Guest UserEverything was great, especially waking up to the view of Lake Wanaka and the 'Lone Tree' across the lake. The autumn colors were vibrant and beautiful. If it were summer, there's even a swimming pool downstairs. I wish I could have stayed for a whole week! The room was spacious too. Perfect!

The hotel room was spacious and comfortable, providing plenty of room to relax and move around. Overall, everything was spotlessly clean, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The kitchen was fully equipped with all the essentials, making it super convenient to whip up a late-night meal whenever we wanted. While the location isn't right in the heart of the city center, it's just a quick few-minute drive away, so getting around was still incredibly easy and hassle-free. Highly recommend! :)

The hotel is on the hillside, close to the lake and more than ten minutes downhill. We stayed for one night and did not use the hotel's public facilities. The room was large and the bed was comfortable. Of course, the price was not low.

This room type is on the second floor of the hotel, and there's no elevator. Carrying several suitcases up the narrow external stairs was quite a challenge. Furthermore, there's construction next door, resulting in considerable dust and noise. It's not worth the price.

hyykkkFacilities: The kitchen is fully equipped, including a two-in-one hot pot and barbecue pot. Enjoy hot pot one day and barbecue the next, a delight.
Cleanliness: Very good, clean and hygienic, and a very comfortable stay.
Service: The check-in guy was very friendly and gave us some directions.
Environment: The hotel is right in front of Lake Wanaka, and a 5-minute walk to the commercial street full of food. It's also very close to the local supermarket, NEW WORLD. The walk along the lake to the loneliest tree takes about 25 minutes.

music11The location wasn't a major issue since the center of Wanaka is quite small. Although it's not directly on the lake, it was an easy walk. However, if you prefer a hotel right on the waterfront, you might want to consider other options. The kitchen facilities are especially well-equipped, making it an excellent choice if you're looking for a studio-style room. I would definitely consider staying here again if I revisit.

50+叹世界I had a very enjoyable stay at Alpine Motel Wanaka.
The location is very convenient, just a short walk to Lake Wanaka, cafes, restaurants, and shops, which makes exploring the town easy without needing to drive. The area is also quiet, so it’s perfect for a relaxing stay.
The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, with useful facilities like a kitchenette. Parking was easy, and the overall setup is very practical for both short and longer stays.
Overall, a great value stay with a good balance of comfort and location. I would definitely consider staying here again.

Anonymous UserGreat location with parking, though it can get quite full. It's a short 5-minute walk to the lake, and there's a supermarket right across the street with plenty of restaurants nearby. The room only has a microwave and a fridge; no induction or gas hob, and not many other appliances. The main door is more like a balcony door. Being on the ground floor was fine, but if you're on the second floor, you'll have to carry your luggage up the stairs. All the emails and written notices stated that check-out was at 4 PM, but upon arrival, we were told it was 5 PM. I heard that for after-hours check-in, the key would be in a safe near the front desk. The toiletries provided (hand soap, shampoo, and shower gel) are all honey-scented, which was an interesting experience. The front desk was manned by a kind grandma, and I think I saw a grandpa doing the cleaning.

I arrived late and left my key on the lobby door. I checked in the next day. There are two floors, one upstairs and one downstairs. The lower one has a garage. It takes about ten minutes to drive to the tree in Wanaka.
