Porto Marina Hotel ★★★★
"Leaks, water seepage, little support from the hotel, and the same price."
Hotel Omaga El peñol- Guatape ★
Atma Boutique Hotel Guatapé ★★★
"Everything in this hotel is of VERY SUPERIOR class: the attention of its employees, the design and quality of its rooms, the careful originality of its cuisine, the unique and unrepeatable landscape, the nature, the view you have of each place... . and at night: the spectacle of its ingenious and resounding lighting... everyone who can should know this hotel."
Viajero Guatapé Hostel & Lake Club ★★★
"Amazing view really chill"
Vivanti Resort ★★★★
"I was very surprised by the excellent customer service. The quality of the food is outstanding, the room was very beautiful, and the view is wonderful. From almost every area of the hotel, you can enjoy a view of the water and mountains. Robinson provided us with excellent service, as did Felipe, the bartender, and all the waiters. We felt completely at ease!"
Hotel Nova El Peñol ★★★
Montecielo Hosting Guatape ★★★★
The Boato Hotel ★★★★
"First learned of Guatape and El Boato from watching reviews on YouTube. We especially liked the look and layout of the El Boato. It was easy for us to reach out to the property via WhatsApp. They arranged safe and efficient private transportation to and from MDE airport at a reasonable cost. We were given a casita closest to the lobby which was both a blessing, (because all the other casitas could be quite a challenging walk for some people), and a curse because you can hear the constant music from the lobby/restaurant. We learned to live with the music which eventually went off at 9PM and were thankful we did not have to climb the hill to either go to town or to dine at the restaurant. The casita was warm and inviting. It came equipped with a two burner surface gas stove. Fridge with mini-bar and snacks for sale. Room also came equipped with plates, silverware, coffee cups and glasses. Our room did not come with a coffee maker, just a couple of packets of instant coffee. I asked if they had something else to assist me in making coffee and they brought to the room an electric kettle. I purchased a container of instant coffee in town which was much easier than the two packets. We were surprised to find that they did not have an adequate supply of fresh coffee in the restaurant for the diners? The room included a large portable electric fan which we used several times to cool down the room from the afternoon sun. We had no problem getting to sleep at night, the temperature was fine for sleeping. The room had two large sliding glass doors to view the lake and let the fresh air in. No screens, we had several sparrows visit but they quickly left. Our bed and pillows were comfortable. We knew there was no room safe but there was nothing to worry about and not needed. Shower and sink were wonderful. Our complaints:Not enough hand to wels and another property with no facecloths. Perhaps they get taken? The wooden chairs inside the room were extremely uncomfortable and one was in need of repair. You just could not sit in them comfortably. The two deckchairs also were of odd design and as a result you are unable to adjust them much. The hot tub was nice but the water faucet to fill it was installed in the wrong place. You had to literally get into the hot tub to change the temperature, which is challenge with the hot water heater type they utilize for it. We did enjoy the nightly fire. Yes, you have your own personal fire pit on your deck! And each nite a nice gentleman brings the wood and makes the fire for you! Unfortunately during our stay, unknown to us, the lake was very low. We were told that the lake was intentionally drained so they could work on it. People were still kayaking from the dock and were able to manage the long walk down the steps to the dock. If I could I would suggest installing a handrail. The property also managed to always secure a Tuktuk for us which was very helpful. It was safe and we always knew the $ into Guatape. The proper"

Hotel la Magdalena Adult Only
"Everything I experienced was spectacular: the delicious food, the facilities, the view. I give it a 10 out of 10. I went with my partner, and we both had a wonderful experience. We connected with the place and nature, and she was able to work from there"
The Palms Hotel
Roka Hotel
La Pausa Hotelbistro
"We had a lovely time at La Pausa, despite the uninspiring weather during our visit. The hotel has excellent views of the lake and our cabin was a tad rustic, but very comfortable. We loved the hot tub and enjoyed just hanging around the grounds. The gas fires on the veranda are a great idea too. Staff could not have been more helpful, both on WhatsApp and in person. The restaurant is on the more expensive side for dinner, but we enjoyed our meals. Breakfast was delicious. We were woken up at 6am by a neighbour’s gardener cutting grass, which wasn’t ideal. The staff could not have been more sorry, but there was realistically nothing they could have done about it."
Levit Glamping - Hotel Guatapé Peñol
"I want to start this out by saying I don't not blame the people who work there, they did all they could to try and salvage a miserable Valentines day excursion. I wanted to have a special romantic day with my girlfriend, but it was impossible at Levit glamping. The individual areas where you stay are sub-standard, the little pods where you sleep are tiny, I am not a large person and neither is my partner, but the pods feel more like a trap than a love nest, but that is not the big problem. The big problem is NOISE. All of the little are right on top of each other and you can hear everything that is going on in the area next to you and in the kitchen and dining area that is right next to our "romantic" love nest. Within a 5 minute time I could clearly hear the kitchen workers, a romantic comedy with drew barrymore and Adam Sandler, a couple worried about their son and a woman moaning with pleasure. It was if the pods were not out in the woods, but smack dab in the middle of Grand Central Station in NYC. It reminded me more of being in a youth hostel or army barracks, not a secluded romantic valentines day spot. We tried to leave, but because it was dark the boat could not take us to the mainland. We ended up sleeping in the workers cabin because it was so much quieter than the pod and the "highlight" of the trip was when somone's Burmese Mountain came in through the dog door and crawled into bed with us. We left first thing in the morning and headed back to Medellin. If you're exhibitionist, this might be the perfect place, bit if you want to go to Guatupe on Valentines day for a romantic evening, I would suggest you look for alternatives,"
