not convenient to buy food here.

GGuest UserA truly beautiful, old castle hotel situated on a beautiful lake. The shower took a little getting used to, but everything was clean and well-maintained.
The staff was very friendly and attentive.
Perfect for a stopover in the Highlands. Without a car, however, there's not much to do nearby. The hotel restaurant is therefore always very busy. But the food was delicious.

LLloyd88Really perfect location, even if you don't go to Ben Nevis there looks to be so much to do and explore around here in terms of walking/biiking/running trails and the ski lift which takes people up to the Nevis range.
All of the front desk staff we spoke to were very friendly and pleasant but there wasnt much we needed help with. I think the room and the hotel itself could do with having some more facilities/amenities due to the premium price we had to pay but apart from that everything that is there was satisfactory but bare minimum.
The cafe breakfast food was nice but the staff there were a little cold, that was the only real down point.
Overall it was a pleasant stay, it was easy to get here by taxi and easy to get to the Ben Nevis visitor centre by taxi but make sure you book ahead and go early.

何何The check-in experience this time was very poor. The hotel is a bit far away from William Paul, and it is relatively hidden. There was no waiter when I arrived at the hotel. I knocked on the door for a long time and no one answered. I saw the sign on the wall, and I had to go to another castle hotel 8 minutes away group. When I took a shower in the bathroom after check-in, the light on the roof suddenly fell off, accompanied by the falling of the stone, which hurt my hand for 3 days! There is no waiter in the hotel, so I called us to deal with it in the morning of the second day.

GGuest UserAwful. Initially I was in a double room. Women daily 0540 by loud music which I believe was the kitchen staff starting breakfast preparation. Moved to single room on my final night. The heating on full was the difference between having a cooler box or a freezer. No cable other than power cable for the TV so no reception whatsoever. This was pointed out to the reception desk who told me no maintenance staff were available due to rostering. A coaxial cable would probably resolve the problem. However that was not provided. The staff were polite but had their hands tied on what they could do to resolve the issues. Just an awful experience sadly as the hotel is in a prime position. Polite staff who had to attend to a number of embarrassing complaints from other guests.

GGuest UserReally great Hotel. Cheapest around as well so don’t really get when people book cheap hotels and complain that it’s not 5* 😂. Location is amazing. The Loch is beautiful. Staff are really nice. Rooms have everything you need and are quite spacious. Food is really good although a wee bit expensive but still good sized portions.

LLIPINGThe hotel is in a good location, with a lake on one side and a commercial street on the other. Parking is convenient. If the hotel parking lot is full, you can park the public parking lot 50 meters away and stay free before 8:00. The house is older, the room is small, and the facilities are old. The staff is very welcoming and the attitude is very good.

AAnonymous UserSure enough, there is a reason for the low rating. But there are few choices in the town, and the occupancy rate is still very high. There is nothing I can do. The breakfast is much better than the room.
